We love our new Highlander from San Marcos Toyota! Anthony made the buying process so easy for us. I never felt uncomfortable or pressured by Anthony or the finance department. The service center is equally awesome and very quick despite being super busy, I recommend having an appointment to make the process easier. Large comfy waiting area with snacks and cold water and soda.

I was looking for a dealership that provides personal, friendly and professional service. I found that at San Marcos Toyota. I was very happy with my my contact, Esther, when I called in to schedule a service appointment. I had a friendly, professional greeting upon arrival in the service bay by a man who got my service advisor. I'm sorry I didn't get his name. Nathan, my service advisor listened to me and was interested in giving me friendly, professional advice. Altogether, I felt like I had great service with professional advice.

Over priced and over promised. If you're older, have a good amount of disposable income and you trade your car in every 2 years, this might be a good option. If you have time, take that time to shop around. I wouldn't recommend starting here, the sales team is really good at keeping you on the hook... I really suggest recording audio, my memory is like a steel trap. I should've known better at my age the warranty and promised services sounded too good to be true.

Toyota of San Marcos is the most friendly, helpful and knowledgeable group of people with the service department. They did a maintenance service on my 4 wheel drive Tundra and had it completed before they had said it would be done. I will definitely use Toyota of San Marcos service again.

Usually a great service center but while I was checking out for my service I noticed another service liaison Nathan sort of giving the run around to a quite elderly lady. Waiting all day and I think just the general vibe of annoyance with her questions and legitimate concerns. She was trying to get home, had wasted most of her day sitting there. She was trying to schedule a time that's convenient for her in her as well as accounting for her health and the whole situation was not handled very professionally.I challenge you to ask what if it was your grandmother that was needing service and was treated that way.They've never had trouble with me but I'm a middle aged guy who knows what I'm doing, doesn't bode well if I ever send someone who might not be as forceful to come deal with service here.

You just lost a loyal customer. I've been taking my car there since 2017 when I bought the car right there. I scheduled appointment at 2.30pm for a simple oil change on my Toyota Corolla. The service advisor said I need to wait hour and a half in the dealership since they were "extremely booked". 2 hours pass by and I had to go to the counter to ask to return my car back because nobody, including the service advisor could give a reason why it was taken so long and why, after 2 hours, nobody came to me to tell me they didn't do anything yet. Not to mention that it was for an "express service". I seriously don't know how you manage your business. This is deplorable!!!!

First time ever Greeted in the parking lot! John, Shawn and Steve were so gracious, fun and accommodating. Have not had this amount of customer care in a very long time from any Dearlership. Took my car into the service center and had a great experience. Everyone was kind and accommodating. They shuttled me home and back to get my vehicle. I had a 30,000 mile update to make. I will return again.

I recently moved to the area and took my Lexus RX350 in for regular maintenance. The Service staff were friendly and helpful. The waiting area is very nice and I was able to get a cup of hot chocolate on a cold morning. Great service. I will definitely be back

Do not take your car here to get fixed, especially do not work with Jose Chapa. We communicated frequently about the overall work that would be performed on my vehicle and the total price of it all. He ended up overcharging me and blamed me for my confusion. For a whole week, I called multiple times to ensure I fully understood what was going on to make sure we were on the same page, but when I went to pick up my vehicle I ended up paying a price almost double the amount that we discussed. He also does not know how to contact your phone number, so do not even try to provide him with a secondary form of contact because he will end up only contacting that number. He also rarely answers back your call and if you miss his call by two minutes you won't hear back from him in more than two hours. Also, if they tell you to take a Lyft/Uber and promise to subtract the cost of it from your service total do not do it unless you have to. I was promised a refund for the three trips I had to take using Lyft, as long as it was under $200, but only part of the cost was removed from my total service cost. Jose Chapa and his partner are also very condescending, they speak down to you as if you do not know common knowledge. As a college student, I hoped not to get scammed, especially from this Toyota location in a college town, but that is exactly what they did. Save yourself the trouble and money, and drive to Austin instead.

Well I had just bought my truck so I was nervous to drop it off with y all /Toyota for the weekend, but the director made me feel at ease with his knowledge & hospitality, given me pointers and a complimentary loaner. Which was awesome! Then I was handed off to a young and competent Jose Chapa who was just as knowledgeable and hospitable. He took care of me the whole time and was very polite and professional even when I got upset with y all for holding my truck a couple days longer than quoted. But yall aka Jose always responded with respect and practical reassuring information that made me calm and more willing and corporative. Also the young man that dealt with the loaner check in and check out was great as well. He gave me a food ticket and showed me what I know call Toyota hospitality aka weekend family BBQ. It was an epic food truck attached to an even more epic Tundra truck. Over all it was a good experience and I will definitely be back. All thanks to Jose Chapa and bearded director.

The service department is a joke here. I bought my 2022 Tundra from here brand new so only have ever came here for the routine maintenance and such. Each and every time I have taken it in over the last 2 years it has been a frustrating experience. Just simple oil changes can take over 3 hours and that is with me taking it first thing in the morning when they open at 7am. Yesterday was the icing on the cake... had an appt at 9am to address 3 recalls on the truck as well as a transmission flush. Dropped it off and was told that I'd be updated on the status... 4:00 rolls around I didn't hear anything yet so called to see the status... I was told that no one got to my truck yet and that they'd need to keep it til the next day. So my truck basically sat there all day without even being looked at and I had to drive all the way back to go get it and was told to set up another appt. I called to set up an appt but the receptionists would put me on hold and never get back on. I tried to call 5 times. Apparently they are "swamped", so they say. It doesn't help that Toyota makes their vehicles to where no one can do ANY service on them but Toyota themselves! Transmission flush at Bradzoil would've been $199 but they said they can't do it because Toyota has it to where only they can do most maintenance! At Toyota I am told my transmission flush will be $350!!!! Toyota is just money hungry and now can't handle the work load they've put on themselves. Smh. I will never do business with Toyota again. Especially the San Marcos location.

Great customer service from Nathan. Clean facility. Kid friendly. I would recommend this location. In my opinion , front desk was a little disconnected with their guest. Soft skills where lacking such as patience, adaptability, clear communication, and self control.

READ the lowest star reviews on here, people!!Watch out to make sure your car has all its parts & pieces before driving off. Had to return to get car fixed properly because they didn t connect or double check certain things!!

Service Advisors are always friendly and professional. I have to drop a star since the Techs seem to always forget about replacing the air filter cover. I live across the highway and prefer driving to Alamo Toyota in SATX. The service is and I've never had any issues.

We are new to the area and have an older (but new to us) Toyota that needed service. I wanted to go to a place that I could trust, so a Toyota dealer made sense. My service advisor, Shane was very communicative and answered all my questions. I received a good estimate and was even offered a loaner car which made my life so much easier. Thank you for the top-notch customer service!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, General repairs, Wiper blade installation

I struggled with whether or not I should leave a review because I m not generally comfortable doing this. I scheduled an appointment for Monday at noon (yesterday) a few days before. I arrived right on time and the staff were nice. Everything seemed to be going well at first. My appointment was for a brake check and repair because I suspected the pads were thinning. I was told it would be around 360 to change the brake pads. I was also very clear with the person I was speaking with that my budget was 500 dollars. I literally only had 515 in my spending account because my husband and I are students. The oil change for synthetic was more than 85, which the person I was working with said was normal but I ve gotten a full synthetic oil change for half that price at other places. Overall, my total came out to 530 something and the poor guy helping me had to work it down with discounts and cuts for me. I now only have 4 dollars in my bank account. The issue is I was led to believe for most of the time that the total would be in the high 300s to early 400s. I can t even figure out why it ended up so high because some things are just listed under miscellaneous charges. I think they could have been much clearer about the price. I thought I was pretty clear about my budget.The main issue though was that I arrived on time at noon for a pre-scheduled appointment. I understand that sometimes you have to wait for them to finish up with others, but just my check (which I think they gave me a full diagnostic even though I said I didn t want one) took an hour and a half. I was then told that my services would take another hour and a half estimated. Well I ended up being there for over five hours all together. Pretty much everyone I saw that came after me had left by the time I was getting out. Frankly, it was just bad service all around and took up pretty much my entire day off work.

Don't talk to the salesmen out front, they will lead you astray.I had to deal with the parts department and they were very helpful in finding me the part I needed and explaining everything in detail. I forgot her name, but she was very helpful.

Went to have a 2nd key fob programmed for my vehicle. Everyone at the San Marcos Toyota Service Department was outstanding in the way I was helped with my needs for my vehicle. They even serviced my vehicle for me (I was just going to go get a 2nd key for my vehicle!). They went above & beyond, in my opinion. Thank you for making my trip to San marcos Toyota Service Department a great one.

Thank you Glen!!!(Unfortunately) my brand new RAV4 got hit by rock on the windshield and created a large crack before I even reached 1000 miles.Glen was my service advisor for the windshield replacement and I m so glad that he was. He kept me updated as we waited for the glass to come in. He is really great to work with, making a not-so-pleasant thing to deal with very pleasant. He cares that you are happy with the service and will make you smile with his jolly personality. He s going to be my go to service advisor for regular maintenance from now on.

Took my 2022 Toyota Sienna to San Marcos Toyota for an oil change and state inspection. I scheduled an on-line appointment 5 days earlier.I was greeted promptly and all service was completed as promised and in a timely fashion.

Wow wow wow is all I can say I m incredibly flabbergasted with the amount of attention to detail (minuscule) as they recommended a laundry list of things I need to get done. It s not recommended if they are saying I NEED it. As for a spark plug replacement at 89k? $219 Wheel alignment $189,windshield wiper blades $35. Really? I have Rain-X silicone. engine air filter $56, Cabin air filter $61, flushes of ALL KINDS THAT IM NOT DUE FOR. Serious up-selling.$1,579.78 total.They said it was based on what the technician saw but I checked my engine air filter and it was paper white. And WHEN I GOT BACK TO MY CAR. my glove box was on the floor. Go to Walmart, I trust that place with a wrench as these technicians are blind, unprofessional, and not trained.Edit: Forgot to mention that they listed my vehicle as a Prius C (compact)03/22/2022 GLEN the service advisor brought this 1 star experience the first time I went to a 4 star. The revamp of the department, and the flow was astronomically better. I m updated on my services and was treated like they wanted my business. The place felt inviting and I KNOW it s a dealership which most people are scared of, but I would trust this place behind my big repairs as glen explains the process and listens to my concerns on my vehicle.

Came in for an oil change, was recommended I get a few fluids to be changed as well. They could have told me to change transmission fluid but advised against it which saved me money. Shows the integrity held here. Guy was my advisor and was very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely come back and would recommend getting service done here over generic service operations.
