Lol. Phil is too smart to do a bad job. If one of the mechanics makes a mistake, then these guys are happy to hear your complaint, likely to fix the issue without hesitation, extra charge, or hassle, and will continue to be consistent whether you decide to be happy or miserable about your experience; Professionalism at its finest.That said, my experience here hasn't been, "Perfect," but I've certainly learned enough from both working on my bikes myself and having paid for labor that EVERY PENNY SPENT HERE was absolutely warranted and likely worth half as much, or less, at any other mechanic in the greater Austin/San Antonio areas.Again, nobody is perfect when it comes to this type of business, but Phil and his crew are damn-sure are as close as anyone can come. Your money is well spent here.You shouldn't be riding motorcycles if you are too soft to handle the truth. You'll receive truthful expectations here, and, realistically, that's about the best you can hope for from any auto-mechanic That's not even mentioning the fantastic prices they have on new/used rides here. Find a better price, I dare you.They also don't mind sharing advice when you want to do repair work for yourself.I could talk all day about how awesome bikes AND San Marcos Motorcycles are. GO THERE. You won't regret it.The only thing I'm sorry about is how long it took for me to leave an honest review!

These guys have the best pricing around and do their best to work with you on whatever you need. Gear, motorcycles, parts, and any service work you can imagine, they do it all. Thanks to Phil and mechanics for all the help!!

Great group of people! Brought my Harley in a few times for random things and have only had great experiences, fair pricing, and honest guys. It s a small bike shop so don t expect it done same day lol but 10/10 great place! Ask for the guy with the longest hair for the best service!

Phil and his crew are super friendly, straight shooters. Went to look at a different bike but fell in love with the one I bought. Phil was reasonable and we made a deal. He even fixed one tiny issue for free a few days later , quickly. You don t usually get that with a used motorcycle. I recommend them to my friends.

hello everyone. I recently bought a buddy scooter off craigslist. the seller wasnt honest about its problems. took it to phill and his crew at san marcos mc. phill quoted me a high cost estimate. and came in below it. these guys know their craft and are strait foreward in their buisseness dealings.I can only vouch for my happy experience with them. if you need a repair? give them your bissiness. highly reccomend them. will use them in the future.

I put my super duke in there for a whole motor rebuild and because it's Austrian it was hard for me to find any other place that would work on my bike. They were not only able to fix it they have provided me with oil changes and maintenance since for free just to make sure everything's good on my baby. Can't say enough about how awesome this place is.

Very easy-going guy who run this shop. It is a small outfit but they do their best to work you in as you wait if you re needing service also have a good selection of used bikes and new dirt bikes.

My husband went in for an oil change and chain adjustment, and he is so impressed with Phil. He said that he is the funniest and most genuine guy he's met in this entire city. He changed his oil preference based on shop advice and says his bike is running smoother than it's ever run before. The oil is also less expensive than what honda recommends but meets the same specifications. The proof is in the way it sounds and rides.Thank you Phil for giving him hope and laughter. Please keep doing what you're doing!!

Bought a new Beta last year from Phillip and couldn t be happier unless he gave it to me! Seriously top notch customer service and very knowledgeable friendly guy. You can tell he was raised right! I brought bike back today to have a Beta recall/re-flash done per Beta US ( also top notch) and was done in a timely professional manner. He also didn t add all the up charges like the other dealers which was a nice no haggle way of doing business. Will definitely buy my next bike from him and also only place I will take current bike for service. Also met some of his other customers that were just good people too and even had one young man that was getting a tube load my bike for this old man! Phillip knows him as a good customer friend relationship it looked to be and please tell that young man thanks again for helping a old man out he sure didn t have to. That just shows you what kind of business Phillip and his team run! The old school way of doing good business!Thanks again and keep up the good work! Would buy at least 2 more bikes right now if I could! Long winded but when I see good people doing good business especially these days I always show my appreciation !

Great shop, honest pricing. I ordered a Shinko 705 front tire for a Vstrom 650 which they had by the next day and were going to put on for me. ($160 installed, total price.)However, the bike I was going to install it on had some other issues and I decided to go another way. Called AFTER they received tire in and they still refunded my purchase.Great business, Customer for life.Update(s): Returned to later to find they had the absolute best deals on used motorcycles, far exceeding any of the other dealers. Purchased a Versys 650 from them and couldn't have been happier.Later into my Versys ownership, I left a difficult to get to clutch cable mount bolt out thinking it would be fine. Instead it spouted oil like a geyser and I stopped at San Marcos Motorcycle, who took 20 minutes putting in a new bolt and charged me nothing. Great place, nothing but class.

I've used San Marcos Motorcycles a few times for tires, they are very good technicians. The labor cost is competitive with other shops. I also bought a used yamaha roadliner from them and I am super happy with it. The price was less than I thought it would be. It runs like new. I'll definitely go back again.

My best friend has come here a couple times, phil and Jim are awesome very knowledgeable and great at working on the bikes. They fixed our carbs and regulator in a great time considering the back up on bikes at the time. I can't say enough how much we love this place. Anyone who needs their bikes fixed accurately or have questions call them.

Phil is great! Tiny shop with tons of knowledge and lots of local realness. We talked for a good bit. No tactics, just friendly and passionate about bikes. Wish more businesses were like this. I'll be back. Swing by, just tell them where you're at - beginner or old hand. Good people :)

I want to thank San Marcos motorcycle( Phil and his crew). I have a 96 vulcan classic. Several places refused to touch a bike over 10 yrs old. I needed my tires replaced, Phil told me to bring her in. He took her in and got started right away. While replacing my tires they found a problem with my brakes. They took care of that as well. I can't thank them enough for all their help. I will be a customer for as long as I ride.

Great people, very knowledgeable, they listen very intently to your needs and will not try to up sell you on stuff that you do not need like the Harley shop. I'm very happy with everything they did and of course the price. Sorry Harley; I have a new Motor Cycle shop......

Hour of labor is 100 and is not worth it. Just because they are the only ones in town they believe they can charge even for breathing air. I ll be looking for another shop or learn to do the work myself.New edit : you added super EXTRA oil when I did the change, left bolts loose. In that case I could ve done it. Bad thing I cant post no stars

Each and every guy here is so damn helpful. Always have fun shop talking here and learning more about my bike. Phill will make sure to put the time and work into making sure you get exactly what you need. As much as I d like to fix my bike up myself I know I can always trust the boys here to keep me riding.

Phil is kind of abrasive and stuck up. However,he is a freaking genius when it comes to bikes. I get all my work done there and nothing is more frustrating then a bike you can't ride... they helped me get me riding again a quickly. Good pro staff. .... thanks you all

I must say I have never been so impressed with Phil he is a very bright and intelligent young man and for someone who does not know a lot about motorcycles he let me know all I need to know about motorcycles. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who is looking to get into bikes as well as people who have been riding for years. Thanks Phil you are the best.

I have bought and sold and traded just about every bike I've ever had since 2016 to now here at this shop. Phillip and his team have treated me like family and have helped me out with getting me back on two wheels. His team has the best service for all your bike needs and wants if he don't have the part he gets the part and works with you on payments. I will always do business with Phillip and his shop as they continue to grow. The service rates aren't bad and they get you going where other dealerships will not have your motorcycles and atvs done after 6 months. His team and shop is the only shop I trust with working on all my old-school bikes I have. Phillips team is currently working on a supermoto of mine and the timing that it all got rebuilt and the new parts on is amazing its only been 2 months since that bike went in and even due to the winter storm it's almost complete and fully street legal. If your ever in the area and need a motorcycle or even parts for your bikes or quads or you just want to see what he has in store stop by and take a look.

Would not take your bike here to get serviced if you don't know anything about bikes. Brought my bike in for its initial service for the miles.They returned her but now the gas guage continues to flash, which was not the case when I dropped it off. They tried to get me to let them told onto it a little longer as it could've been a simple fix. I said it wasn't like that prior to dropping it off. The clerk insisted they don't touch the tank during the initial service.Loe and behold, I get the bike back, and the wire harness for the sensor was unclipped.Shady dealings, mate.
