These guys re the best. They have taken great care of my cars and always shown courtesy and respect. They understood that I was a widow and treated me with the upmost dignity and never tried to take advantage of the situation. I have since used them for my daughter s car and they treat her with the same service and courtesy. I would never use anybody but them. I 100% stand behind them and all the staff. THEY ARE THE BEST IN SAN MARCOS.

Scott is the man to go to. He has done all the work on our truck. That is why when I needed tires I went to him even tho he was going to send me somewhere else. But I only have him do my work. As an out of town traveler. Scott got me in immediately. Checked out my truck and called me with a detailed report. The work was accomplished that day. I was able to keep to my schedule. The pricing was very fair and reasonable. I just wish yall were closer to my home. Great job. Thanks

These people at San Marcos Auto Center are absolutely amazing. My truck had been at Ford for almost 5 months And they wouldn t get it fixed. I had it taken to San Marcos Auto Center. They were able to determine that what Ford was saying needed to be done didn t and they got it all running for me with no problems and stayed in constant contact with me keeping me updated on progress. I highly recommend them.

If you drive a car or truck, you need to bring it to David, Scott, and Jorge at San Marcos Auto Center. The team here takes care of customers like family. The technicians are top notch, experts in the field. From oil changes and regular maintenance to major repairs, San Marcos Auto Center is the only place I trust with my Subaru Crosstrek. Truthfully, this is the only place I trust to work on my vehicle. Thanks so much for everything you've done to keep me and my family safe on the road! I am glad to call these people friends and neighbors. They do good work and they always do the right thing. What more can you ask for?

This shop has been so great to work with for both mine and my husband's cars. They have integrity in their work and pricing. I had standard brake repair about a month ago, and then my brakes stopped working properly. I didn't feel safe to drive it, so they came to my house and picked it up. They fixed the problem at no charge even though the issue was unrelated to the brake work they had done. This is probably our 3rd experience like this with this shop.

The guys took care of my truck faster then I thought and at a better price than I expected. Their communication was the best part, they stayed in touch and didn't leave any questions unanswered. The issues I was having were more technical and the truck isn't very common so I was a bit apprehensive but hoping for the best and they really did a great job. I've taken other vehicles to them and will continue to do so in the future.

I took my car in for brake work after moving my business from a competitor across the street and I was very happy with the experience. Everyone communicated with me throughout the process and ensured that I was happy with the work. There was a slight delay when the team inspected the work and discovered something else that needed to be addressed. This resulted in a slight delay in getting my car back but I really appreciated how their first concern was making sure my car would be safe and functional for an upcoming road trip. They also threw in a coupon for a free detail job as compensation for the very small delay. I will be taking my family's vehicles here for future work because I was really satisfied with the prices, the communication, the customer service and ultimately the actual work done.

Scott was very helpful with my power steering problem. He found a factor recall that the Dodge dealerships didn t even know about. It was a difficult diagnosis, but he drove around with me to assess the problem. Great service and knowledge! Thanks!

I absolutely cannot say enough great things about this place, especially Scott! He went out of his way to help me; way above & beyond! I have recently lost my job so finances are, well, pretty much nonexistent! They worked with me more so than anyone else would have, that s for certain! Scott helped me get a tow truck to get my car to their shop; and when I say helped me , I mean he literally paid for the tow out of his own pocket! Thank you so much Scott for everything including putting up with me crying on the phone! They did a wonderful job repairing my vehicle & got it back to me promptly so I could get to my job interview! Everyone there is just wonderful! I wish I could give you guys 10 stars instead of 5! You all certainly have a customer for life! I highly recommend them & trust them! There s still good, honest folks in this world & they re all at San Marcos Auto Center! Again, thank you all for all your help; you are so appreciated, much more than you ll ever know!!

Overall great experience. A little pricy but wroth it. Very hard these days to find an honest mechanic. San Marcos Auto Center fits the bill. Honest and friendly; they won t try to bill you of unnecessary repairs.

I would like to thank everyone at San Marcos Auto Center for taking great care of my 2003 Chevy Truck. They were very professional and did a great job. The auto center was able to get my truck done as promised , only in two days, considering I had lots to repair.Thank You guys, and Scott,KJ

I ve been going to San Marcos Auto for about five years and they have always provided fair and upfront costs, great mechanical advice and services. However sometimes their location on Hwy 123 was hard to get to. So I ve tried un Reliable Automotive for an oil change and tire rotation and was told that my vehicle was in good shape. Only to discover the very next day my brake sensors were bad according to Reliable and it would be around $500 to fix. So I had them replaced and the very next day all the brake lights came on along with other brake malfunction lights. I took it back again this time they said it would be $1500 to replace and program system. I paid and had it fixed and have not been back since. Lesson learned, so I was very pleased that San Marcos Auto moved to their new location on Hunter Road and will only use and recommend from now on.

Fantastic work. Had a different place try to replace my breaks, Auto center made it clear that wasn t necessary and took me in the shop to show me what was wrong. Good prices, honest people, quality technicians. George at the front desk was fantastic and very responsive at all times. Best in the 78666Update: Went back, they diagnosed a battery problem for free and directed me to a cheaper place for the fix. Once again, George is the very best!

I was referred to go see Jorge at San Marcos Auto Center to get my vehicle checked on my 2015 Nissan Altima on engine mount. I went to see Jorge and felt good i would be able to trust them checking my vehicle. Jorge gave me a breakdown quote which I was good to see how they break it down. I was very pleased with the great job they did replacing my engine mount insulator. My vehicle drove very quiet with no noise. Thank you Jorge. I sure will return back on any repairs for my vehicle. I definitely can refer you to San Marcos Auto Center.

San Marcos Auto Center repaired my 2002 F-150, which I urgently needed for work, quickly and efficiently. Their communication and transparency was top notch, and the employees I communicated with were very polite and upbeat. The fella working the counter when I paid my bill, Scott, was very helpful and made it possible for me to pay my bill. (Give that man a raise.) I would absolutely recommend San Marcos Auto Center.

These are hands down the best guys in town! Scott was amazing, as well as George and Anthony very patient and understanding also very professional and don t feed you excuses or lies they have good time management for the jobs they do. After going to other auto shops in town, I would definitely recommend San Marcos Auto Center. After a complete diagnostic, they explained what needed to be fixed immediately and what I could wait on. I have even been back for an oil change and it was cheaper than the drive thru oil change places. I ll definitely go back if my car should need anything. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and reasonable prices.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Battery, Oil change

Quite happy with this place. I had a car that they weren't able to fix due to access to parts and they didn't charge me for the diagnosis. I'm impressed with that, never had a shop do something like that.
