The Riley s rebuilt the automatic transmission in my 1999 Isuzu after a few other shops had declined the job. This team is very knowledgeable and acts with integrity. I ve since driven ~1000 miles and the transmission is going strong.

This place thought they could strong arm me into replacing a transmission on a 2017 dodge ram 2500 when it only had 130,000 miles on it. They didn t put it on the lift !!! All he did was drive it around and tell me I needed it replaced, also said because he knew what he was talking about he didn t need to put it on the lift. Bunch of crock

These guys rebuilt the automatic transmission in my Dodge 4 x 4 diesel. A local motorcycle shop recommended them. They did a great job. I recently returned for a check up. They checked it over again. It has been about 25,000, miles since the rebuild. That was about two years ago. They did not charge me a dime for the visit. They recommended to keep driving, and maybe return in another 10,000, miles for a service. They are professional. They are courteous. They are family owned. They charge less than big national shops. From start to finish, I was treated as a valued customer. My transmission needed an overhaul due to a failed internal part. It was promptly diagnosed, and my options were fully explained to me. The overhaul was finished in the predicted amount of time (something that I was not overly concerned about), and the price was, to me, reasonable for the work done. Best of all, "Betty" Ford F-150 is back on the road, and driving beautifully. I feel so fortunate to have "discovered" this family owned business, and can wholeheartedly recommend this shop! I will not hesitate to bring my other vehicles to Riley Transmissions for service. When you've found the BEST, there is no need to go anywhere else. Simply amazing! I needed some work done on my vehicle while in town and decided to stop in at Riley s due to the reviews and let me tell you there were spot on! Joan and the staff keep you informed during the entire process and assist if there is anything else you need maintenance with! Would definitely come back and recommend this to ANYONE!

I have dealt with Bob & Joan Riley for a very long time. my vehicles have always been repaired on time and below or right on budget. No one touches my transmissions but these people. Honest, dependable,transparent, and will NOT try to sell you something you don't need.You will know as much as you want to know about your vehicles or as little as you want. They will talk with you about your car issues not at you or down too you; very professional. Thank you for taking such good care of our cars.

Joan at Riley Transmission helped my wife and I out when our car's transmission died. She talked us through options and gave us quotes, and was very good about communicating promptly and clearly throughout the process. We ended up deciding to sell our car instead of fixing it, and Joan helped us find several potential buyers. She was super helpful at a really stressful time, and she spent hours of her time helping us figure out what to do with our car, then refused to let us pay her for her time and efforts.Knowledgeable, honorable, and kind service. Have a leak coming from the transmission cooler line connector and called them up to see if they could help get me back on the road quickly. I'm a rural letter carrier with the USPS and was in the middle of my route when the leak sprung so I called them up to see if they had time to take a look at it. Joan was very nice and told me to bring it by understanding that I am on a tight schedule. I explained the issue with their technician, Rex and he is currently doing all he can to patch me up. I'm not expecting miracles, but I have a feeling that I might just get one today.I'll update this review after they finish. Thank you, Riley Transmissions!Update: Miracles do happen! The previous owner had installed the wrong connector which was why the hard-line kept coming loose and dumping all my fluid. Rex was able to replace it with the right fitting and had me back on my route in less than a hour. Very pleased with Riley Transmissions!

I called to compare prices. The lady i spoke to said she would take my number and call me back with a price because a deposit was required before placing an order. Perfect. Fast forward to the following week, I haven't heard anything so I call. She still didn't have a price for me because she had forgot. All I told the woman was if I was planning on spending this kind of money with them, I expected better customer service. She told me "then we are not the place for you". And hung up. I called back, still willing to do business with them and she told me she didn't price it yet because I wasn't going to actually do the job until October. I informed her that i had been waiting for a price so I could pay the deposit THIS FRIDAY and I would be ready to get it done October 7th. She proceeded to tell me she didn't call me back because she figured since I was comparing prices I probably couldn't afford it. I asked to speak with somebody else and the request was denied. They lost a $2500 job because of this woman's poor customer service and attitude. I told her this as well and she replied,"We don't care." So naturally, I will take my business elsewhere.

I was having difficulty reversing but I knew my whole transmission wasn t the problem. After taking it to other shops and having them immediately turn me down telling me I was going to need to replace my whole transmission. I took it to Riley Transmissions and Joan was very kind and thorough, after dropping my car off mid day. Joan said she d give me a call at the end of the day, I got the call I was expecting, she told me that they would have to keep it overnight but that they would call first thing in the morning. Sure enough I woke up to my phone ringing and it was Joan. She said my car would be ready for pick up today and quoted me right away. I was so happy to pick up my baby, and she s running better than ever! Thank you Riley Transmissions for actually taking the time to look and diagnose my car unlike some other places were there only solution was a whole new transmission.

I have a 69c10 with an LQ9 and a T56 powertrain. I have been working to restore this vehicle from a frame off and ran into a problem with my transmission hard shifting and the clutch slipping. The hydraulics that I utilized from an OEM retail shop were not up to the task and led to several problems with with the clutch. Bob was able to diagnose the hydraulics down to the root cause. This part failed due to overheating. I wont go into all the details there but I will say that I would not recommend American Powertrain at all for parts. Bob completely reworked the hydraulics with a Tilton 6000 throwout. Bob also worked on setting up the McLeod twin disc clutch correctly.I just want to say thanks and I really appreciate the effort that Bob and the team at Riley transmissions put forth to resolve these problems. I definitely recommend this shop and will to my C10 friends out there.Service: Transmission

I broke down when I was passing through. A guy at a lube place recommended them and said they had been in the business for 40+ years and that they are honest people. He was right. Unfortunately, I accidentally went to the wrong place. After figuring out I had gone to the wrong transmission shop, and after a lot of trouble at this other transmission shop, I took it to Riley. They helped me out, diagnosed the real problem, and were very kind. At this point I was able to tow my truck back home to get it fixed locally. Thanks Riley!

The older man and the son are knowledgeable, the techs are nice and will help you out but the lady at the front is of no help. I was having some popping in my transmission and she said they'd get to it that day. I waited two days and had to go up there Friday before they closed to get any help. The trans tech drove my truck around the block and said everything was fine. Took him ten minutes and the lady charged me $54 bucks. She said that this service charge was going to be applied to the pan drop and service to the transmission (Fluid replacement) but she wouldn't quote me. I told her Ammco does it for 250$ full flush and pan drop but she said it would be way more than that. She told me three times she was going to call me back and never received a phone call from her. Take your transmission issues to Ammco. They are same day service and they get the job done.

Great job!!! Honest prices, they came in under the quote and that was awesome. They showed where the problem was and this makes a huge diffrence!! I for sure have a big family and will direct them to Rileys... Thanks guys

I am giving this business 1 star because I was quoted a $100 fee just to look at my truck, not even open the transmission pan. Once I dropped it off the owner and his wife seemed very nice and helpful. I later received a phone call from them stating that they were going to charge me $500+ Just to open the transmission and replace a neutral safety switch on the outside of the transmission due to it leaking fluid. If you know anything about transmissions you will know that a neutral safety switch is only a switch and it has no possible way of leaking fluid. So I immediately called them back and told them not service my truck do to the high cost of basically just opening up my transmission. When I showed up to get my truck the owners wife told me that their technician said he needed to replace the switch because it had oil on the outside of the switch. Not that it was leaking(because it cannot leak). So I still refused the service and when the owners wife went to ring me up she told me the total was $110 after they discounted $30 of fees. But over the phone I was told that it would be no more than $100. I will never use this company again, nor would I recommend anyone else to ever go here.

A great big "thank you" to Riley Transmissions for an outstanding job rebuilding my 1963 Pontiac Lemans transaxle. This is a rare transmission/differential setup for which I was concerned about finding a shop willing and capable of doing the rebuild, much less getting it done in a timely manner and for a very reasonable price. Bob J. and his team did an outstanding job with this rebuild and kept me updated continually with progress reports as they sourced "hard to find" parts and performed the rebuild. I will be taking any future transmission or differential problems that I might have, including late model and classic cars, to Riley Transmissions. I have complete confidence in their competence and honesty and I very much appreciate the work that they did for me.Thanks...Chip S.

Very friendly, got the job done as soon as they could. Helped me find the lowest price. Was about to get charged about $1200 at aamco for an unecessary part and ended up only having to pay $350 here and the car runs good.

These people will rip you off and try to make it seem like an honest mistake. Do not trust them under any circumstances. They kept my car for two weeks, did three hours of labor on it, did not fix the problem I brought it in for, and then charged me over a thousand dollars. This business is a racket.

These are good people here and will treat you right. I cannot speak on behalf of the work they do because I ended up not having the transmission worked on. But, in the dealings I did have with them, I could tell they were honest folk. I would do business with them in the future.
