Since I purchased a used vehicle a few months ago, Reliable Automotive has absolutely lived up to their name!! This place is our official mechanic spot. My Jeep had a coolant leak that they fixed, but after a while I had the same issue, and they never charged me again to work on that issue until they found a permanent solution. When I went in to replace my catalytic converter, other stuff with my vehicle started going wrong. They initially gave us a price for the catalytic replacement and spent weeks trying to figure out the other issues. They put in so much time and care in making sure I received my vehicle in better condition than I left it, and now she is running better than I ever imagined and after all the stuff they had to do to make sure she was running correctly, the price stayed the same. They are always very transparent about the process as well and truly care about the quality of the service. I LOVE this place and the rapport they build with their clients. Highly recommend this place. Thank you Jose for all your help!!

I had an incredible experience with Reliable Automotive. My car had work done a month ago to replace a crushed fuel tank (while on a road trip from Dallas and I was stranded in Wimberley, Tx lol) and reliable automotive was a lifesaver. I had to get towed to this shop on a weekend, get back home to Dallas via megabus for my work week, and coordinate with reliable automotive from afar to diagnose and repair all the damage. I successfully retrieved the vehicle a week later- my part was miraculously shipped in a few days and the auto team installed the fuel tank so quickly. If that ordeal wasn t enough of a headache though I goofed and accidentally left my key fob with the mechanic (I used my backup when I came to pickup the car after hours). One of the gentlemen from Reliable Automotive graciously offered to drop off my key fob with Pak Mail so that it could get shipped back to me.Thank you SO much Andrew & team. Incredible service all around! I wish I were local so I could come back for all my automotive needs. Happy New Year!

Amazing service and people! My car broke down with a bunch of issues and Jose took care of everything quickly, efficiently, and kept me updated throughout the entire process. Loved the service will definitely be going here for other car problems.

Andrew and his team rocked my world. I was driving from Austin to San Antonio for a special event, and about half way my engine splash guard began dragging on the ground. Not knowing the area, I called Reliable and they got me seen right away. As a woman who does not know a lot about cars, going to a mechanic can be intimidating. Reliable auto made me feel so safe and cared for. They answered all of my "stupid" questions and did not judge me when I did not know the answers for those they asked me. Honestly I could cry thinking about how amazing the experience was. Clean waiting room and facilities, staff was personable and we shared some laughs. They got me back on the road within an hour. THANK YOU ANDREW!!!!!!!!!!!

On my way to work and my truck went down. Joe and his team helped me get it repaired and patiently wait for me to return back to pick it up. Joe and his team stayed in great communication on the repairs and diagnostics of every step. I highly recommend them.

I have been a customer at Reliable Automotive for about five years. I ve had nothing but positive experiences with Reliable and yesterday was no exception. Andrew was fantastic at helping diagnose the problem, make a recommendation and went above and beyond what I expected. When I called to thank him today he told me it s his job to keep me safe. I love Reliable Automotive!

They were able to get me in same day for an oil change. I didn't have a ride, so I waited in the lobby and was able to hear what they communicated with other customers as well as parts dealers. They gave everyone the truth, no overselling, no pressuring for unnecessary additions, just what they need, when, and why. They really seem to care about their customers: from a new face like mine, to others who've been with them for a while. They're passionate about their work and keep their hearts at the front of it.Service: Oil change

I used to go to the Kyle location, but everytime we would go in for our appointment it would always end up taking at-least an entire day to even be looked at, with no repairs done.Called the San Marcos location, and my man Andrew said it would take maybe a few hours for an alignment. Went in and it was taken back right away and in and out in maybe an hour and a half. Andrews company while you waited made time go by faster. This is now my go to location for any of my vehicles repairs.Highly recommend these guys for anything!!!

Hands down best shop ANYWHERE. Andrew (service advisor) and his team are always transparent, knowledgeable, and efficient. I used to mainly go to the dodge dealership but they always take forever and do the bare minimum. If you describe an issue to other service advisors you get a deer in a headlight look with a default response you ll have to leave it here, we won t be able to get to it til tomorrow . Reliable Automotive gets you in and out with explanations and best prices to boot. I learn stuff there. They are the Automotive Repair Gods.

We got our vehicle inspected at this location. The inspector squeezed us in before his lunch break, which was so nice of him. Everyone we spoke with was friendly and very helpful. :)

I m extremely satisfied with the quality and speed of services received at Reliable Automotive! Staff have always been very professional, patient, communicative and knowledgeable! First off I want to say that the staff was very friendly and I m sure these people are great for everyday run of the mill repairs. With that being said, my car broke down and they were the closest shop to me. They told me that I needed a head gasket repair amongst other things. My bill came out to about $6000 and my car was in their shop for 6 weeks (3 weeks longer than they said it would be). Once I picked up the car, it smelled heavily of gas and the check engine light turned on. I texted the mechanic about it but he assured me nothing was wrong and I was safe to drive to Dallas, so I drove to Dallas. About an hour into my drive the splash guard comes loose due to loose screws and starts dragging on the highway. I texted the mechanic, he assured me I m safe to continue my drive. I got it to a BMW dealer in Dallas and the splash shield repair cost about $300. Reliable Automotive was kind enough to cover that bill which I really appreciated. However, the heavy smell of gas was still there. Then, the other day my car began to jerk/stall. I immediately informed the mechanic, and this time he sent me a warranty claims phone number. Today, I tried to drive my car back to the BMW dealership and it began to shake and stall very hard, my check engine light turned on, and I got a drivetrain malfunction notification. I called the warranty claims number and they informed me they will not be covering the cost to tow my car, and they will likely not even cover any additional repairs it needs because at Reliable Automotive, a head gasket repair is not covered under warranty. In conclusion, working with these people has been a nightmare. I m not trying to pull a Karen but I feel pretty justified in writing a negative review at this point. If you need a simple oil change, I m sure these guys can figure it out. But anything beyond that, I highly suggest towing your car to a place more qualified and reliable.

Great customer service. I brought my car in because of a coolant leak and they found the cause which was the radiator. I was there about an hour trying to figure out what I was going to do and they were very understanding, polite, and didn t charge me for the diagnosis.

I had a great first experience at Reliable, I took my Fr-s in to get the starter replaced and they were very fair with the price. My conversations with andrew were very helpful and my tech luke did a great job of throughly checking my car and figuring out there was a small wiring issue instead. Would definitely come back and I recommend this shop to others.

Jose and Andrew were really helpful and knowledgeable. I have gone twice already one for a battery installation and the other for an oil change. They were patient and answered all of my questions. Definitely the place to go!

I've come to Reliable Automotive for all my car needs for the past 6 years, they took care of me countless times, now not so much. I remember one time in particular where a skid plate was knocked loose and hitting my tire and they popped it back into place free of charge, saying that they didn't have to do much. Yesterday, my check engine light came on, they said it was just a loose gas cap, had my car maybe thirty minutes. 100 dollars they charged me. When I came in I saw a bunch of unfamiliar faces, looked like a new manager too since the last time I was there. Don't go here, diagnostic fee be damned, tightening my gas cap and telling me to go get a new oe one from the manufacturer is not 100 dollars worth of service. And my check engine light i still on, they didn't even repair the issue. This is why people go to Autozone I guess but I thought this was a mechanic I could trust to not run a scam on me.One of the other changes I noticed was they didn't even call me when my vehicle was done. They texted me a link to a chart that didn't even make it clear what the issue was I had to call them. What a way to complicate things and remove the customer service, the service I got as a whole this time was apathetic at best.

These guys always do great work! Repairs are never a fun surprise, the team here makes the experience a pleasant one. Respectful, honest, fast, and generously priced. If you are looking for a shop to rely on their name speaks for itself.

These guys are my go to place in San Marcos! Fair prices and good work. My only complaint would be that they mark up the prices on OEM parts if they order it for you but I understand they have to make their money, other than that. A solid business! Service Advisor Jose Romero is the best! I brought my 2011 Charger R/T here on two separate occasions for a Caliper bolt replacement and a Brake Master Cylinder & Power Brake booster replacement.

I would give more stars if possible! The customer service, professionalism, and personal attention we received while working through major issues with my son s car simply amazed me! Joe worked closely with me to identify a range of problems and handled all the details around the extended warranty coverage. The repairs were completed faster than I could have imagined. The car is running beautifully and the kindness he showed this stressed out Mom is truly appreciated! We are customers for life!

Jerold and Thomas where fantastic, they shoot you straight and are some of the most honest people ive meet at a auto shop. I was in San Marcos from Dalllas for the weekend and had heavy vibrations in my steering when braking naturally i though it was my brakes and upon them looking at things it turns out all 4 of my inside side walls where separating, (something my mechanic in DFW missed just 2 weeks prior) needless to say these two probably saved my life, i doubt those tires would have gotten me back to Dallas in one piece. Thanks again guys, i wouldn t hesitate to come back anytime.

The guys got to my daughter s car very quickly after recommending a good tow truck company. They identified the problem and we had a solution quickly at a fair price.
