These guys are awesome! They painted my Cadillac Escalade hood at a fraction of cost and time as every other quote and it looks amazing!!! I'll definitely be back.

i had an extremely pleasant experience with maui motors. i had an emergency car situation, and maui was willing to break down and explain what the exact issue with my car was until i understood. he was extremely reasonable with pricing and so kind to me. i highly recommend taking your business here if you re looking for someone who will work with you and provide kind/respectful energy towards one another.

So everyone knows all the hlle-in-the-wall eateries are hands down the best, right? Well that holds true for this auto repair shop. Maui's is a no thrill get it fixed place. Everyone there is about helping out all they can. There is no waiting area and it's not the cleanest place, but better car care you are not going to find! Maya is the shop dog and is awesome too.

Never judge a repair shop by its cover. I had just come from my normal garage with an overheating engine. After a $100 test fee they tagged me with a $10,000 estimate with all sorts of extra parts in damages. I tried Maui for a second opinion since he was close and he immediately jumped into the car and the two of us drove around the block as he talked to me and listened to what was wrong with the car. Ten minutes after we returned, he found a leak in the radiator and suggested a replacement at a fraction of the cost of the first garage with no extra damage he could see. He ordered the part, I picked it up, and his man had me back on the road in a couple hours. I ve been driving for nearly two weeks and his repairs were right on, no overheating. So he s knowledgeable, honest, and his team is reliable, my only regret is I m moving out of town next month and can t take him with me!Service: Vehicle maintenance

I came here just because it was close to my house and stumbled upon a gem! Great service and reasonable prices. Maui and Walder stayed late working on my mom s car to get her on the road back home and able to make it to work in the morning. Maui was very kind and knowledgeable, and let us know what other work the car needs in the future without being pushy or upselling. We were in a pinch and Maui didn t try to take advantage of that for a second. Would definitely recommend this shop!Service: Vehicle maintenance

Maui is an amazing person. Very knowledgeable and literally best shop in town. Maui was willing to go out of his way to help me and stayed until midnight fixing my truck so I get back on the road on my to California. Highly recommend

Had to have my car battery replaced 10/21. The auto parts store where I purchased the battery installed it for me. In the process of the battery install the guy installing it hit the radiator with the battery and something snapped but tried passing it off as the hose just split. He added some hose and clamped it and told me there was nothing to worry about and his fix would last for years. 10/22 I was I in San Marcos when the fix blew apart. I went to an auto parts store in San Marcos to see about getting the proper hose. They looked at the car and told me it wasn t the hose at all. The radiator was actually broken. They helped me by getting in touch with Maui and he came to my rescue. We got my car safety to his shop where he and his team went to work. He worked into his after hours time and made sure the car was repaired and safe to be driven. I can not praise this company enough! In the future if I ever need auto repair I will travel just to take my vehicle to his shop. I am from out of town, had my young daughter with me and felt very comfortable and safe at his garage. This started off as a very frustrating experience but after all was said and done I drove away with a renewed sense of humanity. I think that Maui genuinely loves what he does and goes above and beyond for his customers. I am very grateful!!!!

My AC compressor went out and I got an estimate from another shop that said it would take 2 days to get the part. It s summer in Texas and I could not wait so I stopped at Maui s on a whim. He got the part the same day from O Reilly s and had my AC blowing colder than it did before! It came out cheaper than if I had went with the original location and Maui and Jacob were so nice and friendly! I saw the review mentioning the place was dirty... it s a mechanic shop so I m not sure what they were expecting. Looked like your typical small business mechanic shop to me. My brothers were impressed with the price and the work. I m definitely happy (and cooler) and highly recommend this place!

I had a wonderful experience. Maui was incredibly nice and helped me with my car battery. I came to the shop and my car s battery immediately stopped working when I pulled in and he charged it for me so I could drive it again. Amazing! Our daughter's car broke down. We were in a rush to get it fixed. Was told about Maui and went there out of desperation. I tell you what. I was so shocked at how friendly and helpful they all were. They had us up and running in no time. They even worked on a couple of unrelated issues for me at my request.The price was very reasonable. Truth is, a lot less than I thought it would be. Very honest and up-front business folks and a great mechanic!Thank you so much for all your help!!!

Maui is the most honest, hardworking guy I have ever had the pleasure to have dealt with! He works crazy overtime hours to get things done and is very fair about his prices. That said, there can be communication issues, because he is much more comfortable in Spanish than English. As long as you both make very clear what your needs and expectations are, this guy is an absolute gem to work with. I trust him totally.

Maui is the best mechanic in town. Whatever problem is he will fix it. Would highly recommend. They do such a good job that if things come up that where unaware to you from the beginning they will let you about additional issues and help you solve them. Those of us driving older vehicles & classics will understand how valuable this actually is. That is how you do the job right. Again I would highly recommend.

Had a tough problem on our family car while our kids were in San Marcos. Maui worked very hard, very late one night to make sure my son could get home and get back to work. This is the kind of business man we want to encourage with a great referral. Thank you Maui. Exceptional work at a very reasonable price.

Very shady with absurd pricing. Broke a piece of equipment from the vehicle and I asked for a reduced price but was told no and was responded with a "you want it fixed or not?", so it was an additional price. The overpricing is because he is paying all his apprentices and he does none of the work, at least on my vehicle. It was an all day haul as well. Women Beware! Maui Auto Motors is great machanic shop. They help me with A/C in my 2014 Chevy Silverado. The dealership and other motor shops wanted to charge me over 2000 dollars to fix my A/C. I kept looking around and I found Maui Auto Motors. They listen to my needs and blow me away with their price and service. One evening is all that took to get my A/C ice again. Thanks Guys!

Maui is the guy! I came to him out of random because my car was having trouble starting. Maui tested my car multiple times to figure out the problem until BOOM! he figured it out and took me to go buy the parts and put them in asap! while he was working on two other customers car! I would not recommend this place at all!!!! Maui the owner himself seemed so understanding at first and we agreed to one thing and that was just to test drive my car and see what the sound that my car was making also told him I didn't have no money and I would let him know head of time so we order the parts in . He tells me to go pick up my car and apparently my car was being worked on and on top of that I was so curious to why another scion TC was right across from mine while be worked on at the same time???!!! And to top it off he had the audacity to get mad at me from his mistakes and told me he didn't need my business which I understand but what a good way to show that's how your run your business

When I Called And Explained The Symptoms Of My Car, Maui Was Very Patient And Listened As I Self Diagnosed The Problem. He Said To Bring It In And He Will Check It Out For Me. I Did And As It Turned Out It Was Not As Bad As I Thought, And Nothing I Had Diagnosed. He Also Found A Problem That Soon With This Heat Could Have Left Me On The Side Of The Road And A Cost Of Another Engine. So He And David, One Of His Employees Got Right On It. With A Little Time And Their Experience I Was Back On The Road. I Was There Through The Lunch Hour And Maui And His Wife Took Me To Lunch With Them. I Am Back On The Road And I Feel Much Safer. I Do Appreciate Their Honesty And Family Style Of Caring. I Will Highly Recommend Maui Auto Motors To Whom Ever Is Looking For A Great And Honest Mechanic..Thank You Maui And Family.

Maui did an awesome job on my AC. Took him a day to figure out the problem, and it was done cheaper than the dealership was trying to charge. So happy I found him.

I had a Transmission replaced with a used transmission. It is working fine and was less expensive than the a new one. Overall I was happy with the experience.

it is a basic auto shop, with no frills. but comfy chairs & good fan. nice people & friendly dogs. working toilet. soda machine. mainly though, good work & reasonable prices. i will be going back!

Had talked im guessing the only guy that works there on the weekend was supposed to open at 9 and no one showed as we waited for an hour the guy at the tire shop said he wasnt there the two times we asked would rather spend the extra 400 hundred somewhere else where they actaully show up to work on time. On top of this the place looks like a scrap heap theres broken glass and pieces of metal in the parking lot along with other trash would not be suprised if some picks something up and gets a flat just driving through but hey at least there would be a tire shop there with employees that actually show up.
