Excellent work and amazing customer service. Everyone at Lester s is friendly and extremely helpful. They explained everything in detail to myself and my daughter and even picked her up and brought her to the shop to get her car. Definitely the best shop I ve ever used. Shout out to Cody in the body shop for being so helpful with everything. The car looks amazing.

Amazing customer service on another level! Cody made it so much less stressful in replacing my hood and even shared his experience of his own. which made for an all around great experience. Very flexible with my time constraints and accommodating. And the work was done super fast. Highly recommend. Ask for Cody! He is wonderful.

Lester s Shop Saved Me $50,000 - I am not kidding! I am Margaret Wood Retired Attorney. MY STORY - a DEALERSHIP OFFERED a discount for registration costs - after its inspection ( years ago) the service manager stated he would not issue registration certificate for less than $50,000 because my 2010 ACADIA required repairs totaling this huge sum. I had heard of Lester s Shop and its reputation for integrity and I stated I would get another opinion from Lester s Shop. The Service Manager said Lester s is honest ( implying the dealership was not) I took my SUV to Lester s who said my car was fine and I secured registration for a small fee! That is how Lester s saved me $50,000! HALLELUJAH!

A million thank you s to Mike for having such excellent customer service and being so welcoming. I came in because the protective covering under my car was hanging scraping the floor and Lester s fixed it free of charge since it wasn t really a huge problem. Definitely recommend making them your go to mechanic shop if you are college student or live in the San Marcos area. Very fast service as well.

Excellent service. Willing to come to place of work to pickup and drop off vehicle within reasonable distance from shop. Reasonable rates. Won t over inflate pricing. A mechanic you can for once trust.

Lester s Shop was amazing! Excellent customer service and maintenance. They called with a quote within 2 hours of having my car and fixed the problems same day. After having a bad experience with another shop, this made my day.

$450 to paint a scratch?Had the car for 2 weeks. Charges $110 to say " yep its a scratch " then charged $136 to paint over a scratch that wasn't even fully done.Last time I let my wife go to a shop alone. Ridiculous. They absolutely took advantage if her. Never again. Our mobile mechanic said he would have done it for $20. They didn't even fix the dent. Just paint over it and " Said yep, half a grand" then didn't even walk her to her car to show the work.

Had some body work done to may car here after it got hit. They did an excellent job doing the paint match and getting all of the dents out. You can't even tell anything happened. When I got new exhaust tips they were able to take off my old ones and get the new ones securely on for me. I will only take my car here if I need anything else done in the future and when ever a friend needs to have their car looked at I recommend Lester's shop. They are friendly and very knowledgably.

Scammed out of over $1500. I told Mike my car was throwing a catalytic converter code, he insisted it wasn t the CC. Replaced 5 other things over a 6 month period before straight up saying We probably should have started with the CC. I took my car to another shop that I ve always gone to & trust.. they said 2 parts were never even replaced. The person who recommended me to Lesters did so because he used to take his cars here when Lester owned it, clearly Mike runs it differently. I knew what was wrong with my car & should not have allowed him to replace everything BUT the CC. Dishonest people.

Lester's is highly recommended in a TxState parent group. This week, we needed help for my daughter's car. Lester's was kind enough to give us a tip to try and quick start to avoid towing. That didn't work, but we appreciated the information. We had the car towed and the shop was very nice and as my daughter said "they didn't make me feel like a stupid girl" when speaking to her. They got her car fixed quickly and for a good price. Add another parent to the list that will tout their praises and recommend whenever I can. Thank you Lester's!

Over charging for simple tasks. Wanted $150 to install a new tire. Did decent work on my roommates bumper but charged $400 for 2-3 hrs of work, when the mechanic verbally promised "$110/hr". I understand this is a body shop, but we live across the street (1-min walking distance) and wanted to support local shops, but never again.

As a college student who s car has been worked on 3 times by Lester s I highly recommend them. Mike is super nice and will always explain what s going on and different options you have!

WOW!! I m impressed by the honesty & the excellent customer service!! We don t even have this excellent service back home. My kid attends TXST & needed some work on her Jeep & I m amazed by their excellent work & prices. Tell you what when I m in need, I ll travel that far to get mine fixed by them too!! Keep up the great work!! Mike is THE BEST!!!

Finally got resolution on vw repair and they refunded some monies for work done without approval. Lester no longer owns the shop.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Lester is great, so is Mike (the office guy). I've trusted Lester for over 30 years to work on my vehicles. Even though I am in Austin I would still rather take my car to Lester for any work.

I can't recommend this place enough. My daughter goes to Texas State and her check engine light came on. Not knowing and shops in the area I took the recommendation from a TxSt Parents group on Facebook. Mike was amazing and even had someone give her a ride home when she was going to Uber. He called the next day (she brought it in very late) with what the repair was and how much it would cost. It was very reasonable. He called today to tell her it was ready and that her wipers were really bad and he replaced them. I can not say enough great things about this place and Mike. I will have piece of mind knowing if she needs any repairs she can go to Lester's and they are honest and reasonable.

We've been taking all of our cars to Lester's for 20 years now. They're up front with what you're going to need to have done. I never feel like I'm getting any sort of up-sell or runaround. If its going to take a while, they say so. Work gets done right, on time, the first time.

I didn t get any work done here but when I did visit, they were able to diagnose the problem was the back tires being warped and suggested shops. Very friendly and helpful.
