Went to Honda of San Marcos, to just take a glance. Ernesto Sanchez walked out and greeted us. Not a typical salesman pitch, not pushy. Just answered all of our questions with patience, and took the time to find a great vehicle for our family. Informed of us of the lifetime powertrain warranty with the purchase of a new vehicle. Decided on a 2024 Honda Odyssey. Ernesto made the entire process easy and simple and when we made it into the finance office to finish the paperwork the entire process took no time and they informed of us the different maintenance packages that were offered but not one time did they push anything else on us or we felt overwhelmed by what was offered. Probably the easiest/fastest process that I ve personally been through by far compared to any other dealership and they did not skip out on the customer service. Would highly recommend! Thanks Honda of San Marcos.

To be upfront, I hate buying new cars based on past experiences in the dealership. BUT... our experience with Honda of San Marcos was exceptionally good. Our salesperson Andy was super low pressure. He asked us what we were looking for and pulled the models we wanted to test drive. No attempt to upsell, no pressure with "what can we do to get you to buy today", nothing. We test drove an Accord and let him know we were also cross shopping a Camry, and he let us go without any complaints.After the VERY high pressure sales tactics at a local Toyota dealership, we ended up back with Honda. The experience through finance was the fastest I have ever experienced. We were in and out in an hour! Their finance rate was lower than our Credit Union, no dealer markup, no pressure for gap insurance, no additional fees for paint protection, and even free window tinting.They also offer a lifetime powertrain warranty, that is hard to beat. I can recommend them in good conscience to anyone.

Hands down the best Honda dealership! Friendly place to be at when buying a car the two people that helped us out was Ernesto Sanchez and Nick Reina they went above and beyond to help us get What we wanted which was a Honda pilot EXL very Beautiful car. Ernesto and Nick listened to what my husband and I were comfortable paying and they ROCK! Shout out to them!!

I'm very impressed with this dealership. It was the easiest car buying experience I've had. I highly recommend working with Larry. He was incredibly helpful and fully transparent with no pressure. He worked with me to get the trade-in value I was looking for, and to get the model/color car I wanted.

I came here and was greeted in the most respectful and professional manner possible by a man named Darius. I gave him my criteria (which was very limited due to multiple variables) he presented me with 2 great options. He encouraged me to go with the cheaper option in the manner of, don t buy a vehicle outside your means of living (car salesman get a bad stereotype and Darius shattered any notion of that stereotype). But when he brought the other car around (2017 Honda Civic Si, manual transmission) I fell in love with the car. Immediately. He was very straight up, put off the vibes of a genuine good family man of faith. He came back with a great price (no beating around the bush with this gentleman) and we purchased the vehicle. The car was such a new trade in that the service department hadn t had a chance to go through the vehicle yet. That being said I had to wait a few days to pick the vehicle up. The morning that I was going to pick it up, he communicated to me that it would take a little longer than anticipated. I expressed to him that I was selling my old car that day and that I was going to be without transportation. Later that same day he texted me and said, it s ready! . So I had to send my mother to pick it up because I was at work and during the detailing process the check engine light came on for emissions. So he still made it possible for me to take the car home that day. He also made it so I a was able to bring the car back for the service department to check it out (when it was a convenient time conducive with my schedule. They discovered that it was a sensor and ordered the part so I could come back to have it installed, again at a time convenient for me. Ultimately the communication from Darius was beyond impressive, he definitely surpassed my expectations to say the least. Ultimately if you want an excellent buying experience I highly recommend going with Darius he s the very front desk when you walk in, I can certainly see why. Thank you again for the great experience and professionalism from you Darius. Stay blessed and keep up the good work Darius-

First visit to this place. Had an appt. for an oil change on my vehicle. I was greeted by Chris. He did let me know that they were short staffed and that it may take up to two hours. I'm glad that he was honest with me. It took less than an hour. So glad the visit went well. Will definitely be back.

Enjoyed working with Kenneth Curtis, he was very professional and took care of all our questions/concerns. BUT the financial manager was short to the point which I think because we didn't buy any services (that where money made) which made me and my husband uncomfortable.

Stay away from this location, I came to change the engine oil , but they told me me you need to change transmission oil, coolant service, and brake service. However, the radiator has been changed by honda Howdy dealer three days ago, and brakes has been changed a week ago. Also, the transmission has been serviced a month ago by Honda dealer in Houston. I have ran inspections in two other dealers they assured to me It is recently serviced. Plus they took off the cabinet filter and lift the dirt on the car seats.

Service consultant Gavin Hernandez was extremely helpful and honest. I had a frustrating situation with my car, and he was honest and helped me understand what I needed and didn't need yet. I highly recommend asking for Gavin.

Marco and his team made this purchase a dream! I had to fly from out of state to see their lot and they helped me the whole way. I had the best experience. With his knowledge and understanding this was incomparable to any other car buying experience I have had. I would highly recommended buying your next vehicle here. I bought a 2015 Toyota Tacoma from Alex and Larry, at Honda of San Marcos, about two weeks ago and it has been one of the best car buying decisions I have ever made. The vehicle is flawless, and I've already put 3k miles on it, having taken it to California on a road trip to Santa Cruz. This truck has been through the forests of sequoia, and the deserts of Tuscon, all without any mechanical trouble. I am skeptical of dealerships, just like many potential buyers, but Honda of San Marcos made the purchase relatively painless. Just know that you need to negotiate and understand that you can walk away anytime, there will be another car for you out there. Many people prefer carmax or carvana, where the price is set, but I would argue that if you do your research, and understand the value of the car you would like to purchase, buying from a dealership can be a win-win, and you can learn a valuable lesson on negotiating, which can be used the next time you interview for a job, or ask for a raise. Finally, for my piece of mind, the folks at Honda of San Marcos let me take the truck to my mechanic for an inspection before the sale was final. You should insist on this if buying a used car, no matter where you purchase the vehicle.

Tay is the guy you want to see. We called in inquiring on a vehicle listened online. He listened and understood what our challenge was. Instead of just trying to get us there on the lot he provided us with everything we needed to feel comfortable with our purchase. Buying online is only tough when the sales consultant doesn t demonstrate good listening skills. Most lots would sell more cars online if they would just listen in and provide the buyer with pictures requested and videos.

I am a customer for life Best place to take and buy your car/cars! I ve been going to Honda of San Marcos for years and it because of their employees, integrity, and top notch service. I too work in retail and know how hard it is to find quality employees but they got it right! Dustin ( service manger), David ( sales rep) and Monte to name a few are what customer service is all about! They know me by name, ensure my car/cars are taken care of, give me honest advice, professional, friendly and do what s right. I have recommended them to my parents ( who did buy a car there too) and friends because of the consistent, honest and knowledgeable experience every time!

Absolutely great experience at Honda of San Marcos. Have purchased 6 vehicles from here all with their #1 salesman Larry Reeves. Have never had an issue here, if you re in the market for a new Honda I definitely would recommend coming here and asking for Larry absolute blast to work with, funny character and not a push over. Larry has been our go to since we met him and he has never disappointed me, my mom or my sister who have all purchased with him highly recommend

Horrible place to get your car worked on tech rushed through our van and marked everything on my van 100% good Togo when it was not would not recommend this service center to anyone!!!!!!!! If I could give no stars I would. Go to any other honda but this one waste of time and money

I recently visited Honda of San Marcos, and I have to say, I was blown away by the level of customer service I received. From the moment I walked through the door, the staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They took the time to listen to my concerns, explain my options, and ensure that I was completely satisfied with my visit.In addition to their outstanding customer service, I was also impressed by the cleanliness of the dealership. The waiting area was bright and clean, and the restrooms were tidy and smelled great. It's clear that the dealership takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for its customers.Finally, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly my car was serviced. I had expected to wait several hours, but the dealership was able to complete the work in almost no time. Not only was the work done quickly, but it was also done correctly, and I haven't had any issues since.Overall, I would highly recommend Honda San Marcos to anyone in need of Honda service or repairs. Ask for Monty or Dusty, they helped me during my visit and are absolutely outstanding. I will definitely be returning in the future for all of my Honda needs.

Purchased a used car and all 3 visits we were rushed to the point of almost not buying from this facility. They even called us to see if we were on our way to sign papers. It was a holiday weekend, I will give them that, however, we had already given them the down payment in cash. We were also finalizing the purchase with cash. We were informed if we didn't get there within 15 minutes that they would close all if the gates and we would have to wait an additional 3 days to pick up our vehicle. Some people work until 5 pm and don't live around the corner. We were making a 40 mile one way Trip. We also went the second day to finalize paperwork and pick up our carWe had been asked to fax my daughter's insurance and driver's license for the paperwork. So, when we made the 80 mile round trip and told she had to be there, we were flabbergasted. How difficult would it have been t let us know ahead of time? The only reason they wanted her information was so they could speed the paperwork. So....we made yet another trip to the dealership on Thanksgiving Eve. When we arrived they started trying to make us sign paperwork without explanations or the ability to go over the legal work without reading the fine print. I do not recommend this dealership and will not be returning, even though we are in the market for another NEW VEHICLE THIS TIME, WITHIN THE NEXT MONTH.I would like to add to this review. We had to call Honda because we NEVER received our car tags. Our temporary license was expiring the next day. We finally reached them and we received the tag with the WRONG NAME. It said Mark Elizabeth. We contacted them again and they over-nighted a new license and will change the name. We received another temporary license until the problem is fixed. This is what I was trying to express in the above comments. We were so rushed, they couldn't get the information right. We love the car so far, but it has been a whole lot of screw ups and problems (a nightmare) with the dealer and actual salesman. Please let me know if this review is helpful.

I bought a Honda CR-V sport L, October 3, and was extremely pleased with the car and the entire experience of buying the vehicle. I want to especially mention the salesperson who took me through the entire process: Radar was exceptional in helping me pick out the vehicle, the options, and all the associated paperwork. While this vehicle was my first Honda and first SUV; I am glad I purchased this vehicle. I strongly recommend Radar and this dealership to anyone.

If you're shopping for a Honda anywhere in south-central side of Texas, I would highly recommend making the trip down to this dealership. I was originally planning on getting a car from a local Austin Honda dealership, but found that the sales reps were kind of lousy in comparison to the San Marcos location. The sales rep Matt Wood was extremely knowledgeable and answered any precise question I had with the car I was interested in. He was also great for keeping me in contact and reaching an eventual negotiation.5/5 would recommend to family and friendsAs a quick addition to the end of the review, I would also like to mention that out of all the dealerships I went to, the San Marcos location had the best warranties for drivetrain that I was able to find anywhere else.

Great service and customer service, always take my grandpa s car there for service when he asks me to. They are always attentive and straight to the point which saves time and transparency.I might consider going there to purchase a car in the near future I had a chance to speak with Ernesto and he was very helpful and stated many different options that fits what I m leaning towards.Thank y all for your hard work.

It shouldn't take 2 hours for an oil change with an appointment, but it did. We should have gotten the new tires that were ordered 5 days prior to the appointment, but we didn't. We thought that going to a smaller Honda dealer would make for a better and faster service experience, but it didn't. Very disappointed with our experience at San Marcos Honda!
