Austin Hwy location: I ve been getting oil changes here for a few years now. They ve always had great customer service and the guys are seemingly honest, very polite, and professional. This last time I went, however, the guys overfilled my oil by about 2 quarts and it ended up overflowing while driving and made my car run super rough on my way home. They also spilled coolant all over the under hood area due to overfilling. They said they cleaned it up, but I had a mechanic pick up my car the next day and he took photos (attached). I already needed a tune up, so it was running a little rough due to a spark plug replacement due. Anyway, I realize that my car was not in its tip top shape before I brought it to them, but the mechanic said that the oil definitely made it run much harder. I don t want anyone to be in trouble because of this, I really love taking my car there. I just think it should be addressed.

This was my first time using Take 5 and it was a great experience. The 3 employees working when my car was serviced couldn't have been nicer and seemed to enjoy their jobs. It was a nice change. It seems like 9 out of 10 places you walk in, it's like your bothering them. They don't want to work or even be there.

Friendly service! Explained that my engine filter needed to be cleaned, because my car has been burning a lot of oil. Staff explained everything and gave complimentary water and topped off my fluids! I recommend their service!

The employees are super helpful. I told them my windshield wipers (purchased there) were not working well anymore and he looked it up and saw they were still under warranty and replaced them. I also commented that I had been going to gas stations to clean my windshield and two of them immediately started cleaning my windshield. Great customer service!

Best place for an oil change! These guys are always quick and ready to meet all you basic car needs. As corny as it sounds I have piece of mind when I go to take 5 because they always check all my basics even and even though I sometimes opt out of some of their services they always check and let me know so I know. These guys/grls are great, so go pay them a visit and get your car serviced. You won t be disappointed.

I wasn't able to receive an oil change on my 2023 Jeep Renegade because the location didn't have the supplies needed. The guys were very helpful and nice though. I've taken 1 of my other vechles there, no issues.

I always take my vehicles to Take 5 for oil changes and inspections, but this was by far the most professional experience I ve had with one. They were fast, thorough, and detail oriented. They re-filled my tires, made sure to reset my maintenance light, showed me my cabin air filter, asked me about my windshield wipers, and let me know about an issue that I should have looked into. I heard constant communication among the team members and team leads were setting the example of excellent work. This will definitely be the only Take 5 I will trust my cars to in the future.

I came to this TAKE5 because of the high reviews on Google.Although, the two or three guys that were working were nice and respectfulI was let down. It was at the end of the day so maybe they were short on help but I was put in bay waited for 20 minutes. Watched other cars that pulled up after me get service before me, then no tire pressure check, didn t see fluids topped off. They did show me the oil on dipstick. So, had to go somewhere else and pay for air in tires.From what I can tell they DID NOT destroy my splash shield which I do appreciate. A lot of places destroy it and when driving down the road you can hear it flapping or drag the road. So I m grateful that they seemed to have done it right( although I have not checked to see if it is still there. LOL)So, to wrap up for all of these reasons I score three stars

Had state inspection done and was smooth. They made sure to focus on the inspection and not try to sell you filters,wipers, oil etc. like jiffy lube does. I will definitely go back if I need anything else.

While my experience was great, my sister was in line next to me and it was an awful experience. They told her her car would only take Full Synthetic oil (which is not true). Then they told her the Full Synthetic Oil change was good for 7k miles and stuck a sticker on the windshield stating to return in 3k miles for an oil change. They kept pressuring her to change the air filter and Cabin Air filter for even more money. Both only had 5k miles and were not dirty. Bottom line is, know what you need before you go and don't let them pressure you into what you don't need.

The team here has always been attentive, diligent, and fast. They replaced my wipers under warranty and addressed another issue I wasn t even aware of during my recent visit. Very good service

No inspector on Saturday.I rolled up on Monday and without even looking the greeter said my brakes wouldn't pass due to squeaking. I said there's nothing wrong with my brakes and proceeded to move back and forth to show there was no squeaking and that the parking brake holds. I didn't come there to argue.So, the car eventually passed and I will find another location to use.

This is the most thorough Take 5 I ve been to. I was greeted with a cold water bottle and kept informed of all findings and recommendations throughout the oil change without high pressure sales tactics. Every bay was full this holiday weekend with at least another car waiting in each bay too. They washed my windshield and aired my tires to the proper psi- something that I never recall being offered in my previous visits at other locations. My technicians attention to detail in offering to throw away the old reminder sticker and backing for the new one as well as attempt the cabin filter replacement proved excellent customer service.I will definitely be returning to the Take 5 off Harry Wurzbach and Austin highway from now on!

The guys were great. My car is not in the system yet, but they did a great job figuring out what oil I needed and then we had a good laugh figuring out how to reset my oil life. Will definitely be back!

Loved the service I received there recently. I usually do my own oil changes, and I'll probably continue to do my own; but if I'm ever in a jam, Take 5 will without a doubt be my go-to spot. They were amazing from start to finish! 10/10 would recommend

This was my first time at this location. It s says 5 mins, but I waited more then 45 minutes just to get an oil change. They had 5 staff, which 3 were just standing around doing nothing it looked like they were waiting for instructions. They also had a guy cleaning the front windows, but it appeared that this guy had no energy, it took him over 3 mins just to clean the front window. During the time that I had been waiting (over 45 mins) the company lost money because customers got tried of waiting and left. Your company has a VERY poor process of getting the customers in and out. They also lost track of who came in first which caused an argument among the staff and cause us to wait even more. Once it was my turn the service man that took care of me was good, but they do need to get a better process in assisting the customers when they firstarrive.

Good, quick, and friendly customer service. Only reason I don't give 5 stars is because they gave me a $10 off coupon and my brother, who went to another Take 5 on the same day, got a $25 off coupon. Maybe I'm being petty, but gotta try to save as much money as one can these days. Overall, they're still cheaper than most places in San Antonio with great service. I will definitely go back.

I visited Take 5 for my vehicle state inspection. The techs were very courteous and professional. They offered to check my oil filter which I declined and advised I would return at a later date for an oil change. I am very satisfied with the service I received and will return in a couple of weeks for my oil change.

Always great service here with the fellas. I have a camper van and they always take care of me when I'm in town. They check everything and let you know if they see any issues with the systems.

I went on a fairly busy day but the gentlemen at the shop were extremely quick to acknowledge me, get me put in a line, and when the oil change came, they were done before I realized they even started. 10/10 for me and my car

Fernando was very helpful when I came in to the store today. Bryce also was helpful when I called this morning. I have had the pleasure to be assisted by many of the employees at this Austin Hwy location. I have to mention Christian Montalvo the store manager, he is an asset to Discount Tire! His good character permeates this store.

When putting up my hood, they snapped the hinge that holds the hood rod in place. I thought I heard something but he didn t say a word. I went later that day to look at my fluids and found it broken. Things happen, but to not even tell me is inexcusable.

What a Great experience, I have been to one that is closer to where I live; but this time I was in a hurry and searched nearest and I was sent here. I will visit this location from now on! Fast! Efficient and Friendly. I just didn t get my water lol

Everyone was exceptionally nice and so very helpful. However, when I was driving home on the freeway, I had to do an emergancy pull over. The hood of my car was not shut correctly it had been lef ajar. This was a very dangerous situation I was put into. I very much understand it was an accident, but it should be something that before vehicles leave your premises, this should be one of the top things you require your emplyees to care of correctly.Thank you for your time.

I live by sea world and drive across down to get my cars oil changed. No, matter what. I Always get excellent customer service. YOU KNOW NOW A DAYS IT IS VERY HARD TO FIND. I WILL RATHER DRIVE ACROSS TOWN DUE TO THAT REASON. AROUND HERE IS HARD TO FIND. THANK YOU TO THE YOUNG LADY WHO HELPED ME ON SUNDAY.
