Frank Olveda is a long time reliable fixture serving the north east San Antonio area auto/truck needs. The knowledge base and performance provided at his newer location 11402 Perrin Beitel is stellar.I ve had his assist from diagnostics, repair quotes to appraisal for value of the service intended. No guessing ar this shop as he handles most all issues. A family run business is the place to go to- I ve been a resident for 50 years in this neighborhood so the qualifications given here are indisputable.

Awesome service!! I had major issues with my vehicle took it to cowboys garage and they gave me their recommendation on what needed to be repaired and offered me a fair rate then made the repairs in a very timely manner.. I am super satisfied with my service and will definitely be a long-time customer!

I stopped by today to get a quote on replacing my car battery due to it being in a place where I couldn't replace it myself. Jesse was very welcoming, honest, and very knowledgeable. He kept me well informed with the status of my car. I was given a reasonable quote and my car was fixed in an hour. They did a thorough diagnostic on my car to make sure there was nothing else wrong with my car. Super satisfied.

I have to say this was one of the most pleasant mechanic shops I have been to. I bought a car from a used car lot and it was having a lot of issues. I went to cowboys and the girls inside were very helpful and knowledgeable and explained everything to me so that I could understand what was going on with the car. My car is working great! I will be coming back if I have anymore issues

Cowboy Garage is well worth your visit to get all your car needs done. Honest, professional mechanic who has mastered his skills on repairing cars. Highly recommend sending your wife, sister or girlfriend there for all their mechanic repairs. Office manager, Claudia will walk them through the process of understanding all the mechanical issues that may arise. Cowboy Garage is my Go To stop for all my automotive needs!

I highly recommend cowboys garage. Victor is up front around needed repairs. He represents pros and cons for your vehicles repair in an objective manner. He does not try to sway your decision one way or the other for profit. He informs you and let s you make your own decision. He s performed repairs on all my vehicles. Not honest. Does not follow through. Does not care about you as a customer. Will not stand behind what they sell.It pains me to leave such a review, but given the financial implications of purchasing a vehicle from Claudia Castro at Cowboy Garage I am left with no choice but to let everyone know my about experience.I paid 8900 for this car and I am now at up to 13,000 and have not been able to enjoy the vehicle.I feel there was an intentional misrepresentation about the mechanical soundness of the vehicleI purchased a vehicle from Cowboy garage and automotive. I had the car less than 2 weeks, before I was forced to park it in my garage with SERIOUS ENGINE trouble. It has been on jacks since then, I am posting this on April 30th nearly a month later and i'm assuming it will be atleast another month and a few thousand dollars before I can get it back on the road...When I visited, I did all my due diligence. I drove it, I asked every question I could think of and then some. I also specifically asked about a hiccup that occurred at a stop light and was told plainly and directly by Victor (the husband and mechanic) that it was nothing. Given his proclaimed tenure I didn't question it.I did more research and even brought my mechanic to take a peak. He agreed that all the outside looked decent for a car of this age, but he was concerned that I verify the hiccup I had mentioned to him.I specifically asked Victor if there was anything wrong with this car on more than one occasion. I was told "no" each time. I was also told that they purchased this car from CarMax and they go through a more thorough inspection so i shouldn't worry.I asked for both the Carfax and the CarMax report, was told they would provide them at the time of sale and was never provided with those pieces of information. Even after contacting them about the situation and asking again those documents were still not produced.When I decided to the purchase the car I was quite happy about the situation (at that time), but I must say I felt like a burden to them the whole time.I asked Victor as Claudia was getting the paperwork ready if anything happened, would he be willing to take care of me. He said "yes"Meaning can I bring it back for work at his shop.Here is what happened. On Saturday April the 18th I drove the car to work. It had been intermittent with the hiccup but not consistent. When I got in the car to go home, I turned on the car and after about 30 seconds of it sitting in the parking spot warming up, the hiccup began and continued, a few more moments in and the car started knocking heavily.April 20th I messaged the shop regarding the situation. I was told "as far as the car having mechanical problems I can't help you with that...but we do have some places we can recommend you to for repairs."This is what ultimately lead to this review. I understand things happen, but I was met with no care or consideration. I have been made to feel like a burden after spending nearly 9 thousand dollars.Nine thousand dollars I expect to have a vehicle that runs for more than 2 weeks before the entire engine has to come out for MAJOR repairs. I was made to believe that I was buying a sound vehicle.They stopped messaging after telling me there was nothing they would do, they never provided the carfax or carmax information, they totally wrote me off.This is terrible business practice, there was NO effort at all exerted to assist me in the situation.They didn't even give me the recommendations that they said they know.The car was sold under your care, Cowboy Garage and something major happened from that hiccup, you gave me your word that everything was sound and even went so far as to say you'd help me should anything arise, you have not.I would suggest all who read this review to take great care when considering doing business with this shop. I personally would suggest you abstain from all business dealings with Cowboy Garage.Giving consideration to "Things happen" I must say the lack of effort and care on the part of this shop was deplorable.

Have used them several times for two different vehicles. Very honest about problems, parts, and labor costs. Labor prices might be a little high, but if you have ever tried to work on these newer cars where there is no room to put your hand under the hood, you will understand what a pain in the !$$#! it is to work on these vehicles and the effort required to just change simple things like spark plugs.

I ve gone to cowboys garage multiple times and they have amazing customer service and i ve had great experiences with their business . It is family owned and ran . I trust my car with them and do recommend this business for any auto repairs you may need .

It's just a mom and pop store with one mechanic working on your car from what I saw. It didn't seem any cheaper than anywhere else.
