I took my 2013 equinox to Shorty's automotive. It turns out I needed a new motor he kept me updated, ordered the motor, and had it within seven days.the car was rolling and an engine light came on I took it back to shorty's the next day he had it ready to go told me I had a bad sensor and didn't charge me to repair it my equinox had 150,000 miles on it. Turns out there's a class action lawsuit on it for bad rings. The car is now running and sounds like a sewing machine going down the street. I will and do recommend shorty to all my friends and family. Best mechanic I have ever met in 61 years. Shorty should fall under one of San Antonio's top mechanics. I took my 2019 250 express to Shorty, and he fixed it for free with some simple advice he hooked up the computer diagnostics and said run better fule. He's a good man.

I was hasty in my first review of Shorty's. I felt good about dropping off my car, and it was clear he was a really hardworking and honest mechanic. When it came time to pick up my car I started to feel deceived. Among other services, I had paid for a diagnostic and he told me some things I wasn't expecting to hear and he didn't tell me some things I was expecting to hear. I left a review and quickly got a call from Shorty apologizing for the miscommunication and explaining the situation. He offered me a complete refund, and I told him I just wanted a refund for the diagnostic. We met up, talked it out, and he gave me the refund. I'm truly humbled.To anyone that needs a mechanic, go to Shortys. And if you're like me and have a problem, don't assume the worst - just give him a call - hes an honest guy that wants to do quality work.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection

Shorty's was highly recommended by a friend. We called him and he was able to take our car in the same day to check out what was wrong with it. Our heating and cooling system was not working properly and he was able to fix it. Everything that he did to our vehicle was done professionally. He gave us a quote of the price for the work that was going to be done and the price was very affordable. If you're looking for a great mechanic Shorty is your man! Shorty is the best. He is the only mechanic I will allow to work on my vehicles. He's done everything from fixing my AC, finding me tires for my car(installation and alignment), to bringing my truck back from the dead. He's honest and that's his best quality. He worked on my truck till he figured out what the problem was and didn't even wanna charge me for the labor. If u want an honest, dependable, and qualified mechanic, then Shorty is the man to call!

Shorty's was very easy to work with and was very honest with their work. I had a very large engine oil leak problem and they were able to solve the problem in a few days and they had very honest and good pricing. I can wholeheartedly say, that my experience here at Shorty's was the BEST experience I ever had with a mechanic shop. Alejandro(owner) Is honest, diligent, and professional. Before he even began to work on my vehicle, he called me to thoroughly run by the details of the repairs needed (i.e. part prices and labor costs), and he and his associates are FAST. When I arrived Alejandro himself showed me exactly what he fixed in detail with my vehicle and made some suggestions for future repairs. Thank you very for your help guys. Shorty is a great,knowledgeable,honest, fair mechanic. He worked on my 2015 Kia Cadenza Timing chain replacement... plus other extras that the engine required. Results: My car runs more smoothly with quicker exceleration. I highly recommend his services with any car and make. I found a mechanic for all my time. The owner of this shop is amazing! He is honest, works fast, and is very reliable! I took my Lexus 2003 gs 300 to North Star Lexus to get a quote on fixing the hydraulic power booster replaced. They quoted me $4,500 to repair! Shorty did it for $1,200 and fixed the acceleration problem as well! He is the type of person you would feel comfortable sending your daughter to get her car fixed and NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING! HE IS TRULY AN A+ MECHANIC!

Shorty Automotive fixed my truck & did An amazing job on my 1994 Ford F-150 5.8 l xlt he got the job done I was done putting money into it after going to ammco transmission & total car care on west ave & 410 being out 3600 for a faulty transmission job & Costly diagnostic those guys didn t even honor the warranty they said came with the high price of 3600 Instead their rep insisted that my motor was going out & I needed another diagnostic I left and while after I found shortys automotive & couple days later he fixed my truck no problem found out what was wrong with it & got my tires burning rubber. Dispite It Shifting when it wants & having a hard down shift & up shift he fixed the original problem & saved all the theatrics didn t waste my time & got it running better then it did. It was a fuel pump & new distributor he got the job done plane & simple he fixed my truck. Got into Shorty s shop on a Friday night with an emergency. He was able to have my alternator fixed by Saturday afternoon.Honest and friendly mechanic. I will bring my vehicles here in the future.Thank you Shorty!

After visiting very bad and abusive mechanics, with Shorty it was the opposite. We changed the engine and it went further. Excellent, he is very fair in his prices and super honest. You can notice the trust and quality not only in the service but also as a person. He has already become my basic mechanic.Despues de visitar mec�nicos muy malos y abusivos, con Shorty fue todo lo contrario. Hicimos un cambio de motor y fue mas all�.
