Sam is awesome.I had a Toyota Camry Hybrid 2014 wasn t started, some mechanics said it s because of the Key I mad a new key for it and pay $250 but it didn t start then I towed my car to Sam he checked it, there was some sensor it was locked he bypassed that in 30 minutes and my car was ready for driving.I love his attitude he is humble, honest and professional I will recommend him for all Hybrid owner.Thanks Sam

I have taken my car many times with Sam, and I can t thank him enough for all that he has done. He genuinely cares about your car and what he does, he will always give you the best advice on what to do with your car and also always recommends where to find the best quality pieces for you car so it lasts long. He always goes the extra mile with his services, showing he truly cares about the customer. Sam's Auto works on hybrid cars. For 9 years , Sam has been the mechanic for two of my cars. I purchased a rebuilt hybrid prius from him about 7 years ago and it is still running great. Zero issues. Throughout the years he has always given me the lowest estimates and I am more than satisfied with the service and work performed. I plan to buy another car from him for my child. After 9 years, I am 100% confident in my choice to buy it from Sam's Auto, and I don't feel it is necessary to shop around. I highly recommend Sam's Auto

Sam really helped me on a gas leak in my Toyota Prius Gen 2. I brought it to two mechanics and they both couldn t fix it. Sam found the problem within an hour and worked all day and into the night to fix my car because I was moving within 4 days. This guy really knows his stuff when it comes to hybrids

Sam is the BEST! I am currently a college student and was struggling to find somewhere to fix my car at a reasonable price especially with my car being hybrid. Sam did an amazing job of fixing my car and communicating with me about what is exactly wrong with the car. He was honest, respectful and very professional. I was surprised to see Sam s google reviews and thought maybe he incentivized customers to leave a review. I was wrong, Sam never even mentioned it and all the reviews I read were accurate.I was quoted by North Park Toyota over $2,400, but Sam did the same job for 1/3rd of the price. Honest guy and went beyond the scope of work. I picked up my car and the engine bay had been cleaned, a pleasant surprise.Don t hesitate to visit Sam with your hybrid needs.2010 Toyota Prius w/ 195k miles

After a disheartening experience at Toyota Cavendar Service Center, where they quoted an exorbitant $5,000 for what they deemed a battery replacement, I was at my wit's end. Their approach raised red flags and painted a clear picture of a lack of transparency. Eager for a second opinion and reluctant to dig into my savings based on a potentially dishonest assessment, I turned to the internet for help.Fortuitously, a Reddit post led me to Sam, a local hybrid specialist. As soon as I described the issue, Sam sprang into action. It was evident he had a genuine passion for his work, coupled with a deep understanding of hybrid vehicles. The BEST service you can get!! Sam deserves a lot more credit than what can be put into words in a review. He's honest, trustworthy, and experienced!! I found Sam (like some of you may be doing) through his Google reviews.My 2007 Prius red triangle came on suddenly while I was leaving work and within 2 minutes, I was unable to drive my car. After I turned it off and back on, I was able to drive it to North Park Toyota on 410. Long story short, they wanted to charge $1200 to fix an "issue." They also needed to order a part. I looked up local Hybrid shops and found Sam with over 180+ 5 Star reviews. I called Sam, he said he had the part and would charge less than half if that was the issue (even on the phone he knew that "issue" shouldn't be what cause my car to stop driving).I picked up my car from North Park and risked driving it to Sam's. With his expertise, he drove the car, listened to how the car drove all while monitoring the computer and explained possible issues to me while I was in the car with him. He went above and beyond caring and addressing the issue.He was able to solve the issue, advise me on further improving my car, charged me under $500, and till this day (about 5 months later) my car is running without any issues!!I'll continue to go to Sam's until he retires (and cry when he does). Called one late evening to get price on getting my control arm done. He asked me if I could take it in for him to check if in fact it was the control arm. Did not charge me to check it and gave me advice on where to get the parts. Once I got the parts he was able to squeeze me in after work and did the job plus replaced cv axle and a lower control arm last minute. Great guy, great service, and great information. He warranties his work and is always helpful. All work done for less than $400Sam specializes in Electric cars and gives those a priority. He is always busy with work, it is best to call and ask if he can work on your car or schedule a day to take it. No cars will be left overnight due to safety and liability.Again, this is the place to take electric cars if anyone is looking for a great mechanic but I appreciate that he took time to check my car, test drive it and work on it.

SAMS auto repair is the best place to get your hybrid fixed at, the fact Sam is always honest and gets the cars fixed quickly and I mean quickly. These guys are absolutely amazing 10 out of 10 the best auto repair shop I have ever been to. They literally saved my car from being destroyed many times. Sam is truly an amazing and wonderful man.

Sam did a terrific job on the engine tuneup of my 2010 Toyota Prius - for a fraction of what the dealership was charging! He was very informative and generous. He explained in detail everything he did to the car, which I appreciated. I had a dead battery and he could have sold one to me - but he refused. Since I m from out of town, he insisted I find a company that offered warranty in my home town. He even gave me a free oil change, an extra filter, and a car charger! I wish I could find a mechanic as kind, helpful, and honest as Sam in my hometown. Highly recommend for hybrid repairsService: Auto engine tuning

I was in San Antonio for a conference this week and my 2013 Prius started acting up on the 3-hour drive. Idling wildly and I thought it might be transmission related. I found Sam s shop on google maps with impeccable reviews, so I decided to take my car the next day and see if something could be done. Let me tell you, Sam knows what he s doing. He completed a full tune up within a day, and spent a significant amount of time with me explaining what he did, parts he replaced, and what I need to do to keep it clean and properly maintained. I drove the car home today, and not only is the idling fixed, I kid you not, gas mileage went from 38 to 48 mpg. Amazing. So thankful I found this guy at the right time, and for others leaving great reviews. He did a fantastic job for me, and knowing that I was not in the best position to negotiate he was honest, extremely helpful, and worked hard to fix the problem. One of the best customer service experiences ever for me.

I first met Sam in 2019 as my Hybrid Prius was having problems. Sam is so knowledgeable about the car and was able to pinpoint that I needed a battery replacement. He saved me thousands of dollars by providing a great deal on his services. Sam did an outstanding job! First of all I am very skeptical about any electrical work but Sam here at Sam's Auto Repair made sure that he fixed exactly what was needed. What did he fix for me? He fixed the combination meter in my 07' and its been weeks later and I have had 0 issues with his work! Will I recommend anyone to Sam? yes! Sam provided all around information on my 07 Prius just to make sure I felt like I was working with someone knowledgably in Hybrid Vehicles! I took my Prius 2015 with a check engine light on. He found the water pump it was broken, and replace it in just few hours plus the oil change.Much cheaper and faster than in the Toyota service which it was going to take 7 to 10 days just to get the parts.We need more honest people like Sam in our city.

Sam is great! I had decided to go to him after reading other people s Google Reviews. My Prius had flashed a code that prompted me to call the dealership where they told me I had to replace the ABS Actuator and quoted me upwards of $3k. Sam flushed and cleaned the engine and replaced my rear brakes and the pressure on the abs pump has normalized saving me from having to replace it for the considerable future.He was very thorough, explained everything to me, and saved me a lot of money on an unnecessary repair. He also left my engine sparkling clean. WOW! This is the place to take your hybrid. I was told by the toyota dealer my 2012 Prius C needed a new hybrid battery pack and would charge 4000 dollars to replace it.We found Sam's thank goodness. Yesterday he spent an hour with my daughter and I showing us how to replace crucial filters that apparently had never been replaced although the dealer said they had. He would not take a penny.We replaced the filters and the check hybrid battery light went off! Sam did tell us that if that did not work the battery would need replacement and his charge would be 1200 dollars.I cannot recommend this place enough! The most knowledgeable and generous mechanic I have ever dealt with. Sam goes above and beyond because he truly loves cars, cares about his customers, and just wants to take care of people.A year ago, my 2008 Prius battery started acting up and was in need of replacing. After hours of researching and calling around to get quotes, nobody even came within $2500 of Sam s. Not only did Sam replace the battery but he also did extra maintainence to extend the life of the car and fixed my dashboard without charging.He also recommended that I get my water pump converter replaced in a few months because he could tell it would need to be replaced. He told me that if I bought the part, he would replace it for free. A year later and I finally get around to buying the part. Without hesitation Sam agreed to replace it for free even though this was communicated over a year ago. On the way to the shop, my check engine light comes on and guess what the problem was??? The water pump converter needed replaced just as he told me. I tried to give him money but he insisted that he just wanted to help. Truly thankful for such a skilled and kind hybrid mechanic. This is my very first review for a mechanic shop. I am not a fan of writing reviews but because Sam has shown me his quality work and service I am propelled to write one.The first, the most foremost ,and the most important value in my life is, honesty.Sam upholds that value: honesty.He has a wealth of knowledge about cars and I have no knowledge about cars but he does not take advantage of that. He delivers timely service. The other big branded auto shop's charged me more than $100 each visit for little issues. Even an air filter change was $45! When I could have bought the $15 air filter myself and install it on my own. He is not that kind of mechanic that purposely break things in your car so that you can keep coming back to get it fixed. Or a mechanic that tries to tell you that there is more problem than there already is. I am lucky to find a great mechanic. I am now a loyal customer.
