Rhine West offered a great price for all the parts that my car needed. It was also completed weeks earlier than my husband and I had anticipated. They even went and found a cosmetic piece I had been looking for and installed it for a great price. We are already scheduling more service to be completed by them. Pulled into town and my M3 was having some serious misfiring issues. They were able to thoroughly diagnose and repair it on the same day thankfully. They also discovered a handful of other issues that might become problems in the future, however were very honest and not pushy in order to upsell on those jobs. Very professional, reasonably priced and the obvious choice you have a BMW!

UPDATED FOLLOWING SERVICE VISIT: I finally the right car and took it in for service. The folks at Rhine West continued to be helpful, communicative, and professional. Juan was patient with my questions, and the work performed was top quality. There was an issue that they were not able to address, but as it regarded aftermarket, performance components they were upfront about whether they would be able to attempt working on it. They won't install customer purchased parts, but are also upfront about that as well. All in all, a good experience.ORIGINAL REVIEW: This review is based on interactions with staff, not on service (which I haven't have there yet). I called Rhine West and spoke to Jon with questions regarding an older M Roadster I was looking to buy. He was really helpful and spent a fair amount of time graciously answering my questions. Based on his attitude and knowledge, if I ever find the right M, Rhine West will be the first shop I take it to for local service.

This repairshop is staffed by highly qualified and certified mechanics. My brother, Dr Magoon, has been taking his vehicles there for years, including his Mercedes, BMW, Land Rover, my Mini Cooper and his GMC truck. The repairs are always completed on time and to the specs of the cars' manufacturers! The employees and owner are extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. I will always take my car to Rhine West from now on!!!

I had some major issues with my X3 and took it to Rhine West, it was something that was under recall and they had the car sent to BMW and when BMW kept giving me the run around trying to charge me for things that didn t need to be charged for. Rhine West went above and beyond contacting BMW and keeping in contact with me about these issues and pointing me in the right direction as far as what was actually needed and price points. It was a process and they were patient and thorough. All in all Rhine West saves me thousands of dollars and has a loyal customer in me and my family for life.

Spent over $6000k getting transmission repaired brought car in for a battery and was charged for over $450 for battery installation. Repair shop performed unauthorized work of $200 tried to reason with David and was totally disrespected. Thought I had found a good BMW repair shop but cannot recommend after treatment I received today.Services: Transmission, Engine repairServices: Transmission, Engine repair

Brought our 528i because of a tranmission problem. We were treated exceptionally well, worked on the veh until the problem was corrected and explained what they did to it as it progressed giving up updates as they went along. They were very honest and much better than the dealer we have taken it in the past and far more knowledgeable. I would not trust anyone else to work on my car while in town that's for sure. Austin went beyond what I had expected, very professional and kind. I would certainly recommend them to anyone who may be worried about where to take their veh to be serviced moreover, their price was very reasonable.

They have been servicing my convertible since we returned to San Antonio from Europe. They are honest, reliable, trustworthy and always explain everything, In short way better than the local dealer and far more knowledgeable. I would not trust anyone else to work on my car and recommend them to strangers who stop to talk "BMW" when they see the car.

Just moved to town and don t know any mechanics in the area. My car had an issue today and a good Samaritan that help me suggested coming here. I m so glad I did! David was so friendly over the phone and when I met him in person.They took care of me with southern hospitality.I will be back for all my service needs.

Over the years they've taken good care of each of my BMWs after the warranty had expired. I've never had a problem with their work. David runs a really good shop! Highly recommended!

Absolutely the best BMW shop in San Antonio! Far better service, higher-quality, BMW knowledge, and better pricing than most BMW dealerships. Juan got to know our car and us on the very first visit, and has been an immense help. But when he's not there, everybody in the shop are just head and shoulders above the rest.

Outstanding people and very knowledgeable. They went above and beyond to fix my BMW. They tried many options before just putting an expensive new part in. I highly suggest them if you need work on your BMW.

I've been using Rhine West for a few years now after a bad service experience at a non-BMW certified shop. They really are experts and one of the few certified private shops in the US. They always take the time to explain to me what's going on (sometimes in too much detail, but then again, I don't speak car repair, lol), but every single rep there knows his stuff. Nothing's cheap when it comes to repairing a BMW, sadly, but the cost is well worth the peace of mind I get from using them.

Update: For the last five years, I've been taking both of my BMWs to Rhine West, I wouldn't dream of taking the cars anywhere else. They recently helped me diagnose a problem over the phone. Based on their recommendation, I was able to repair the car myself (bad ignition coil). These guys are honest and hard working. Thanks again!!!

David,Jon,Josh,Ray and Pat Have a remarkable operation here. First class knowledge and service. I can think of no other facility to care for our BMW's. If you are particular you need look no further than Rhine West. Done right every time over the last 20 years or so.

I would like to recognize Rhine West with 5 stars. I was a first time customer and more than likely a long term customer since they worked on my 330ci. I was reffered to them from from a reputable speciality shop (Black Forrest) out of Austin and was very pleased with everything from my first phone call, to delivery of my car when completed. These gentlemen are experienced, knowledgeable, polite and efficient. Coming from someone that has been in the service industry for 15 years I can appriciate the above.Thanks again to Juan, Austin and all the techs.

My son was in Lackland in Tech Training. He made a purchase of a 2004 BMW 330ci from a private seller. We took his car to Rhine West for over heating issues. I live in AZ called to speak to Austin about my son's car repairs. Austin was very helpful, and had alot of knowledge. He was very honest and said he didn't feel that making the repairs would not be the route we should take as the repairs ultimately would end up costing more than it would be worth. I am very pleased with Austin, Joe and his whole Crew. He could have taken advantage of the situation, but was honorable and honest. For that I would recommend everyone who owns a BMW to Rhine West! Thank you

I will definitely be taking my nearly 20 year old Z3 here for all future repairs. Prices are fair, work was done professionally and done quicker than expected. I recommend this place for all BMW work.

Was over charged 2-3hrs of labor. When asked they couldn't exactly tell me why I was being charged so much. Quoted 2-3hrs labor, ended up paying for 7hrs with no prior knowledge of being charged more. Definitely shady business practices. You can't blanket charge a customer.

Fair pricing and not pushy...they really know what they're talking about and will give you a detailed breakdown of your current issues and maybe some things to look at and get fixed/replaced in the future...really only place I would trust to work on my BMW in the San Antonio area...
