I have been taking my BMW 2011 328i to Protech for a couple of years. Richard is fantastic to work with, very professional and the customer service is just exemplary. He is honest and upfront with you regarding any problem on your car. Any work that has been performed on my car has been thorough and meticulous. I am a snob and I ask 10 questions reading forums after every service . He will patiently answer me and you will know that he is very knowledgeable on these cars. I have got so much work done here on my old beemer including some electrical issues avoiding the dealer. So glad to have found this shop and will be taking my car no place else in the San Antonio area.

Great work at a fair price! Richard was great to work with. He communicated well with me throughout the repair process, was transparent about price, and got the job done in a timely manner. I trust ProTech Auto to do any future repairs on my bimmer that i don't feel comfortable doing myself. Thanks ProTech Auto!

I don t usually write reviews but I believe Protech deserves to be recognized by its high level of quality. Richard is extremely professional and personable. He knows what he s doing to say the least. We have been taking our vehicles there for 5 years and wouldn t go anywhere else. I live an hour and a half away now and I still use his services.

I m glad I found this Richard as a dealer alternative! I have him service our family van Mercedes Benz Sprinter, E250, and GL450 and have never been disappointed. There was a major job that was required on our SUV and he was honest and a fraction of the cost of the MB dealer. I highly recommend this mechanic service!

Richard is absolutely fabulous,knowledgeable, and has great communication skills. He will not provide unnecessary services and has great attention to details. Richard and Chris are fantastic people. I used them for some basic maintenance on my GLE but I was impressed with their work and attention to detail. The vehicle was ready by the promised time and their prices are much more competitive than the dealership. Richard explained that they do more than just maintenance, they also do things as simple as brakes and alignments to larger transmission and engine repairs, and they both have training from the Mercedes-Benz factory which is great. So let me tell you this shop is amazing. Had my car at three shops before bringing it to Richard for an electrical problem that they couldnt figure out. He figured it out in 30 minutes. It s hard to find an honest mechanic these day. Glad I found him

Richard and his team did a great job with my 2018 GLS 550 4Matic, they saved the day by properly diagnosing the issue i had that a previous auto shop misdiagnosed and tried to charge for an unnecessary repair. Thank God I reached out to ProTech and had them diagnose it to identify the issue. They took care of it quickly and the communication was great , he explained so much and tried to make me understand what was going on before doing anything else. I had a major electrical issue on my Gwagon and I could not figure it out. Could not have stumbled upon a better repair shop then Protech. Richard and Chris are the most honest young professionals you ll meet in a time when people really are out fro themselves in this industry. Im taking my ferrari here just because of that. After a few bad experiences with my 2009 BMW I was cautious trying to find a new mechanic. I'm now beyond happy with ProTech, they gave me a detailed list of the work needed and explained why. They also let me know what things were more high priority issues and which I could wait to have done. When I picked the car up and had questions they quickly let me come back and showed me exactly what was going on. Most other mechanics would give you back the car and say you can drop it back off and they will look at it when they have time. ProTech was nothing but professional and helpful. First time I can happily say I will go back to this shop in the future.

I met Richard through my brother. I had a very traumatic experience with my vehicle and was super nervous about taking it any where else. I took my vehicle in which is an older BMW which I think has a lot of life still left in it. Richard has been the MOST amazing, reliable mechanic that I have ever run across. He s fair, dependable and reasonable. I am so glad I met Richard and will forever be his customer. Hey car has been a head scratcher for him but he kept my baby running and safe. Richard and Chris is an absolutely incredible person. Honest, faithful, and polite as well. My mini cooper was in very bad shape and oil leaking from day one since I bought a used one from the auto showcase. I am grateful Richard and Chris did the best job and take care of my mini very well. I would like to give them 10 stars for their credit. Great business and service.

Root problems require a REAL mechanic, and ProTech Auto is the REAL deal!My older BMW was not reversing when in gear at all and Richard, who was very professional, polite and attentive, diagnosed it, replaced the needed parts, changed the transmission fluid, and my baby is running great!!!The BMW dealership (Prinipal BMW of SA) charged me $193 to perform a "diagnostic", and I was told I needed a "new" transmission, and they didn't have that part. Well thank you Lord they didn't have the part because after speaking to Richard at ProTech Auto and taking it into his shop he not only fixed it, but saved me over $5000 - THANK YOU RICHARD!!!I'll definitely be back for ALL my services!Services: Transmission, Vehicle Inspection

Absolutely THE BEST!!TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!!What a breath of fresh air and a sigh of relief to find ProTech Auto to work on my Mercedes, "Silver Girl." Owner operator Richard and Chris are true professional auto technicians with integrity and a complete working knowledge of auto mechanical repair!A different shop, (which I will not name) had given me an overpriced quote of over $4000.00 for repair of an oil leak. I called around and when I found ProTech Auto, I explained the oil leak problem, (using the diagnosis from the other shop.) Richard calmly and with a knowledge of my vehicle told me the cost would be 350. I said, "Well that sounds better... so 3500?"He said, "No. $350.00" ??? I was shocked! The other shady mechanic shop wanted to charge me over ten times the cost of the repair!!!I made the appointment and sure enough, ProTech proved true to their name and Richard and Chris completed the repair the same day at a cost of $350.00 plus some oil.No hassles. No trying to sell me services I don't need or want. No trying to confuse me with technical mechanical jargon. They just explained the problem in clear terms and the solution and repairs needed to get me back on the road again.Since my favorite mechanic moved to the opposite side of town a few years ago, I have struggled to find a mechanic who actually loves the work and is a master of their craft. Richard and Chris are my new 'go to' mechanics and from now on ProTech Auto will be my first choice in care, maintenance, and repairs for my Silver Girl!Can I say I love them? Finding professional mechanics who love their work and take pride in doing the best job they can with honesty and integrity is the best peace of mind any vehicle owner could ask for! Brought my company's Sprinter to Protech to fix a cylinder misfire and repair a leak at the fuel filter. The team a Protech had my van ready in 24 hours! I was very impressed with the high level of customer service this shop provides. I received several phone calls after the diagnosis and offered me options on the repair. I'd definitely recommend this shop for your own German made vehicle.

Richard was amazing! After trying to troubleshoot the electrical issues on my BMW M3, I took a chance on going to a new mechanic. I'm glad I did. He was persistent on trying to solve the problem. He's an honest mechanic and very informative. You can tell he takes pride in his work. Take it from someone who has usually preferred doing his own car work, try Protech out. You will not be disappointed.

My experience with ProTech has been very successful. The service was outstanding, everything I ve had done to my car was thoroughly explained before & after the service. I would refer any & all of my friends/family to this business. It was very professional & there s never a wait for me when I show up for my appointments. Took my car to another mechanic and he had my car for over a month but the car was in the same shape a month after I dropped it off. So I took my car to Richard and he got it running very well in 2 days. I recommend Richard for all your needs. Richard and his crew fixed our Mercedes after local Selma Mercedes Dealer had our GL for 26 days, charged $800 in Diagnostics, then decided they did not have the proper tools to go any further and fix the Vehicle. Richard has performed our 60K maintenace Service, Trans Service, and will be installing Factory Roof Rack when Parts arrive. We will not go anywhere else for all our Vehicle needs. Richard was amazing in helping get us towed from a much pricier shop and did the job just as good or better for half the cost. I feel very confident in ProTech, moreso than I do with the shop we ve done business with to service our BMW for 10 years! Give Richard and ProTech a shot!!

Took my 2014 Mercedes e class to Protech. I was greeted in a friendly manner. Right away I knew it was going to be a great experience. My vehicle had an electrical fault had it at the dealer and after two months they still couldn t give me an answer!! Finally had enough and tried Protech. The team had an answer for me within a day and were able to have my vehicle back to me in less then three and the service was very well priced compared to what I was charged for nothing at Mercedes dealership.
