Oscar or Cesar (whatever his real name is) is a crooked and deceitful business owner. I left my truck with him for servicing I never got a call back with info on what the diagnosis was I finally called him to inquire and he said he would begin work first thing in the morning. I agreed but changed my mind overnight and went to pick up my truck as they opened up the shop at 8:30 AM. The lead mechanic informed me that Cesar took my truck home but would be back at 11:00 AM. I never gave my consent for this use. Shortly after 11:00 AM, the lead mechanic told me that he would be in with my truck at 1:00 PM. Then shortly after 1:00 PM, the story was now 3:00 PM. Then 5:00 PM. Finally at 5:45 PM, I decided to call the police for Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle . The police showed up about 6:30 and began to take all the information when my truck miraculously showed up. Oscar the coward sent his son to deliver my truck back to me. I will not recommend this auto shop to anyone. They don t know what they re doing and they take/use your vehicle without your permission. No Bueno!

Oscar is the most evil man I've met in San Antonio! This guy has been double charging me not giving me a receipt for services. I took my car back to him after my alternator went out again I paid him in full he told me my car would be ready the next day only to call me and tell me my computer was bad but not to worry bcuz he already ordered the part and he was giving me credit then he call back 2 days later to tell me it was gonna be 700.00 I told him I don't have the money and I was coming to pick my car up but he said the alternator wasn't on yet I waited a week he refuse to give me my car he said to give him 350.00 I told him I didn't have it so he ask for 160.00 so I called the police that's when he gave me my key. My car wouldnt start 1 week later I took it to AutoZone to check my battery and they said it was the alternator. This guy need to be shut down asap.

Not sure where all these bad reviews are coming from I had a great experience brought my car in last minute. He worked on it the same day .Took a little bit to start but that's expected he had to order parts .Got the job done the same day .But needed an alignment after , which he didn't even charge me for.So I had to leave it .He let me use a loner car which was great .Had to add a transmission mount the next day , and he didn't even charge for labor .My car is running great now will definitely go back .Always answered calls and even had it done when he said he wouldOscar is very nice as wellService: General repairs & maintenance

When I bought my jeep been taking my it to this place over ten yrs ago. Since I had it took it there many times for minor issues and was fixed. Just after one thing something else needed fixing. Turns out I bought a lemon. He didn't charge for labor or extra parts. Since then got another vehicle only taken it once to get fixed and it still runs. Yes calls may not go through only to voicemail. But he called back. Then again my issues were minor repairs.

Do not put your car at risk by coming here. They overcharged me to fix my AC and then TOOK THE OIL OUT OF MY CAR. I imagine this was to spite me for getting mad at them for overcharging me. They drink on the job and dont try to hide it. This is not a business. It's a clubhouse for little alcoholic men to pretend to work on cars. My car is fine now but if you've been here you should have it looked at by a professional.

This business is not legit believe the reviews the man oscar is a bad business man and gave me the run around for 2 months and I had to get the police involved. Do not stop here under any circumstances!! He misplaced my key after having my vehicle sitting there for several months then charged me to reprogram a KEY that he lost. Run!

Will NEVER EVER take a vehicle to this shop again!! (9 Jul) Emergency towed my car there because a belt broke. Problem identified as supercharger. Ok, I understand. By (31 Jul) parts to correct the problem not ordered. (I find and order them myself and drop them off) (14 Aug) I get my car back. Prior to leaving Oscar's I bring to his attention a trim piece missing. (I was actually asked was I sure it was there before???) Also fog light not aligned when bumper was re-installed. I'm told to bring the car back and everything will be taken care of. After leaving and driving the vehicle for a few miles I identify exhaust not hanging or affixed properly. I Inform Oscar. I return Wed (Aug 19th)I after coordinating with Oscar. When I get to the shop. He's not there. My car can't be looked at, trim piece not ordered, and I'm informed that Oscar knew about the exhaust issue but told his co-worker not to worry about it. Friday (21 Aug) messaged to inquire about when the trim piece will be there and when can have issues corrected. No response. (24 August) I give up. $620.00 poorer and a month and a half later and my only option is to go to another shop to fix Oscar's work. I couldn't be more disappointed. How was this worth my time or money??Service: Engine repair

My car was doing a noise he told me he needed to change a piece so he did, still the noise I can back a minutes later because the check engine light is on. He told me come back next day at 6:00, so I did it, another man told me he just left and wanted to charge me another 40 Dlls., for the test they do with a little computer as Auto Zone does with no charge. This man is lie. His name is not even Oscar it s Cesar. He took for ever to check my car and didn t even fix it!!!!they didn t even put my car back together right..not professional at all!!!!!! DONT EVER PAY FIRST!!!! That s how they get you to wait you have no choice because you paid already .so your on their time ..

Oscar s automotive is very reliable and great prices! My family has been taking their cars to Oscar s for years and have not had any bad experiences. The great thing about Oscar s is that he backs up his work with warranty and let s you know aboutHow long the car will take to be fixed. We will definitely continue to bring our vehicles here whenever service is needed.

They promised the job to be done to my car by a certain time and it was done within 20 minutes of initial time expected. The work they did was AAA+. Twice in a week same same. Respectful personnel, did a great job for me I will refer my friends and family to him any time. No problem. I am a very busy person, but I can trust him.

Went in for rotar resurfacing, he gave me a very good deal for both, he had also advised me that I was going need new brakes. I mentioned that I had just bought them and was going home to put them on myself, when Oscar said "give them here we will put them on for you at no extra charge"!!!!! I was very pleased with the service from Oscar s Auto Shop. My car (2005 Ford Five Hundred) had been sitting for over three and a half years and wasn t sure if I would ever get the car running again. I dropped off my car and it was fixed within hours. Plugs,coils, and oil change. My car has been running great and have not had any difficulties. The price was affordable and Oscar s Auto Shop will be my choice for any future repairs. I highly recommended. Thank you Oscar and staff, you are greatly appreciated!

Oscar and his crew have always taken care of my and my family's cars. He has always stood by his work and made sure things are right. On top of that his prices are very reasonable. So if you don't want to pay an arm and a leg at a dealership or other type of expensive auto shop, then this is the place to go.

Oscar has had my car for almost 3 weeks now and has not finished his job yet. Every time I call it s always that he needs more time, a job that originally was said to take a few days turned into almost 3 weeks. He was payed up front for the job and doesn t care to get it done in a timely matter. Not only that Oscar is very rude and unprofessional, when me and my sister went up to the shop he put his had up in our face and said he wasn t talking to us anymore. He also didn t let me walk to see my car. In all this shop is a dump and I wouldn t recommend going here at all.

I came to Oscar s Automotive due to a broken window regulator. They took care of me immediately and it was the best customer service i ve ever experienced in my life. This shop is very deceptive and dishonorable and only cares about milking you for every penny you have..Oscar had been working on my husbands car for over 2yrs failing to properly fix it..initial repair totaled $800 (mind you from day one always to him how good of a motor he had) after finally confronting him about how he is milking our money not getting fixing the car properly he promised to get to the bottom of it..he finally tries to say it was the head gaskets we knew he was lying because he tried to say the car ran hot(how does a car run hot if it s not staying started long enough to do so?) sure enough we took the car immediately somewhere else and it wasn t the motor ,$450 buck later car working fine..STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! They will cause or make up issues with your vehicle to get the max out of you and it still won t be fixed.

I called this place to have brakes done to my Tundra. It had been a while that I came here to have my electrical serviced to my, then, '94 Jeep Wrangler. They did a good job.I talked to Fercho. He assured me he would do a good job and has had experience working on Toyota trucks. I brought the brake pads to him since I wanted to use factory brakes. He cut the rotors and installed them.All is well and look forward to keep going.Good job, Fercho!

i was recommended this shop by my grandmother and shes been around long enough to know a good shop when she finds one and shes absolutely right. in my experience coming to this shop, oscars automotive have always been honest and did the work right at a very reasonable price, theyve first fixed a oil leak i had in the rear oil pan which requires you to take apart the transmission from the engine, which is a big job that other mechanics i took it to were not confident in doing it themselves, but oscars mechanics did it no problem, and all their work has a warranty so they know what theyre doing, ive still had no problems since they did their work on my car. since then, theyve done other small things on my car that ive needed but no matter the job, their work and price goes a long way. i highly recommend this shop, professional and quality work all at a reasonable price. oscars automotive is an all auto services shop and they mean it.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning, Oil change

Brought in my Toyota to get a tire patch. The mechanic couldn t get my wheel back on, he would tighten all the bolts but the wheel wasn t sturdy as if it was loose. He called over another mechanic and the other guy just drops my car down and says im done as if I hadn t noticed. I test drove and now my car shakes hard. I came back and asked what happened and neither mechanic new what they did to my car. I waited an hour for Oscar the owner to show up and he said it was already broken. Not possible since I drove there and after repairs my carvwas now undriveable.I threatened to call the police and Oscar offered to replace my tire rack and pinion assembly for $320 and eventually came down to $200. I decided not to call the cops since I needed the car fixed asap. Oscar took my $200 and changed my tie rod. ??? Not what I asked for, not what we discussed, I didn t authorize the repairs. And most importantly the car still was shaking. Im filing a police report, reporting to the BBB, and opening a civil suit against them. Never come here Oscar is a liar and a criminal.

Oscar never answered the phone when he has your car. Its like he screens his caller id and will avoid you. He we he tried to fix an oil leak on my car and it took 3 days which he said it would take one day. When I got my car back, I vibrated so bad! My car did not do that before I took it in to the shop. Now my check engine light turned on!!! I tried to call Oscar multiple time and he will not answer the phone. I do not recommend any to go to this shop! BEWARE!!!

This place had my car for 3 months all they had to do is give a diagnostic and estimate and submit to my insurance but literally waited til last minute to do everything. Oscar the owner never answered his Phone and no one knew what was going on just a lot of finger pointing and finally when I get my car it shuts off randomly and what a coincidence it s an issue with something they worked on.. bad place very unprofessional and owner constantly lies ..Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair

Recently took my car, they could not resolve the issue. They had my car over a month. Owner himself, never worked on my car, he was to refund my money back and than changed his mind. He had put old parts on my car. My car was only worked on half the time. I could never get ahold of the owner, when i did nothing but excuses. Now i have to look for anotherAnd spend more money

I took my '08 Saturn to get an oil change. Normally, I will go to a bigger company but I needed to get it done locally because I had things to do. Two days later, my engine locks up on me. I take my vehicle to another mechanic and it turns out that when they performed my oil change, which is Oscars automotive, there was a piece that broke and they never bothered to tell me which resulted in all the oil leaking into the engine. HORRRIBLE!!! This mistake is causing me thousands of dollars due to this mechanic shop!

Had my truck for 2 months, never called me to update me. I had to show up each time to see what they were doing. I hit a different story every single time. The owner, his son and 2 of his mechanics.. making up excuses every single time! Avoid this place at all costs!
