My car experiences at O Brien s have been top-notch. I am impressed by the professionalism, knowledge, and thoroughness of the entire staff. The 1st time I took my car for an alignment, they fixed the issue and even went above and beyond by checking my battery which was testing bad/low. The 2nd time I took my car, they noticed another issue with my car which I wasn t aware of. Overall, every time I bring my car, the mechanics and Julie have gone above and beyond and explained in detail what my car needs, so I wouldn t have had any car issues in the future. If you see O Brien s always busy is for a reason. I can tell the owner and the entire staff genuinely care about their customers and aim to do a thorough and professional job, so our cars continue to run smoothly and so we have peace of mind and most importantly to save money.Thank you so much everyone for taking care of my car needs. I m a customer for Life now.

More than a few months back I was able to bring my car in after failed attempts at my previous mechanic being able to repair and for this same reason I m making this review.I decided to come here at O briens after seeing a comercial.I ll keep it brief .I had 2 problems 1 AC wasn t cooling 2 my car jumped a few times when I would accelerate.I was told here at O Briens I needed a complete AC change out I BELIVE about $2800. The second problem they said was my transmission and that I would need a transmission rebuilt being the car had over 100k miles on it already the recommended that so car can run smooth and like new.Well the price tag for a rebuilt transmission was around $6,500 if can rember correctly.It was too much for me to afford at the time so I went for a second opinion after I spoke to a friend. He recommended me someone .My car is now running great after repairing a Schrader valve which cost $15 dollars and repairing a coil ($89) that went bad had a misfire no transmission trouble whatsoever.Labor $150.Please get second opinions .I just want to bring awareness we all work very hard for our money and just want honesty.-Please No need for a response-*2016 Buick lacrosse*Quote was under my wife s name.

Very honest & reliable company! I dropped my 2017 ford fusion off due to it continuously dying for the past 7 months!Ryan ( i believe that is his name) took good care, provided excellent customer service, as well as remaining very patient! I went to have an alternator put in ,however was informed there was nothing wrong with it ,they performed a diagnostic and re calibrated my radar system there wasn't anything wrong besides the radar I was extremely pleased with the work and customers service I highly recommend this shop!

Possibly the worst shop in San Antonio. I took my car in for a simple oil leak. I had to take it back 4 times, because every time they said it was fixed by the next day the car was leaking oil faster than before. The final time I picked it up not only was it still leaking oil, but the transmission is acting up now. This is a very low miles car by the way. Way less than 100,000 miles. The mechanics here are bordering on completely incompetent. I have reported them to the BBB as well as Carshield.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

If I could score a 0 stars I would. We took my son's car here for an engine oil leak repair. We wound up having to take it back 4 times, & they still didn't fix it correctly. We've called the owner with no response. We gave them plenty of time to do repairs correctly, and paid way too much out of pocket for the car to still be completely unusable. The final time we picked it up it not only still leaked oil, but it now has other engine problems. Avoid this place for major repairs at all costs. Nanette, the owner, replied to this review denying we even took it back more than twice. She's obviously not aware of what happens in her own shop.

Julie did a great job at getting my brakes replaced in a timely manner. Adolph scheduled us when it was convenient. Great job, and staff is professional and knowledgeable. We'll return for auto service in the future for sure.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Did a great job on multiple occasions. Staff is super nice and they finished my car even earlier than expected for a reasonable price! Will be coming back here everytime I need something done.

My first time dealing with this business and I'm glad I selected them to repair my car. So impressed with their attitude and honesty that I am having my other vehicle repaired there. All of the staff are friendly, courteous, cheerful, knowledgeable,and helpful. Glad to have found them and will continue to do business with them.

Every place I called was overpriced and gave awful customer service and eventually I ran across O Brien online. They ordered parts, ran several tests, and repaired my car within two days while keeping in touch with me. Definitely going back if I have car troubles again.Also, they were very affordable on pricing and diagnostic is free with repair.Services: Electrical repair, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

I used O Brien s for some minor work on my Jeep. They diagnosed and fixed a transfer case issue and helped rid my Jeep of the dreaded death wobble by replacing a broken steering dampener. They called me before actually replacing any parts to discuss the exact price of the part itself. The gentleman that works at the desk even gave me a ride home so I didn t have to wait to get picked up. Quality service with quality people.Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair

Let me first start off by saying.. This company has A1 customer service, I would recommend them to everyone. And the mechanics they do awesome work. Better then major dealerships. If you want top notch honest service with out the B.S take it to o'briens's. Me personally will never go any where else. Not even the MAJOR dealerships for service.Thanks guys awesome work on my jeep.

We have used this automotive repair company for all our vehicles for the past few years and have always been completely satisfied with both their impeccable customer service and high quality vehicle service and repair. From state inspection and oil changes to complete ac restoration and window and door repair and electrical issues. They have always treated us with respect and performed fast and quality repairs. They have never gone over the quoted price and have often worked with us to ensure we can get everything we need in a timely and efficient manner. Valerie and Julie are Amazing!!! Brought my Jeep Renegade in to just have the rotors replaced which they did at a really reasonable price, and they were able to get me in just a couple of hours after I called! I came in from Shreveport Louisiana because my daughter goes to UT San Antonio and I brought her vehicle to get some shocks and struts done and everyone was very nice and professional. The owner was the most caring and energetic person I've ever seen at a business. She makes everyone around happy and smiles. I would like to say thanks to her and her team. Great place!!!!!! Do NOT trust! I went in for a simple quote on changing out a broken seatbelt. They were very nice in this interaction, and cryptically mentioned checking my battery. I thought nothing of it.A day later the alternator of my car broke down.When my husband (who knows more about cars than I do) checked it, he told me several bolts and the tensioner were simply missing!!!I am horrified that these people would risk their customers safety to make a quick buck. STAY AWAY!Very dishonest.

We were told by a quick oil change place (that shall remain nameless) that we would have to get our entire oil pan changed. Took our car to O'Briens for a 2nd opinion. They found that we didn't need that done. They quick, honest and thorough. I have always been gun shy when it comes to automotive shop's, mainly because I have been taken advantage of each and every time. From the moment I walked into O'Brien's it has been nothing but professional and personal service. As I am sitting here waiting for my car, I have been impressed on how they handle their employees, vendor but most of all customers. My car has found a new hospital. Highly recommend this place, and I haven't even received my car back.

I've only been there once and I was very satisfied with the job that they did. They offer 24 months and 24 thousand miles warranty on the job they did for me and there was a sign on the wall that stated this so I'm sure that it's for all of their work. They offered me free inspection to determine what the problem was. Other places said they would charge me $100 just to look at the car. So I'm satisfied.

My battery died at the inspection station across the street. The owner at O'Brien's Automotive was kind enough to walk over and give my car a jump and replace my battery for a great price with a solid warranty. The mechanic cleaned the battery acid off the battery terminals and sealed the connections to help prevent future acid buildup, which was legit. I will definitely check them out when I need my next oil change!
