Great place highly recommended by a friend, and i highly recommend them as well. I orderd my Efan Harness from here about a year ago and never had a problem with it since. Just ordered another one recently. Thanks (E-Fans not included just put them for reference)

Edited review, Pleas read ALL! Purchased the tuning product, not only did it fail to work properly it erased the ecu. The companys responce time was about 1 reply a month, or 1 reply per 2 months. After 7 months of this I sent everything back and requested a refund. I have been ignored. I'm over $700 deep into this company and the only thing I received was headache. If I could get a refund this review would not be necessary.Update:I was contacted by Lisa Nelson, she was polite and apologized for the inconvenience I've experienced and the way my particular issues wasn't handled properly. She assured me this wasn't the normal way of doing business. I was issued a full refund immediately. I want to formally thank you for resolving the issue. Although Nelson was unable to tune my particular truck within a timely manner. My issue with the company is 100% resolved and the 1 star has been moved to a 4 star.

Took my 2001 Silverado in for a tune and a check engine light. They fixed the wiring issue I was having and had me back on the road the same day. The mechanic and the office crew were all very friendly and professional and gave me straightforward advice instead of trying to sell more parts or unneeded accessories. My truck is running great, and I'll be coming back again with my next project.

Nelson performance does good work, Had my suburban go in for water pump time chain and oil pump price we re good and work was great will be doing basic bolt onsWith them on burban and mild build on my truck only bad part is heard to get them to answer phone for scheduling reply by email works every time . Thanks guys 5 stars

I've been going to Nelson performance for years and they've done the tuning for all of my vehicles. They just installed headers and a tune on my camaro and ill be back to tune my wife's camaro and install a cam in mine.

From the scheduling to the professional knowledge these guys have to offer, 5/5 stars easily. Their expertise of the LS base GM trucks is phenomenal. Have them installed efan harness and enabled the pcm to run the fan. Price was great and they were very nice. Would definitely recommend

Got my 06 Silverado retuned a few times and he s done a great job making sure that I get the changes I want . Great customer service and a great quality service . Best LS tuning shop I ve ever worked with and I live over a thousand miles away

Allen and his team are top notch in everything they do. I bought a tune from him and it is incredible - does exactly what he said it would. I have had to reach out to him a few times to ask questions and he is not only extremely knowledgable in all areas of the engine, but he responds faster than any business I have ever worked with. I wish I lived closer to SAT so I could work with him in person. Incredible product and unmatched customer service from true professionals. Best of the best!

Came from Waco Tx. I paid him $5k to install hptuners engine computer, and run exhaust on 2020 Denali with 6.6 diesel. Truck ran good for less than a year. Had problems starting, called Allen, he completely disregarded the problem being his responsibility. Paid to have truck towed twice, to local dealer and shop. Engine computer failure due to his tune platform being an iOS 12 instead of 13. Hptuners was willing to warrantee the ecm, and Allen was slow to assist in creating another tune file, and any customer service in general. The shop I used charged me another $600 for installation of warranted ecm, and Allen finally provided the file. I asked him on the replacement ecm, was it an iOS 12 file. He disregarded my question saying it would work. 2 months later, I now have another ruined ecm, and when speaking to hptuners, because Allen dismissed the problem again, they said it was another iOS 12 version that caused it. I ve emailed Allen on this issue, and after claiming it wasn t his fault again, he no longer responds, I strongly recommend not using this guy. Most all communication is via email, and he doesn t stand behind his workmanship, after $5k in work. That says a lot to me. I ve now got 6k in a tuned paperweight of a 2020 denali. My options are to buy another ecm for $650, which I hold Allen responsible for. Then pay another $1250 for tune file from someone more viable, and another $220 to mechanic. Or go back to stock, throwing away the $6k already in the truck being tuned. Please stay away from Nelson Perfornance.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Nelson performance is the only shop I trust. Worth the 1hr drive to get there. These guys really know their stuff. After cam install truck wasn't running right. Had nelson install long tube headers and electric fan. Not only does truck scream now but 5 speed shifts like butter. Also picked up a solid mpg over stock. Same story with cam install on trans am. Car drives like a dream and idles clean. Don't listen to negative reviews. I could blow up my high performance motor 5 min after leaving shop. It comes with the territory. Thanks nelson for all the work you have done for me. 15k miles on truck build running strong as ever!!!

Mr. Nelson and his team are very talented and knowledgeable, especially about LSx engines like the LS1 in my old Camaro. His shop has done several major jobs on my car, including valve lifter replacement, rocker arm upgrade, fuel pump replacement, clutch replacement, front and rear main seal replacement, etc. He has always advised me very well regarding all the issues that tend to come up on an older car like mine. All work done was spot on and thorough, and at very reasonable rates. I highly recommend this shop. My car is stock, but I have seen some very impressive modified/performance vehicles done by Nelson's so anyone with vehicle performance needs, especially for Chevy's, will be very well taken care of at this shop.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Air conditioning, Oil change

This speed shop is the best in San Antonio. Allen Nelson can tune and properly install the parts he sells. As a first time customer I worry if my car will be abused in the process. I was totally impressed at the professionalism of Allen and his crew. The end results were beyond expectations. Clean install of my headers, lower pulley, and cold air intake. Can't wait for the next upgrade

I have been coming here for years. Finally pulled the trigger and did my DOD delete and Cam kit. I am beyond impressed with the work. Engine block out of the truck, heads off, cleaned up, and all new parts for cam kit back in and running in 2.5 days. This is one of the few places I trust with my truck.

Had to do fan clutch to electric fan conversion on my ls build was terrified of having to splice and build a junk yard harness came across these guys online, gave the harness a shot and I was highly impressed!!!!!!! What had me worried for 3 days only took 30 mins to install from these guys, heavy duty harness looks great perfect fit!!!!! Thanks guys

I recently had a tuneup on my 1999 Corvette LS-1 by Alan at Nelson Performance.I could not be any happier!! My car drives like a different car!! The performance and gas mileage difference is amazing!!My wife and I just got back from a 2,600 mile trip in this car and averaged over 30 miles per gallon. (I was averaging 26 miles per gallon before the tuneup.)My wife and I consider this tuneup as money very well spent!!

Took my truck there to install / tune a stage 2 cam, was quoted $2k but ended up being $3k, no big deal, when I got it back it ran ok for a month but then the lifters already are ticking super loud and my head gasket is burning coolant ( both of which they claimed to replace), and the transmission hard shifts every time it downshifts. Also, when I rev it in neutral, the RPMS take about 10 seconds to die back down to idle. I m not sure if I got a lemon tune / install, but it sure was a good waste of $3K. Need to replace lifters and head gasket already, it s misfiring from it. It also barely beats my friends stock truck ( same engine / trans ), when it should be atleast a truck length faster.

If it was possible to give 6 stars I would. I ordered a fan harness for my brother for Christmas for his 01 Silverado. Nelson Performance called me and told me I did not need the additional connectors that I had ordered and a refund would be done by the end of the week. So here we are on a TUESDAY and my paypal account has already been refunded and the package has shipped. This is the best customer service I have ever received. No one should hesitate at all to do business through Nelson Performance. Thanks again guys!

Have had 2 different trucks tuned here. One stock. One with alot of work done to it. They were able to get my tuning done perfectly.

I am an old guy with an 08 Trailblazer SS. I did not have a lot of knowledge about having a vehicle tuned, but I read about it and decided to give it a try.I asked around, and spoke with several tuners and checked the feedback provided by their customers. Even though I live in Boerne and Nelson Performance is located in S. San Antonio, I decided to give them a try. All I can say is what a difference. My TBSS is a completely different vehicle. It pulls so much harder, shifts much harder and when I stay off of the gas pedal, it gets much better fuel mileage. I plan on making a number of upgrades to this vehicle and Nelson will be doing the work. Give them a try. I don't believe you will be disappointed. MRC

They are Great they fix my 09 silverado crew cab. It had a electrical issue. My truck was not running good it was loosing throtal response, Dont hesitate to call Nelson Performance.Thanks Daniel.

Tuned my 2018 3500HD with the 6.0 gas motor. Much better overall driving feel, cleaned up the constant gear hunting and truck accelerates smoothly from a stop without lugging. Huge difference cruising on the highway, pulls grades without downshift/upshift annoyance. Definitely pleased with the results after several hundred miles of mixed terrain driving.

Dont take your car here they do Horrible work and have horible costumer service. Can't even put oil in a transmission then blame you and still take your money even when you have pics of damage they say they don't care it's not there fault. If you want your car that you worked hard for to run great take it to someone else don't take it here. They don't care about your car.

I purchased an electric fan conversion harness from Nelson Performance for my 2002 Silverado. I also sent them the PCM from my truck so that they could activate the fans in the PCM. The harness was in my hands in a matter of days and the PCM was sent back to me the same day they received it, excellent service! Now I m enjoying my new electric fans, thanks!

First time at Nelson Performance,couldn't be happier with their service.Went there for a tune for my Camaro and car is running great.They took their time to explain what was being done and they new their stuff.Definitely going back for more upgrades.
