Okay so its been a whole month since I've had my Plug-In Hybrid fixed by these guys. No issues whatsoever! These guys are awesome at what they do! After what I've been through with another repair facility *cough Lone Star Dodge cough*, these guys superseded them by so much. I will say though... it is imperative that you MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! My vehicle stayed there for a couple of weeks when it broke down and had to be towed to this location. It just so happened to be at a time where they were booked almost 2 weeks out. Not any fault of their own, just unfortunate circumstances. However, they did maintain communication with me to let me know any progress with the vehicle. I know now that I will make appointments with them for any future repairs. Nonetheless, Mccreless Automotive earned my business and my trust.

The ONLY shop I go to after getting my vehicles regularly serviced in SA for over 10 years. Friendly, honest, & reasonably priced this place checks them all. I recommend this location to my close friends all the time. This shop is small, so you'll most likely have to schedule a service date with them. Keep this in mind as it's not somewhere for walk ups etc. But the work and all is well worth the wait.

I've got an older Dodge, that I love, with his many faults. He's almost to 200k, and no signs of stopping anytime soon. I had some strange rough driving last month, so I took it in per a friend's recommendation, I live across town, but if they could fix his Ram (whole new engine, also an older truck), then surely they could help me with my old hoopty (2014).The ladies up front were super nice, even though they were both busy with a few customers inside, one was picking up, another doing a state inspection, and me and another customer were dropping off our vehicles.I didn't have an appointment, she let me know that even though I wasn't expected, I was still very welcome. She explained they'd take care of their appointments first and then work me in, that she would call me later that day or the next to go over their findings.One of the ladies called me in the afternoon and explained they'd not been able to fully pinpoint what was going on, but they had a start, and sent me some photos. She explained they'd complete looking at my vehicle in the morning. That was awesome, I appreciated her updating me, even though they weren't done yet, after all.. I dropped it off on a Thursday morning with no appointment, just walked in early.The next morning, mid morning, one of the ladies called me again. They'd found out what was going on...Apparently I had some bad wiring (pics of where they tested the wiring before the bad spot 6in more down that wire setup) that was causing my fuel injectors to overheat and split open, and had been going on awhile... (pics of them splitting open and rusted, under my engine cover.. where I don't ever look..) Ummm... huge fire hazard.. oops. My poor car!Now I've been all over the country in this car, it's seen snow, sand, the usual San Antonio flooded streets, a squirrel or 3.. pecans in the engine...They also did an overall check on the rest of him and well, I'm ashamed to say that the roads here had taken a toll on his suspension. Which is why it's a wonky turn and not like his younger days.I asked how much this repair would be.. she was ready with the estimate for the injector thing for my rough running annnd she had a separate one ready for the suspension, too. I wasn't exactly devastated by the cost, but I'd also not done this type of repair before. You know, the normal battery, alternator, starter, tires, gaskets of whatever was leaking.. this was different.. a bigger issue than ever before.I love him, so I asked if I could call her back so I could check my bank.What I really did was call a few other shops and the dealer. Oooooh... I wanted to cry when I heard their prices and some couldn't get to me to fix it for a few days, one said 2 wks before they could even get me in.So I called her back around noon, my car was already there and their prices were way better than the other places I had called for quotes on what she said needed to be done.I decided I'd go ahead and do both, the injector thing and the suspension. I felt bad for neglecting him.She explained that since it was Friday and already past noon, it would depend on how fast they could get the parts there to fix him. I understood, again, no appointment and the end of the week!She called me back maybe an hour or two later and explained the suspension parts got there and were being done, but the injectors hadn't come in yet.I was hopeful, 2 days without my ride was tough, but an engine fire would be a lot worse for me.She called again like 4 almost, said the parts came in and they would like to have it done by 6 for me.Again, I was hopeful, they'd been up front and honest with me from the get go.They called again right before 6 to say it was done, tested and ready for pick up.I was thrilled and said it would take me 30mins to get there in traffic, she understood and said she'd be able to wait for me. HOW AWESOME! Must places have told me to pick up the next day..I got there and they showed me what they did and went over the repairs again.For under 1k I got all 8 injectors and the busted suspension fixed.

Fast. Friendly. Excellent communication. The people here are so nice. They charged literally 1/6 of what the dealer wanted after my car was vandalized. The customer part of the shop is clean and has complimentary cold water and hot coffee, and WIFI!!! The lady behind the desk was already masked up when we came in. Great place. Definitely recommend and will use again.

The second time was as good as the first. I will co tinue to recommend. It was a pleasure doing business with this women's owned company. They were fast professional and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Very prompt , professional and honest ... They do not over charge or tell you that you need something when you don't like a bunch of other big chain stores. I have got work done on my Acura as well as a 6" inch suspension lift on my truck. McCreless Automotive is simply the best! I ve had some work done on a small 1998 pickup truck and I couldn t have asked for better customer service and vehicle service. I ve gone to them several times and each time I know that they are going to be honest, reliable and dependable. I don t have to worry about getting overcharged or being lied to about unnecessary vehicle repairs. They simply do the work asked of them and will point out if other services is recommended but never pushed into purchasing it. I ve been to other shops and often times came out with unwanted services and fees. Zon, the shop manager, keeps you informed of how the maintenance is progressing and when it is going to be done. Jesse, one of the technicians, explains in detail and shows you all that was done. Within a couple of weeks after the service, you ll get a notification from them asking how your vehicle is doing. I ve never had this before so it was surprising to see this. One time I did have a concern and they said to go back which I did and they resolved the issue with no problem. Now this is customer service!! Each time I have had to go for service there I have been treated well, with smiles, friendly attitude as if they are glad to see me. They do not look or act as if I am doing them a favor or by coming to get work done on my car. It's the other way around, they are glad to serve me and care about me. Crazy, but true. The owner and employee and mechanic all came out to the parking lot next door to threaten me after I said I would write a review. Attached is picture of employee taking my car picture at store next door, wish I could share audio here, taped them berating and threatening me also. So, what happened to cause them to do this? I asked for auto maintenance and was told they couldn't work on it til later. I said fine and said I would leave it, and that's where it got weird. They said I couldn't leave the car (although LOTS OF CARS WERE THERE AND I'VE LEFT A CAR THERE BEFORE-I'd been there before with no problems). Anyways, I asked nicely again and when they said no, I said I would leave them a review and left. (FYI I used to work in auto repair and the nature of the business is multi-day visits of cars so their response made no sense at all). That's when the fun began. After I left and was telling my son at the store next door that I was finding a new place, the owner followed me to the shopping center next door to hassle me. I gather that they think that the chance of a customer writing a bad review means that they can follow and threaten me. One by one they came out to me and threatened me at my son's car. (See the pictures of one of them, the employee, taking pictures of my sons car. Notice the distinctive building color in the background of where she is standing. That is quite a ways from their shop and shows their aggressiveness. A few people noticed and also seemed alarmed like me. Anyways, I left, took my truck down the street to Firestone who of course allows vehicles to be left (what good mechanic doesn't?), and got it fixed by some professionals. Bottom line: I'd recommend you go to Firestone half a mile or so away and receive courteous and professional treatment.

Don t even bother going to this place, sent my nissan work van for inspection and the lady there started giving hell to our employee, She wanted to sell brand new tires to us or she wouldn t pass the inspection, tires on the vehicle are heavy duty tires and still have very good tread, We always keep up with our service vehicles.I know you guys are money hungry but thats not how you make money, thank goodness your not the only ones in San Antonio. Also you get so confrontational with customers that you forget that your running a business and not full fill customers needs. That s sad you are like that. We have copies of inspection reports from previously using your business, don t lie about it, believe me is not helping us to reconsider. And why do you keep DELETING the customers review by flagging or blocking them, that tells alot about your business!

Had my brakes and rotors repaired at McCreless and couldn t have asked for a better experience. Going in, as a woman, I always feel taken advantage of at mechanic shops. This was a non-issue at McCreless. I felt heard and taken care of the entire time. Their team communicated well with me and had my car back to me quickly. Their prices are more than reasonable and their customer service is unmatched. They will now be my family s shop as well as referred to my friends and colleagues.

The service was amazing!! The mechanic explained everything that was being done and the front office staff was so polite and answered my questions. They followed up to see if my car was running good and if I had any other questions. Credible shop. I ve taken two of my vehicles here . They are quick, reliable, professional and prices are fair. Jessie helped me with my vehicle on my last visit. The front staff is also very knowledgeable and willing to help . I recommend scheduling an appt since they stay busy!

I get the inspections for all my vehicles here. Usually no wait and the receptionist is a sweetheart. Love the dog as well. Definitely recommend

Tried getting my car inspection... The lady was rude so I asked to talk to the manager who threatened me and said to come to the shop to see what happens. After reading more reviews I see I'm not the only one that was threatened. And that the owner himself thinks it's OK to do so. He even called a review against him "story time". This is not professional. Do not recommend for anyone to go with this business. He will threaten you for asking them to stop being rude....I have been waiting for the response from rude lady to spin her lies. This was not about being able to do the inspection. This was about her being rude when trying to find out if I could get it done. She needs to get a grip on reality... But was done asking about the inspection and just want to clarify that she was rude and she doubled down on the rudeness and when I asked for the manager she left the phone just there with no reply. I called back and told the owner she was rude and he proceeded to escalate the situation. Just apologize when yall are rude and save us all time and effort...

I have taken my car so many places and no one could figure out what was wrong. I felt like I was spending more on repairs than I was the actual vehicle until someone recommended McCreless Automotive.From the beginning they provided excellent customer service and unlike other places which try to take you for all you have, they told me what was critical and what could wait to be fixed. I have referred my friends here and now we all won't take our cars anywhere else!!!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Engine repair, A/C installation & repair, Oil change

I was picking up my father from this repair shop for a simple drop-off. I was parked in the parking lot next door. As my father approached me in my car to tell me the bad news (the shop wouldn't allow us to drop off the car, even after making it clear that we had no expectations on turn-around time) I see the OWNER chasing after my retired father verbally berating him. She had to chase him 35 ft away and even left her own property to chase after him. Her reasoning? To argue why she shouldn't 'get a bad review'. Don't you love irony?It actually gets worse---as my father and I are researching on google maps the next closest mechanic (we don't know a whole lot of other places around since we've been repeat customers at this shop) the mechanic and an office employee come out and continue to posture with threats of calling the police. At this point, because of the shouts of the mechanic getting louder and louder, closer and closer, I actually felt the need to EXIT my car and physically stand between the shouting mechanic and my father to act as a deterrent (keep in mind we're still off of their property, they had followed us to the parking lot next door). Luckily, I'm a large male and my presence alone diffused the situation and the mechanic left. I couldn't imagine if I was a female or senior citizen!If you're anything like me, you know that in auto-repair, customer service goes a long ways. You will NOT get that here---in fact, there's a chance that you catch the owner on a bad day and are verbally berated, stalked/followed to your car and threatened like we were. I'm also witnessing the owner's responses on these review pages ---stunning behavior, but pretty demonstrative of what you can expect. Also, the owner loves to threaten 'calling the police' (probably thinks it legitimizes their claims). The only real crime here? Their customer service.Avoid like the plague!

Took my vehicle in for a bumper repair and some idling issues and had the best experience. The owner and employees were very attentive to professional. Not only did they do a great job finding the issue of the idling but they were able to fix it in a timely manner. The pricing of the repairs were affordable which made this experience all the better. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to this automotive shop!

Excellent customer service, very professional staff and very skilled mechanics.Fair prices, easy turn around and greeted with a smile.I've already have 2 upcoming appointments for some preventative maintenance.

I used McCreless Automotive for the first time and had one of the best experiences ever. Not only was the owner very professional, but our mechanic was thorough. Two days before I was to pick up my vehicle, I got a call letting me know they found out that they could fix my car, and end up saving me a little over a $1,000.00 . In short I am very pleased and would highly recommend McCreless Automotive to anyone that needs good work and an honest staff for automotive repair.

McCreless Auto is Awesome, I called about a fairly difficult repair I need with my own parts, Zon gave me a price for just replacing and also a price if I needed the other parts associated with it which I didn't even think about, She scheduled me a time the next day, I arrived and was told it will be completed that eve. or first thing in the morning...She called me the evening, it was ready and the price WAS LESS than she quoted and completed the job Correctly!! This is very Unusual and I would Strongly advise anyone needing a auto-repair to contact McCreless Automotive!!Service: Steering & suspension repair

I had such an awesome experience at McCreless Automotive after my engine blew. The owners, Zon and Jesse explained in detail what was needed for the repair and Zon even shopped around to get me the best price on an engine which made me feel very comfortable trusting them with my car repair. I expected to pay a lot more than what they actually charged me and my car is running great! They are very honest and trustworthy and I highly recommend them.

Took my 04 silverado for a complete motor overhaul. Was done in a very timely manner and price was very reasonable. Would recommend this place to all my friends and family. So first let me just say how amazing these guys were, including Christen . . I brought my car in without without appt. for a check engine light && they were still able to get me in and put within a couple of hours . While waiting on my vehicle I had walked to another destination, they offered to pick me up free of charge. I just want to let you know this place is a great one.Service: Electrical repair

This automotive place is where my parent s recommended me. I have no knowledge about cars, but one of my car s blinker is not blinking , so I went to this automotive, the moment I got there, they were very attentive, they come out , greeted me and ask me How they can help me.And one of the things that I really appreciate this place because they give me the time expected when they are ready to check my car, so I do not feel anxious and just hanging in there what would be my next step. Then they fix it within 10-15 mins , he adjusted it. I know sounds very easy case but what really that make me appreciate , is that they are willing to check , like it s very special case. I can sense that they are so genuine with their work to help people and fixing their car.
