Me and my wife's truck took longer than expected but JP bought us 2 rentals when we needed it and always took the extra step when asked. He does the best work and would highly recommend this business! Their company really commits to its customers and are truly honest and reliable to their customers. I can keep boasting about them but I'm not trying f to beat a dead horse. 10/10 yall!!!

FAIR WARNING TO POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS:Took my favorite car in for some upgrades (full exhaust, waterpump, tune up) We agreed upon a timeline and price. Jay did decent enough work for the money, but there were some big drawbacks. The car took twice as long to finish than initially agreed upon, which also included me personally helping in the process for 8 hours to push the project along and get back on track to finishing the work. Communication between customer and shop was difficult and unreliable. I had to physically show up to get straight answers on the progress of my vehicle, which also produced a sour attitude from the shop owner. Some of the work ended up being re-done because new gaskets were not properly installed or wires were reversed. It seemed like simple, careless, or rushed mistakes. In an effort to finish quickly, the exhaust work was poor and the work showed. I spotted multiple exhaust leaks and could tell that the work was done hastily. The weld job was below average and I will have to go to a better weld shop to fix this mess. The price was affordable but for the headaches I would have rather spent more money at a better shop. Time management, customer communication, and professionalism were lacking and are the reason for this review.Services: Exhaust, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

JP and his crew worked on my 2012 BMW recently (added photo to show my car is older but in great condition). My motor lost compression so he had to reach out to my car warranty to file a claim. After his evaluation the adjuster came out and verified his work was accurate. he was able to pin point the issue with his computer. (He has high tech equipment btw)The motor took about a week to come in. He and his crew had it replaced with in a couple of days. However, the manufacturer sent him a defective one. He called them back and requested them to send him a new one. He made sure they did a compression test before they sent it and also had them send him the certified numbers that it was working properly. All the while he kept me informed every step of the way. Had the first motor not been defective I'm sure I would have had my car done within the same week. Working with him was easy. He's honest and humble and truly cares about his work and his costumers concerns. I live 30 miles south of SA and I will definitely recommend his place 100%! I don't care how far his place was to me, just by speaking to him on the phone the first time asking a ton of questions, as to, has he worked on luxury cars (bc I don't want just anyone touching my car) has he worked with warranty companies, what was his turnaround times, I knew he was a good mechanic and he proved it! If you are look for a GREAT MECHANIC, and want things done right..look no further! I will definitely be a customer for life. Thank you JP and your crew for all your hard work and making sure my car was before giving it back. You could have sent me on my way with the defective motor, with all the oil leaks it had, and got paid, but you didn't. I appreciate your honesty, kindness and work eithc to make sure youre doing all you can to make sure I wasn't left stranded which speaks for itself and your character. JP has been me and my family s mechanic for a couple of years. I have never had someone so honest and upfront when it comes to issues with my vehicle(s). He never tries to upsell and only fixes the problems at hand. He has treated me and my family very well; nothing but respect. I will always appreciate his hard work and kindness. If I could rate him 10 stars, I would.

2weeks ago I take my Corvette to this auto shop. My Car making noise. They told me only one Mcanic work on GM Car but at times he is not around & and hard to fix my Car. But everybody is kind and very helpful to talk to me. Good choice to go

Amazing experience with this mechanic, he helped me out with a mystery diagnosis after swapping my transmission and got everything rolling in a timely manner so I could have my vehicle back for work. Buckle up, this is long. We dropped off our car on February for a fender bender issue. Was told it would be a few weeks. After a few weeks of nothing, our insurance rental car time was up. JP lent us a white Ford truck (which was completely unregistered). Then he switched it for an old BMW, which was not even in his name. He then switched that for an old Honda that leaked all over our driveway, could barely run, & HAD SOMEONE S ASHES IN THE BACK SEAT! Mind you, this car also broke down on the highway. There were a few other cars he gave us, but the majority of them were either unregistered or not in his name. This took place over the course of nine months, which is how long he took to fix our bumper. We were so patient at first, but every few weeks he d tell us, it ll be done by X date. Then X date would roll around & we would hear NOTHING from him. He wouldn t be at his shop. He wouldn t answer his phone. Nothing. At one point, he gave our car to a whole different shop & didn t even inform us of it. This owner has NO concept of time, responsibility, or care for the clients. The worst is him constantly straight up lying to us for nine months, over & over. We would have to drive all the way to his shop & practically babysit to make sure stuff was getting done. I have no idea how this shop is still in business with their lack of professional. We contacted our insurance AND lawyers towards the last few months. I had taken my truck to the dealership and they were going to charge me $5000 which wouldn t have even fixed my issues but Jay fixed my truck, addressed the issue and didn t charge me nearly as much as the dealership was going to charge. He explained the issue with my truck and had it done within 48 hours. Professional and an expert, I highly recommend.

Wow...this was probably the most honest and straight forward service I've ever received. I chose this place because it was right next to my house and had outstanding reviews. Took my 2014 Jeep Patriot in for my throttle control warning light coming on. He saw me the same day I called asking about it. He got my part replaced and also ran a diagnostic on the rest of my car to offer advice on things that need attention soon.So many times you get these big chain auto shops that try to sell you on things you dont need or say its URGENT but then double the price. I've had shops "show me" something of mine that needed to be replaced and it wasnt even my part. So it makes people feel distrustful going to auto shops.JP automotive was above and beyond in helping me with my car. I will definitely recommend them to anyone I know needed auto service and I won't go anywhere else for my car now.

I have now had the pleasure of working with JP and Sky on multiple pieces of service for my vehicles from replacing motor mounts to brake jobs. While pleasure and servicing vehicles don't typically go hand-in-hand, JP Automotive goes a long way to deliver on that experience. I hadn't had the opportunity to write my review until just now although the work they completed for me was a little over a month ago. I was immediately impressed and struck by their courteous, no pressure diagnostics, the honesty in their assessment of my vehicle's needs, along with the fair pricing on their estimate. That alone would've have warranted a great experience, but combined with the exceptional work and timely manner in which they performed that work, they have cemented themselves as the only automotive shop I will use for my vehicle's needs in the future. The advantage of not immediately writing a review is that I can write this with the added benefit and full knowledge of having driven my vehicle for some time now with their repairs. The quality of their work has not only held up, but has provided me with a worry free comfort knowing my vehicle was given top notch service. I have a break job and a tune up that I will be needing on another vehicle in the near future and there is no doubt that I will trusting JP Automotive to handle that for me. Thanks JP Automotive for standing out in an industry that can be hard to find a trusted source and standing up for your customers and quality work!

JP Automotive has worked on four of our automobiles. They rebuilt the transmission on a 1996 Mercury Marquis which we just drove to Houston, Tx with no problem. We drove the vehicle in SA 300 miles before taking it to Houston without any problem. They replaced the brakes on our 2003 Tahoe without any problems, serviced our 1981 Corvette. JP provided advice and assistance over the phone with our Corvette when my husband has questions regarding some electrical issues. They just gave our 1999 Riviera a tune up and serviced air conditioning.In this business we found integrity, hard work, dedication and the amount quoted upon diagnostic visit was the same as when we picked up our vehicles. The majority of the time, our vehicles were ready the same day. If any additional work was needed, we were consulted first. This is the way a business should be run. These guys sold me some rims and tires at a great price. Very kind, professional and knowledgeable. Offered me a jack and a bottle of cold water. Thank you guys! Here's a before/after of my beater car. To bad I live in Copperas Cove or I'd see you guys more often lol.

My ford Sports trac was shifting hard I had taken it to 3 other shops and was told that after diagnostics I needed a transmission rebuild or replaced costing big $$$ that I didn t have a friend suggested that I try JP Automotive He suggested a transmission service now my gear are shifting normally Thank You JPYour honesty, integrity , knowledge of your craft and work ethic have truly blessed me.I will always recommend your shop to all my family and friends. JP automotive owner will try to take all of your money. He fixed my car 3 times, kept my car more than 3 weeks, took me $1200. But the problem is still there when I get my car diagnose at AutoZone. He just threw bad words, disrespectful attitude, showed uneducated behavior, and blame all the problem to the Toyota parts. Very low business standard. We had JP Automotive replace our rear wheel bearings and break pads with a break fluid flush. We were very impressed with his professionalism. The auto body shop was secure and the value was superb! Our services were much more affordable than at the dealership which we really appreciated. We will definitely be returning for any future auto body needs!Service: Brakes

Hands down the best auto repair shop i ve been to. JP and his staff are excellent and made me feel comfortable. JP is a very kind soul and knowledgable about his trade. His professionalism and kindness are highly notable My first experience with JP Was when my cruise control wasnt working and i had to leave the following morning for a trip i couldnt postpone. He went above and beyond on his totally booked day and repaired my vehicle that day! His pricing was great. Now with another vehicle i had some noise from under the hood and engine oil everywhere. JP diagnosed the problems quickly and made the necessary repairs his pricing again was very fair. I will definitely continue to take my car to JP in the future. This review is long over due. A few months ago I was having major issues with my car like it turned out I needed a whole new engine. JP Automotive was one of the in-network facilities my warranty works with so I'm very thankful I chose this place! Jay went above and beyond, he's one of the most honest mechanics I've met here in town. I never had to call and get an update, he'd always call to keep me posted on the work on my car. So thanks again Jay! I will be bringing my car here from now on.

The owner failed to fix my car 3 times at a cost of $1200. He is more than a thief. He refused to fix my car again and blame me for ignore the car. He is rude, impolite, and low skill. He always finds excuse for himself. I had an old car that needed work and they promised they could help fix it.After a couple thousands of dollars later the car ended up having an issue with the fuel pump. They didn't mention it nor told me this stuff could happen only after I paid and left my baby (car) on their hands.Of course it's going to cost me more money. Money I don't have. I'm incredibly disappointed with this shop. And their unprofessionalism. I can't go lower than 1 star but I guess this will have to do.

I highly recommend this shop, the people are great, super nice, eager to help, extremely knowledgeable, and they do go above and beyond, not to mention very affordable!!!! I took my 87' Chevy truck in to them to swap out the engine with a newer one, the service was fast and fantastic! They definitely exceeded my expectations. They kept me updated and informed me on every detail, I was so happy with the outcome I cried happy tears! I will always go to them from now on for all my mechanic needs on all my vehicles! You will not be sorry doing business with these guys! Nice convenient location, secure, and Jay and Grant are the most trustworthy people in the industry hands down! If you live far away.. It's worth the trip to get work done by these guys! I truly could not be happier!

Brought my car in for some minor engine work, the owner greeted me and explained what was going to happen. Work was done quickly and was extremely cheaper than I had expected. Upon picking up my car, the owner walked me through what was done, and even pointed out a minor issue that I was unaware of (small crack in my radiator). So, I had them swap a new radiator in (also done extremely quickly) and now my car is in tip-top shape. Very happy with the service and would highly recommend these guys to my friends and family. If I need future work, I know where I'll be going

JP Automotive gets the job done. They are very competent---and their prices and quality work keep bringing back their loyal customers. They are very honest and they produce quality over quantity. They can also tint windows and install anything the high end shops install at a fraction of the cost. I have been using them for a few years with confidence because they never dissapoint. Their consistent integrity has earned my business and trust.

Very disrespectful and rude owner. He is a liar and thief. He will try to take all your money without fixing the issue. I gave my car to him for 3 weeks and paid him in full early. He failed to fix my car 3 times and refused to give me back the money. You will waste time and money to work with this guy.

JP and his staff did a great job diagnosing some issues on my 2006 Subaru Impreza on a couple of occasions. His prices are good and you can tell he cares about the community and doing good work. I even caught JP after hours and he took the time to help me out. Thanks JP!

JP Automotive not only did an amazing job but also changed my spark plugs in less than an hour while saving me over $300!! I'd definitely go to him first for any car maintenance. Unlike the BMW dealership, he actually cares about his customers and has extremely fair pricing!

I took my car to JP to get my ac lines evacuated and recharged, JP had me in and out in 30 mins! I called the big name companies and was quoted twice the amount that JP offered. This will be the only shop I use from now on. Do yourself a favor, if you need work done on your car, give him call! Just make sure to push the AC button on to get power to your compressor...
