My family and I have been using German Car Specialist since they opened. We have owned most German manufacturers and have needed almost any services you could think of. They are exceptional in the work they do and are upfront and honest in their assessment of work needed. They are the best dealer alternative for your German vehicle. We recently bought a used Audi A3 and and we're so glad we found German Car Specialists. Berk, the owner, helped us out on several occasions. The diagnosis and repairs were made quickly - no issues with parts or service delays, and the car was fixed right. Berk is so easy to work with -- he's upfront, honest and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

German Car Specialist has the #1 Audi technicians and repair experts in San Antonio. This is the first time in 20yrs I've met an owner who has more knowledge and facts than every dealership service department in the city... Great job

Often times I work on my own car as I have been burned in the past by dishonest mechanics. However, I m willing to admit when to leave a job for a professional and made the choice to bring it to Berk.I had a leaky water pump assembly and he was able to give me a prompt estimate and appointment scheduled. Upon meeting him, he was very personable and had a clear attention to detail. He took the time to send a picture of where it was leaking on the thermostat assembly (see picture), which is much appreciated when the curtain is lifted a little behind a shop s work and the progress on your car.All in all, the service was great, the work was great, and the price was right. I will for sure recommend this shop to all of my other euro friends.

I brought my A6 in running rough and with an oil leak. The guys were fantastic with timely and clear communication and got me back on the road the same day running perfectly! I cannot recommend these guys highly enough

I never write reviews, however I felt one was warranted in this situation based on the great experience I had.I took my wife's Audi to the dealership for an annual service (previously I had exclusively taken it to the dealership as this is what I've always done with my Fords). I was told there was a leak that needed to be fixed but wanted to get a second opinion due to the high (in my opinion) price that they were estimating.I found German Car Specialists on google and was able to make an appointment within a week. They able to get me in, fix the issue, and charged an extremely reasonable price. Bonus, their messaging/estimate system they used through text was great and made the process so much easier as it eliminated the need to call to follow up (which is always inconvenient while at work).This was probably the best car repair experience I have ever had on any vehicle I've owned. I will definitely be back next year for our service!

German Car Specialists is in my opinion the premier shop for services and mechanical repairs of German cars. From personal experience with my 2005 Audi I can say that going to Berk s shop is far better in terms of quality and value than any of the local Audi dealers. With an old car like mine, it's bad enough to find parts but it's hard to find a shop with the skills to make repairs. Berk and his team really know German cars. I have a 2013 BMW Z4 28i with the turbocharged 4 cylinder N20 engine at 79,000 miles. It was making a whining noise and a check engine light on, I knew it was going to need significant repairs.I looked around and found German Car Specialists and decided to give them a try instead of the dealer. I love my Z4 and plan on keeping it a long time and wanted any repairs to be done right and at a reasonable cost. From the very first call I could tell they were BMW experts and customer focused, willing to answer and discuss all of my questions. It turned out I needed a new intake manifold, not such a simple job on the N20, and then they discovered my timing chain was very loose and it needed to be replaced as well, a common issue on the N20, and also not a simple job.Berk and Mark kept me informed as they did the work, sending progress pictures and showing me the engine codes and explained what they were doing and why all along the way. They did a great job, my Z4 is running better than it ever has! And considering the complexity of the job and parts they did it a reasonable cost. I highly recommend!

Berk and his expert team of specialists took great care of our Porsche Macan S and provided excellent customer service. I have been going to German Car Specialists for all our Porsche service needs for 4 years, and they consistently do great work. Recently the vehicle needed more extensive work due to an oil leak, and they diagnosed and repaired it in a timely manner. He also graciously worked with our extended warranty company for payment. Berk always provides expert, detailed descriptions of the work and is available to advise on all vehicle issues. I contacted German Car Specialists to have my catback exhaust system replaced. Berk was very accommodating and gave me an estimate that was very reasonable. He even went the extra mile when I asked him to take a couple of before and after photos. Work was done quickly and professionally. I will definitely be coming back for any of my German car needs in the future!

I was purchasing a 996 and was meeting the seller in San Antonio. I researched 3 separate shops in the area and got quotes on the specific services I needed following the purchase, including the IMS retrofit. This was by far the most fair priced and transparent quote I received since every detail was itemized. They also accommodated my scheduling. Everything went smooth and the car runs like a top. I am very pleased with their work and professionalism. I recommend them to everyone in the area.

I was looking for a good mechanic for my Porsche to do the routine maintenance for and was lucky enough to find German Car Specialists. As soon as I walked in and talked to the owner, I knew I was talking to someone that was honest and passionate about cars and the work that his shop performs. Their prices are fair and reasonable (esp compared to the outrageous price the dealership charges) and the work is excellent.Service: General repairs & maintenance

This small service repair shop has the best service and unbeatable prices! I found German Car Specialists unexpectedly while searching for a repair shop to fix some issues on my 2010 Audi A4. I was pleasantly surprised when Berk gave me a price to repair all 8 control arms and an oil change that was hundreds less then another well known premier repair shop in San Antonio. I dropped my car off at 8am and was called a little after 1pm telling me my car was ready. I was so pleased with this, I took my car back to have the water pump replaced and A/C fixed. Again, they were more than fair on the price and the service was outstanding! was a great experience.. I have an 08 jetta that one day just dogged out on me ... Berk over there help me out greatly with getting my problem resovled as quickly as Corona would allow..... and to make matters even funner.. on my way home my car ended having another issue completely separate from the first and I made it home.. but the car was unable to make the return trip ..... so Berk went as far as getting my car towed back over to his shop and got me up and running the following day..... my car has been running like a champ ever sense .... totally would recommend this shop to any European car owners...

I chose this business to service my 2012 BMW 535i based on reviews and was very impressed. They are professional, fast, and not interested in getting over on customers. The dealership was trying to get over on me claiming I needed a 7k repair but when i researched my car didn't have the issues associated with the repair. I highly recommend them and will continue to.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

This place is awesome. I've had a few issues with my 535i and haven't had anyone give a breakdown and tell me a game plan that was as accurate as this place. I recently took my car to the local BMW to have them look at it and German car specialist did a much better job on finding the issue in a short period of time. And the price is much cheaper than the dealership. They were very courteous, professional, and confident in their ability to fix my issue. This will be the only shop I take my BMW to from here on out.

My 2015 Audi Q3 has almost 90K miles and needed carbon intake cleaning. I searched and called a few places to get an estimate and after reading the great reviews, I decided to go with Berk and his team at German Car Specialists. All I can say is this, if you have an Audi, this is the go to shop for service and repairs. Berk and his team are professionals in every way, from customer service to doing the a great job on the car and doing it in a timely manner. My Q3 runs smooth and like new again. I have been going to German Car Specialists for two years. Berk runs a professional, courteous and superb operation. He is honest and direct, and I don't believe he has ever done anything that wasn't necessary as for as a repair. I fully trust him with my Porsche.Truthfully, if you own a German Car, I can't imagine why someone would take it anywhere else. I have been to other German car repair shops throughout San Antonio, and by far, this place is the best. You can definitely trust them to do great quality and fix exactly what needs to be fixed. And VERY REASONABLE on prices of repairs.Of course, I will definitely be coming back. If it wasn't for this place, I probably would not own a Porsche. With this shop, I have found it is less expensive to maintain my Porsche than it is to maintain my Ford F150 and Chevy Tahoe, and all three exceed 100,000 miles. This place makes me want to own nothing but German vehicles. If Porsche made a truck, I would buy it immediately and sell my F150 overnight because of this shop.There is absolutely no reason to go to anywhere else other than this German Car Repair Shop.

Great service and polite staff. Had a new clutch and flywheel installed in my GTI in 5 hours. They noticed my car was low on oil and added oil as well. Easy to set up an appointment. Would highly recommend you take your German cars here, these guys know their stuff. I know I'll be taking my car here from now on.

Great overall experience each and every time I have dropped off my S5 for routine service. So glad I found this business online a year ago. Berk and his guys are the best in the business and will take great care of your German auto. Very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable people! I feel totally satisfied when I pick up my vehicle knowing that my service was done correct! Highly recommended!!!

Had my Audi serviced here. Miscommunication on my part had them replace some filters that I replaced myself a few weeks earlier. They scheduled me back same day, reimbursed the filter costs, and added a complimentary service. Very satisfied with their customer service and timeliness.
