After drop-off and checking in with front desk, they forgot about my vehicle.The awesome store manager, Fabian, apologized and offered to refund me a portion of my invoice! Wonderful manager and excellent Discount Tire location. I highly recommend without reservation!!

TLDR: Bad signage = terrible experience.All I wanted was to get my tires checked on my lunch break. I drive a lot and my last tires were from Discount Tire off De Zavala on 1/24/2022. I've never been to this location so I called at 9am this morning to confirm they do air checks. The guy said they do and to�go to the back. When I get there, there's nothing going on in the back. At the De Zavala location, the air check�area is obvious with signs and cones. There were cones at this location, but far enough off they seemed unrelated to where I eventually found out the air check area is.The store is busy so it took 9 minutes before an employee could explain�where I should go. Okay, so I pull in behind a car and the employee there comes over to tell me that the line starts in the back by the cones and I was cutting in line. I asked about the lack of signs and he said there are signs by the cones. See my photo for what it looks like when you drive in. No signs. You'd have to drive up to the cones and around the side to maybe see a sign. I didn't go over and check though. I was also annoyed from another incident when I was inside- a lady was picking up her car and I guess not happy about the charges. I heard her say, "Well, I ASKED!" loudly and walk off to get something from her car. The employee at the next register said 'Karen,' and another employee and customer laughed. She was just upset, not acting entitled over anything and berating people. I know I've been upset at auto shop pricing before.I left and on my way up the access road saw that the Brake Check next door does free air checks and I was in and out of there in less than 5 minutes. I'm not mad at Discount Tire for being busy. I'm mad that the whole service experience was so poor- the location should use visible signage for the air check,employees should not mock customers, and they should greet you when you enter and possibly ask a quick what are you here for so they know where to funnel you.So, I'm seeking recommendations for locally-owned tire shops with decent service. :)

My usual tire shop. They price matched a Yokohama tire I found online but was not listed on their site. But they apparently had them and got them there same day and was able to stop in and get them done on my F-Type within what seemed like 30min. No fuss no muss.

Found a screw in my tire on my birthday of all days. Hunter helped me tremendously and was just very honest and down to earth. While my tire couldn t be fixed due to its condition, he did help me out with a new set which they needed anyway. Thanks again!

Went to this location in my company car on 04/12/24 with a nail in my tire. I spoke to a young man by the name of Christian and advised him I was in a bit of time crunch and asked if they could repair it quikly. He got someone on it right then and I was back on the road in 15 minutes. Top notch service!

++ Military discount ++ Went in here with intention of getting some tires ended up with some rims and tires for less then it would cost for the rims I had on the car. Mikey the best salesman in the world, took time with me listened, walked around and checked the tires. Don t let the larger number of people at the place Deter you from getting it done that day. They put the rims on my car in less than 20 minutes. Definitely going back to him for my truck this place is awesome thank you guys did in 20 minutes and I ate at Jim s restaurant by the time I was done the car was ready thanks again.

Called and spoke with the manager Adrian, he was able to set aside tires and set a time for me to come in. Both Adrian and The associate, Will took care of all the details once I arrived. Great customer service, very professional even with having a ton of customers!It s not the closest one to my home but will definitely use this location again..

I ve been to Firestone once and I ll never go back!!!!!! This place is amazing!!!!! Super friendly! I had a blowout and they are covering the tire under warranty. They came out to meet me before I even got to the door. Great customer service!!!! So much better than Firestone!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks guys!!!!!

These guys provided me awesome service today. I called to confirm availability of some tires, Curtis confirmed and set me up a service time. Parking lot and lobby were slammed with people, but Christopher got me set up ASAP and they managed to get my new tires installed and get me on my way within an hour. Appreciate the efficiency and highly recommend calling to set a service time to avoid a long wait!

Went in a couple of weeks ago (early December 2023). I thought I was experiencing a sales tactic, but in reality they were actually worried about my safety and worked with me.I think this discount tire is going to be my tire shop for all my vehicles here on out. They were genuine, customer focused, and reasonable. Something you wouldn't expect from ANY chain!

I pulled up to the Helotes discount tire at 15 minutes past closing time with a screw in one of my tires and one of the folks saw my issue, came out remove the tire, plugged it and replaced it at no charge. Outstanding customer service!! I have used these folks before, and will continue to use them and highly recommend them

They tell you that if your tier has a nail in it they'll fix it for free. But really every time I try to have this done they take the tier off and give some reason they can't put it back on and that they can't let you leave unless you buy a new tier. I feel like they hold your car hostage until you buy a tier from them. Trust me don't go to them unless you need a tier. Also, their prices went up.

Back in a state with Discount Tires and am so happy! Got a great set of tires from Christopher and when they were changing out the old ones, the lug nuts were very, vey worn (thanks Matthew)!Durango drives like brand new!!!

Went to this location to purchase a set of new tires for my vehicle; which i had already discussed with an associate last week. upon arriving "Joe greeted me and remembered discussing the tires i was interested in. I also need 2 flats repaired for my farm UTV (which they have repaired in the past i.e. 2022). Joe went into the office and "spoke with whomever" and then informed me that the DOT stamp was out of range and them proceeded to show me on the internet warning regarding my tires being out of said range of repair. Mind you its; a farm UTV; does not need to be road worthy due to the fact that its always off road; hence the "farm utv", so instead of helping me they would rather sell me new utv tires ~1200-1300$ and colleting the pending purchase of the tires for my "road worthy vehicle ~700$. they let me leave! plus i needed new tractor tires coming up this week ~1500-1800$ that i would have spent but since they are greedy; i am forced to go to "BIGO tires"; they not only fixed my 2 flats; and sold me the tires for my car but they ordered my tractor tires at a discount all due to the greed of yall.since i am a farmer here in helotes and most of my neighbors are ; you know to rule "word of mouth"!

My husbands wheel was bent (unknown reason) and Ben and Javier were so incredibly helpful finding new rims that fit the style and price range my husband was wanting without haggling us!! They even worked to find the rims as close as possible to get them in the truck ASAP. This discount tire is top notch customer service, quality, and efficiency.

These guys are great. I've had bad experiences in the past that make it hard for me to trust mechanics, but these guys have definitely earned my trust. I was skeptical about a repair they said I needed, but they were able to show me why which is important to me.

The staff at this location are the best! They explained the issues with my wheels very clearly and even took me to the back to show me an example on my tires. Beto was very patient and worked with me to get a great deal!! I was very impressed with their efficiency and manners throughout my visit.

Dropped off tire Monday morning. Wasn t told when tire would arrive. Called Friday to check status, tire had arrived and needed to be mounted. Lack of communication is the killer. Got me in and out bolted up in less than 15mins. I would prefer not to be driving on a 10yr old spare for such time.

In San Antonio for business, came out to get in my car and the low tire light was on. This Discount Tire was only 3 miles from where I was working. Nice! Matthew was my service advisor. He checked all 4 tires which I knew were worn and came up with an affordable solution to get 4 new tires and get me back on the road. Although they were busy I was done in an hour. Discount Tire is where I always go for new tires. The free rotation they do is also very convenient. And services and professionalism is the same at every location I have visited.UPDATED:Next AM low tire pressure light is on. Going to a different Discount Tire. Wait is not good, need to head home. Appears they put a tire with a nail in it from my front right onto the spare. Went to another location for the fix.

Always great service, I go here because i know they are going to do it right. The quality of there info and experience. Just purchased a new set of Tires. God forbid you leave something valuable in your car here. I have been a loyal customer for 10+ years. One of their techs stole my kids Nintendo Switch. I m 99.9% sure as nobody else had access to my vehicle but them, and I ve made sure it wasn t elsewhere. Manager didn t seem to really care much and they told me they don t have cameras. Filed a police report.They messed up my rims once at this location too, but they owned up to it and repaired it so kudos for that. Unfortunately due to this incident, Discount Tire has lost a loyal customer. Beware if you bring your vehicle here. One of their techs is a thief and they don t care to figure out who it is.

So let me preface by saying that I bought my tires and made an appointment online. So my experience might be different than others for those reasons. I was in and out of the store in less than 30 min. I knew exactly what I was paying and overall, the process was very smooth. The people there were very efficient and I did not feel at all uncomfortable like I do at some other tire/mechanic shops. I would definitely recommend this place for those reasons but I have no experience at this location with patching tires/replacing a warrantied tire/airing up/ or showing up without an appointment. I was there at 3pm and it was fairly busy. Lots of staff though, and seats. The parking lot is a little awkward and it is at an incline so be aware of that going in. Overall, great experience.

I had a nail on my tire. The guys inspected all the tires. They gave me a diagnostic on the ones need to be replaced. We agreed to bring it back on January. The tire was fix quick and at no cost

I used to go there very frequently during the summer months and some time prior, not just for me, but for the company i work for.Now, I drive a big truck with a sound system. And during SUMMER i was always blasting my system with my windows down.Well my last visit a few months ago, i got told to never come back by a manager. Because apparently as a girl im a distraction to his workers (i did not speak unless i was spoken to and was never in skimpy clothing). Now I can t even go to the closest discount tire, to buy new tires for my truck because I am a girl? If I could give zero stars i would.

My wife went in to get new tires. And reported that the customer service was top notch. Christopher was courteous and very helpful. He was knowledgeable and provided professional response to helping us resolve our issue. Thank you, Christopher, for your professionalism. Also, whomever installed the tires did it much faster than expected. Would highly recommend using this location for your tire needs.

Received excellent service!I m not sure whether there s been a change in management since my last visit but the customer service was neat perfect.I so appreciated Logan s professionalism and discretion everyone in the store does not need to hear or know the issues customers are experiencing Logan spoke to me without broadcasting the conversation to the entire store.Christian brought my car out once the service was completed; he was incredibly polite and provided some information about what had been done as he walked me to my car Very impressed and pleased
