Thank you to Johnny and Danny at D & S Garage for keeping my 2002 F350 running for all these years! They recently did a lot of work to keep this truck on the road and they continue to go above and beyond with service. Quick turn around times are appreciated, too. First place I call when I need it. I brought my car in for a repair another shop said was necessary and the mechanics at D & G said it wasn t needed. All they ended up doing for me was an oil change. I was so impressed with their honesty that it is the only shop I will take my car to in the future. It was a great experience!!!!!!!!

Folks there are professional, friendly, and down to earth. Kudos to Johnny and Kevin especially! My Silverado 2500HD with 260,000 miles is running like a new truck thanks to there repair and maintenance. I am positive it will go to 1M miles as long as they are here.Highly recommended.Btw, bring the doughnuts and tip any dude (or dudette is there dudette in there btw?) whenever you bring your car. Just a common gesture of appreciations goes long way folks.Rae

This place totally up charges you!!!Beware they double the price of parts and they re NOT OEM.I have a Ram truck and had the 60k service done.They use wix filters and charged double the mopar price. Their labor was extremely exaggerated as I know how much time it takes to change filters, especially a crank case filter, like 20 minutes and I should have done it myself.Avoid this place or be up charged to the moon.Ripoffs!!!! As you can see my bill was ove $1200.00 when it should have been roughly $600.00. Beware people!!!Update 9/27/23:Just had my transmission serviced at the local dealership. Tech informed me that my transmission filter was stamped 2015 , the same year as my truck, meaning they lied about changing it even though they charged me for a new filter as you can see on page two of the photos.Avoid, avoid, avoid this place!!!!

highly recommend these guys. worked with me on my 96 ford 7.3 diesel van and did great work at a reasonable price. they were honest with me and gave me good insight before going ahead. i then had them work on my old 02 f350 diesel truck. again great job, no unnecessary repairs, and reasonable price.where my trucks are concerned i want someone that knows what they are doing, especially with my diesels. that's these guys.

I had an alignment done and had a clunking sound about a week Iater. I decided to remove my tire and inspect and found that the lower control arm bolts were so loose they would have fallen out had I driven any more on it. Luckily I caught it in time.I decided to go ahead and rate D&S a 3 star because of their willingness to correct the problem and redo my alignment for free.Unfortunatly, my confidence in them is shot. You only get one chance to make a first impression. Very friendly and helpful staff though...just double check their work is my recommendation.

Edited review: I brought my truck in for a leveling kit install and alignment. I scheduled my Monday 8am appointment on a Friday after noon due to being quoted about $200 less than another company. I arrive on Monday to drop off my truck for a 3 hour job and am told it'll be ready by 4pm (8hours) and it'll be $230 more than what I was quoted. After minimal back and forth with the desk attendant, the price went down $150. I call around 330 monday and I am told my truck is almost done and come to get it. I arrive and my truck is no where near done, and whats worse is one of the employees tell me the aligmment machine had been down since Friday, when he serviced his buddies truck. So why schedule someone for a job and start a job you cannot complete? OK, no worries, they install leveling kit by working late (to which I am grateful for them going the extra mile). I call the next day and they are able to squeeze me in (same day) to come back to align the wheels. After a lot of wait, even working past closing time, my truck was done and beautiful. While I sat waiting for my truck to finish, I observed 4 customers thanking D&S Garage and they all seemed to be loyal customers, which shows D&S Garage cares about their customers which has been demonstrated amazingly by Steves feedback and concern for my experience. I have discussed all concerns with Steve, to which i believe he will ensure more smooth processes going forward.

D & S Garage and Diesel Service gets my highest 5 star rating for offering good auto repair at a reasonable price. There are many auto repair shops along the US Highway 281 corridor from the airport north up to Bulverde. This corridor includes auto shops a few miles to the west or east of 281 as well as directly on the feeders of 281. D & S is just west of the highway. In the past few years, I have tried at least five other shops in this area before finding D & S. For one reason or another, I did not use them again. Either outrageously high prices, bad diagnosis, overkill recommendations for work that did not need to be done, etc. The I found D & S and am completely satisfied with their work. In my experience, they are very honest and competent. Which is why I will continue to give them all of my business.

In 30 years of driving and taking cars in for service I have not found a better shop than D&S. The owner is engaged and has a great staff from the manager to the shop porter. They are personable and don't try to talk down to their customers, they make the process very comfortable.I took my 2013 Ram 2500 in to have the heater core replaced and have some codes checked. The codes turned out to be a bad sensor that needed to be replaced. The project with replacing the heater core was unfortunately a lengthy one but the shop let me know that in advance and kept me informed as the time passed. When I picked up the truck they were very honest and told me they had to remove the entire dash, drop the steering wheel and remove most of the components on the passenger side of the engine bay and due to this there may be some rattles or things that needed to be addressed once it was driven for a while. They told me to just bring it back and they would take care of any of those issues and did just that. A few issues came up after driving the truck for a while but they were very welcoming when I returned and took care of the problems promptly.It's hard to find an honest shop focused on the customer however D&S is it and despite living on the other side of town, I will continue to visit them for my vehicle service needs in the future.

This place sucks took a whole 11 months for my car to fixed they kept holding off cause they were to damm lazy to actually fix it and would have rather relaxed when they we re strictly paid by insurance to fix it these guys suck just total your car rather then let these guys fix it -that guy Johnny sucks at his job .the guy kept lying about fixing it when I would pass by they were in the office

I recommend D & S Garage for any Diesel repairs! They made sure my F-250 was 100% before turning over the keys. Truck went in limp mode because of a bad DEF pump, Although it took a little longer than expected they wanted to make sure everything was done right. Thank y all again!

I had an alignment done on my Toyota Camry today and they did a great job. Not only did they provide exceptional customer service but they also made sure that there were no issues after the procedure and explained everything thoroughly. Definitely recommend their services!

Took my truck in for a check engine light. After a diagnostic, they notified me what was found and the price up front. Had to take my truck back after it was fixed, but it was not due to any of the work that had been done. Something else entirely. But great work, very professional. Called me and kept me up to date while my truck was getting fixed. Over all a great experience. Highly recommend this spot. They take care of business.

I have a F-350 with a 6.7L diesel and accidently put some DEF fluid in my fuel tank. I was unaware how how potentially damaging this could be to the fuel system. I drove the truck for 30 mins to get home. The warning for "water in fuel" came on as I was driving home, but the truck was still running normally. After doing some research I found out that I should not have driven the truck at all, and needed to have it towed to a shop immediately. I contacted two shops and was told that they would need to have the fuel tank cleaned out the rest of fuel system replaced. Cost estimates were $16k and $19K. I contacted D&S and spoke to Matt who said that they have experienced a fair amount of success with thoroughly cleaning out the existing fuel system and then testing it. The other shops did not mention this as an option. The truck was in the shop for two days when I got the good news that the the clean up was successful. I dodged a bullet and my repair cost was 1/10th what an new fuel system would cost. THANKS to the very competent folks at D&S.

A business owner friend who has a fleet of work trucks recommended D&S to me. I have used them for repair work great and small! I can t say enough good things about this garage!They are honest, reasonable and dependable! They will continue to receive all my business and I would recommend them to anyone who needs a good mechanic!

Update: I have been bring my cars to the guys at D&S for a few years. They keep my car running great. They are always reasonably priced. They are truly the only people I trust with my cars. Will continue using them.Eli and everyone here are awesome. They kept my 2002 Hyundai running great and at a reasonable price. I recently purchased a new car and I know they will do a great job keeping this car running great as well.

We had the greatest experience with this garage. I felt they were courteous, friendly and very knowledgeable. Our repairs needed were a higher priced repair on our personal & business vehicle. We had gotten another quote that was several hundred higher. I'm glad I found this garage.

I came to San Antonio for family Business. The serpentine belt shredded on my 2013 Dodge Ram 3500. I talking to Steve on the phone for a few minutes, and by the time we got done talking, I knew I came to the right place. I got the truck to the shop and they hard me out of there and back on the road in one day. They are top notch quality garage service. They know how to fix diesel trucks very well. Thanks guy s

Very pleased with the work performed on my 2004 Chevy Tracker. AC cools great, new struts really improved the ride. Turned in my 2000 Ford F550 to have a oil leak repaired. Again excellent work. Highly recommend D & S Garage and Diesel for any auto or truck repairs..

Had a fuel leak that I was able to patch up but knew it wouldnt last on my duramax. Was referred to D&S by a chevy dealership of all places. Got my truck back the next day which I was very happy Danny replaced my fuel line. Very professional shop all around.Will be going back for my vehicle needs

A discount tire shop recommended I go to D&S Garage as I didn t know where to take my car. The customer service is excellent. Leo is very helpful and found the best priced part for my vehicle. He s very professional and I was informed that the technicians have years of experience. They seem very dedicated and proficient.

Anytime I need work done on my vehicles I go to this place. I am always greeted as soon as I walk through the door. The mechanics are always fast and friendly. And they do great quality work. I was referred to D & S Garage and Diesel after a simple visit to Discount tire became a $200 surprise! My car was pulling side ways and my front tires needed replacement. I was told to check my cars Alignment. I called and they offer a Free Alignment check, I was able to drive from Discount tire to D&S.I was a about to turn back and ask my boyfriend to take care of this, but I decided to go and get it done since it was more of a safety issue.I have to admit I was extremely happy when I opened the door, I walked into a cozy clean waiting area, TV coffee and magazines. I was so comfortable I even added an oil change.The staff was professional and fast, got me out of their before 4pm. I will be visiting D&S on a regular to get my cars oil change. Thank you guys.

Friendly, knowledgeable team. I brought my 14 Ram 2500 here for an electrical issue and during our conversation they understood that I was about to tow 2k + miles to Moab. Not only did they fix the electrical issue, they ran a full diagnostic, and installed a transmission cooler for my trip. I picked up my truck on a Friday and that following week made several long distance trips and my truck ran better than it had before with no sign of the previous electrical problems. To top it off, a week after the work was completed the owner contacted me to just make sure I was satisfied. D&S Garage has now earned all my business.
