I'm so happy with my experience here - I got my oil changed at another business and they tried to scare me saying my car was in "critical condition" and I came to colony car care to get a check up and see if there were any issues that needed my attention. John checked out my car and he assured me my car was fine - I'm so relieved. I'm pretty sure this is also a small local business, so I want to make sure I support local Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

The service was good but the billing can surprise you. I got charged $50 for coolant. Couldn't get any more info. The best coolants go for $20. And their labor is expensive and unclear.

Went here to get a diagnosis on my vehicle. Turns out the motor was bad and they do not replace motors. But, John was very knowledgeable and courteous. He didnt charge me for the diagnosis and let me store my car there for free until I could have it towed.They have been at this location many years and have an excellent reputation in the community.Update: Been having issues with my two tires the last month. Slow leak in both. Had to save $ to get the tires replaced. John let me swing by every few days to fill the tires up. Always took care of me right away. Super nice guy. I would recommend this car care spot to anyone.It's been over three years since my previous review!!!

It's my second time using Colony Car Care and John is such a nice, honest, knowledgeable mechanic. Both times John took my car in that day and had it fixed by the end of the day. I'm very happy that I have found John and Colony Car Care. Nice having someone that you trust in a time of need. THANKS JOHN!!!

So I took my car to the shop. Spoke with John who is supposed to be the lead mechanic. And honestly I felt like I was a burden. It was as though he didn t want to hear me explain what was wrong with my car. And I felt rushed. I understand these guys have work to do, but I believe in treating the customers with respect. Anyways, my car wasn t starting and it was clearly an electrical issue. John assured me that it couldn t be that and that he would take a look at the throttle for some reason. I came back the next day and was charged $100 for him to clean my throttle. He said that there should be no issues. Literally hours later my car shut off again while driving. I went to another mechanic and all he did was clean my batteries terminals. Charged $30. And my car is running great. No more issues. Save your money and go to an honest and courteous mechanic! I went with Cruzrs Auto Mechanic!

Very nice staff and clean garage. The men I dealt with were very helpful. However, I had to come back twice for my issue: overheating car/ leaking coolant.Ultimately the issue was resolved, but it made me 2hrs late for work one day.Also, their estimate for fixing my A/C which was $800+ seemed a bit too high so I didn t take them up on it.

Brought my car in leaking transmission fluid. John identified the problem on the spot and had it fixed in a short amount of time and at a affordable price. Good, honest guys work there.Will use again as needed and recommend.

Won t answer and the voicemail of a system standard greeting with just the number is not what you want when you call a business

We have been lucky to have Ernest to work on my Toyota vehicles. While my father was alive Ozzie assisted him with his car and they have continued taking extremely good care of my mother. These men are like family and are extremely honest. I have felt so comfortable that I have referred several friends who have also had a great experience with them.

The mechanic John is very honest and very knowledgeable. I will definitely come back again. This is located in Colonies North right next door and in the same parking lot as Chevron gas station. Very convenient.

From out of town and had a flat tire. John was friendly, caring and found the problem, fixed it and had us on our way in a matter of minutes. Extremely thankful to have stumbled across this place.

Not trustworthy!!!! Purchased a battery here two years ago and came out to it dead this morning. Ernest checked it and LIED!!! Said it was all good it must have been MY fault. I went to AutoZone and they said its a BAD battery!!! These guys are scumbags! They will rip you off!! Do not trust!!

I can't express enough my gratitude for the care I received this morning when it was raining pigs and chickens and my wiper blade on my driver's side suddenly broke! I was out there in the rain, trying to fix this thing, not knowing it was broken and I was literally soaked down to the bone.When I told him I accidentally left my wallet at work (in Boerne no less), he replaced my wiper and told me not to worry about it. Nobody does that these days and I can't thank him enough for helping me this morning! I'd like to swing by and pay him for the wiper!!

Giving them 5 stars for letting me park in their lot while waiting for a tow. I walked home and they coordinated with the auto club (held the keys). Very conciencious and friendly even though they didn't make a buck.

Ernest installed a new alternator and starter for me for a low price. I got my car back the same day. I haven't had any issues since then. I will always use him when I need car maintenance.

Brought in own parts, willing to work on it. Came back in a reasonable time but the owner was never very communicative, and the price was extremely high for the work done. Won't come back

Took care of my A/C for the second time (first time he fixed the blowers and then the whole unit) i paid full price each time.
