I just want to say that this place is great to cater those who need to leave their car overnight or work during the week. Also, Ashlynn was great. She treated my wife and child very well while they waited for my wife's car. I was also pleased with the service that was provided to both of our cars.

Carlisle is absolutely the best A.C. repair shop in south Texas. The technicians are skilled professionals with a commitment to quality service.Tony is an amazing diagnostician and tech. The service manager, Rich is also a skilled mechanic with expertise his experience and oversight ensures the job is done right. They completely overhauled my classic van with new air conditioning- making it more efficient and cooler than when it left the factory. Then they worked on my idle control and wiring to improve performance. Ashlyn, service writer is courteous, knowledgeable, precise and professional. After a few days of searching for a complete A/C kit for an F450 also looking for the right price, availability and a great warranty, a friend told me to call Carlisle auto air. To my surprise I was able to find all of the above requirements I had been searching for, with the help from Quincy who very quickly looked in his system and found the kit I needed he then made sure it was in stock. I Will be referring friends to get there needed parts from Carlisle auto air. Best price I found, great warranty and best of all locally in San Antonio TX. Thanks again Quincy from Carlisle auto air.

I've lived in San Antonio since the 80s and whenever anyone discusses Auto A/C repairs, Carlisle is almost always the suggestion where to go.Recently the A/C on my auto went out and it was my turn to head over to Carlisle.Andrew, the Service Lead kept me informed through both the diagnosis and repair; what was involved, the costs, the time involved, and what other factors I may consider since it was an older vehicle.The repairs turned out perfect and it was a very comfortable experience from beginning to end. Never did I doubt the honesty, integrity, and competence of the Carlisle Auto Air Team and it all proved true.The longevity of Carlisle attests to their success and reputation in helping us San Antonions beat the oppressive summer heat.

My 1989 Ford F150 AC and Vacuum system was a total mess. Hoses rotted away and nothing worked. I took it to Carlisle and not only did they replace and repair the AC system as needed they also completely reworked the vacuum system. The AC use to not work well when stopped and Andrew (service writer and awesome at keeping me informed of progress) recommended an external Aux fan which I had them install as well. During the install of the AC parts and fan it appears the old radiator developed a leak. Rather than call me and tell me they found something else that needed replacing, they replaced it FREE! Past experience at other repair shops tells me I would have received a phone call telling me I needed "additional repairs" and would have been charged extra. This is PURE HONESTY at its best. Kudos to MARK, a super skilled tech who was tasked with this 30 year old MESS! The AC works FABULOUS even in the heat when stopped in traffic. Andrew was outstanding throughout the entire process. Communication concerning the status of my repairs was continuous through text messages until I received a call from him explaining the entire process and advising me my truck was ready. Professional, courteous and knowledgeable service is what you can expect at Carlisle Automotive. I have used them in the past and no one comes close to the service I received.

These guys went way above and beyond to help figure what fittings were needed for the line I have. They also cut off the old fitting and put the correct fitting on right there! Highly recommend this company!!

I selected Carlisle Air Automotive because their high ratings and complimentary returns. Now they have my full recommendation. Repair on my 2009 Escape took longer than expected; but, they did a thorough job. The unrepaired compressor and pully made lots of noise and the AC was only barely cooling on the very highest setting. Now the AC compressor sounds like it did when it was new - really quiet. And the AC cools on all settings. Granted it was not cheap; but I had it worked on two months previously by the Ford service agents. Apparently they couldn't even identify that the compressor pully should not have been so noisy and they did not recommend any other service. Thank you for your comprehensive service Carlisle Air.

I went online to schedule an appointment and was contacted immediately the next day by Andy. Went to the appointment for oil change, rotate/balance tires. Andy came back out and said the tires were bad and explained it. He said it would take a day to get new tires but if I had a place to go I could go there. I told him I go to the Firestone on Lackland and he said great. Did the oil change - great price - great service! I will use Carlisle forever!

Did a great job. Took it for an oil change and they repaired my tire that had a screw in it. You must call first and make an appointment if u want an oil change.

Took my sons 2010 Ford Explorer to get his ac work done they charge me $1400 dollars it didn t work they said because of the weather it wasn t reading the pressure right. So I took it back and there Shop Forman kept telling me that everything work and ac is cooling been two weeks and my sons ac still doesn t cool and it still doesn t work.

Love this place. The service quality is fantastic and the work is covered by their own warranty.My dad always told me that, when it comes to car repair, you can have two out of three but never all three: good, fast, cheap. Carlisle always does good work! I would not call them cheap, but I would say they are affordable. Sometimes they re faster than other times.I consistently return here because I know I am ALWAYS going to get good work, and it may be faster, and it may be more affordable, but I know it s always good and I know they re not lying to me. As a woman, that s the biggest deal for me.

They couldn't figure out what was wrong with my AC and told me everything checked out fine. I was without my vehicle for a day and they left their paw prints all over it but that was the worst of it. Decent customer service at the counter and at least they didn't charge me the diagnostic fee. I would have appreciated some options to upgrade. I was willing to spend good money on a new system but instead I drove off with slightly cool AC. I wouldn't recommend wasting time here.Service: Air conditioning

I would like to leave a rating of 3.5. If it were the typical US school letter grade system, I'd give a "B+." (We went to Carlisle at the recommendation of another mechanic we trust.)PROSVery communicative. The automated notification system is a good one that keeps you informed all along the way while your car is in service. The folks there seem friendly and helpful.CONSWe have been here twice; the second time because we were concerned that the first visit didn't fix the issue because we saw the exact same behavior in the vehicle after got it back from Carlisle.What didn't help was that they didn't leave a sticker with the next oil change date, or any other clear indication that they had done any servicing. Along with the oil change, we also had our A/C repaired to the tune of several hundreds of dollars.Because we didn't see any indication that the oil change was done, we left unsure and uneasy if they had done the MAJOR repair to the car that we primarily came there for, which obviously isn't the greatest feeling to have after you've dropped a chunk of money on the repair.In sum, we went there for A/C repair and an oil change. We saw no sign of the oil change and when we got the car back, the A/C did the same thing (once) that it had done before taking it to them. You can see how the question comes, "What did they actually do to the vehicle?"Services: Air conditioning, Oil change

I'm editing this review. I did receive a call from the owner Richard shortly after writing the below review. He did apoligize for the late response and did offer to help me with the issues when the truck was broken in to. I apoloigize for writing the review when I was upset, I should have waited longer and cooled down. It wasn't Carlise's fault it was damaged, they have no control over low-life theives.Carlise provided great service, worked with me on supplied parts and I believe kept my interest and budget in mind. It's now six months later and I have been having unrelated intermitent start issues that were ultimately attributed to a failed PCM that was replaced to resolve my AC problem. I contacted the Service Advisor Ashlynn and she coordinated a tow, got the truck in ASAP and programed the replacement PCM, plus looked into a couple of unrelated problems. Problems solved, at no charge to me.Customer Service and stand behind your Product at it's finest!!! I can't say enough positive things about my experience. Something seldom received these days.I strongly recommend to all in need of automotive repair, call Ashlynn, she and the Carlise crew are there to help you. They'll be my first choice when I need help again.RobertThey did resolve my AC problem. However, when I picked it up on Saturday, it had been broken into in an attempt to steal the truck. I had a AC issue and took it to another shop I trusted and was told they d do it for $2400! I told them I d get a second opinion, and I m so glad it was from Carlisle! The turn around time wasn t too bad, and they did it for almost $1k less than the other place quoted me which saved so much unnecessary stress! I had my AC fixed at Carlisle a few months ago when the weather was still decently cool so I wanted to wait to really put it to the test and after a week of 100+ heat I can confidently say I am so glad I got my AC fixed here. I believe I called inquiring on a Monday afternoon and my car was done and ready to pick up by Tuesday afternoon. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and the experience was as easy as could be. I will recommend them to my friends!

I came to Carlisle air automotive because it was recommended from Dr's and nurses. As for my experience, u get what u pay for, I paid and got clean fresh air in my truck, honest people are hard to find, but I found them. I recommend carlisle as a place to get work done.
