I m not one to really check reviews before getting service. I stumbled across this shop pulled in and spoke with David. I had to have my transmission rebuilt which I suspected. David s timeline three days was very precise. Everything I was told happened and communication was great. I was warned by a coworker about reviews that had previously been posted that were negative. I lived it and definitely had a very positive experience with great and punctual service. I will bring all my future business to Boss Automotive.

Don t go here. I bought an older vehicle off of an ex boss of mine. 2007 dodge Durango. To be exact guys they had it for almost 10 months and said it was fixed.Fast forward. 4 months later I took it in to another shop closer to home for some maintenance and yalllll idk how I m still alive. God must ve been on my side haha. The mechanic sent me pictures of 5 different things that were either missing, or not even screwed on just hanging there. I will look for the pictures and post them when I find them.Boss guys said they fixed the AC and the door locks and those haven t worked since I brought the truck home. Also, I saw the mechanics go to a bar down the street on their lunch and get hammered before going back.If I could give 0 stars I would. Not even worthy of 1 star. There is a reason they only have 3.9 stars.

Was looking for a mechanic last minute to help me with my loose skid plate. Stopped here on a whim and was so glad that I did. Kevin had my car in and out in about 5 minutes! The guys here were super friendly and professional. Even refused to charge me since they weren t able to reinstall it so they removed it.

I recently came to Boss Automotive to get my vehicle repaired and have to say the gentleman I spoke to (David) was very professional and straight to the point. The work that was done was very well done and I'm happy to say that my car runs much better then before. Props to David and the other professionals that helped me in the situation. 10/10 would recommend and will come again.

No communication on the shops end throughout the entire process even down to when my vehicle was ready still nobody picks up the phone to notify but as soon as we called to inquire they sure did mention the balance owed. Like they weren't aware the only way to get the rest of their money would be TO CALL THE CUSTOMER AND TELL THEM THEIR CAR IS READY. Had they been paid in full my car would just sit there. Just a shame. They got the very last of my money this time and I've brought several cars to them but this will be the last.

I am only putting one star in because there is no way to put zero. I don t know where to begin but I can tell you this is by far the worst experience I ve had with a mechanic shop. I take my car and drop it off around 9 AM because I had gotten it diagnose and was told the O2 sensors were bad and needed them replaced. When getting there I asked him if he would be able to get the car done today and he said yes, no problem. He told me he was going to scan it and he would give me a call in a couple of hours. By 3 PM when I did not receive a call I reached out to Vic, he told me oh I will give you a call right back. I assume he then went out to scan the vehicle and he called me back and told me that I needed spark plugs and to replace two coil packs. That there was nothing wrong with the O2 sensors. He then told me it would be $675 for the repairs. After speaking to my wife and desperately needing transportation to pick up our five children from school, we agreed to the repairs. I drove 45 minutes from my house to the shop to take care of the bills so that my wife can pick the vehicle up on her way home from work. When I arrived around 415 to pay the bill, the car has not been moved from where I parked it. Vic then tells me he may not be able to get the car done by six and after a lot of back-and-forth, they finally said they would get it taken care of And they did get it taken care of that day. The next day when we were driving the vehicle the check engine light came back on so we took it back only to be told now that the O2 sensors are bad. This is clearly a scam or a beaten switch. There are far better ways to throw your money away then doing business with these people. Horrible way to run a business and treat people who work hard for their money.

I have a 14 Honda Odyssey and for the past 15 months, over 8 different mechanics, and 7k spent, no one could figure out what was wrong with my van or fix the problem. Finally even HONDA gave up and said "it just needs a new engine" and tried to sell me on a 10k engine. Before I decided to junk it, I brought it to Boss Auto for a second opinion. From the first time I called about it they said "I don't agree it's an engine and I'm not charging you for an engine if its not gonna fix the problem, so bring it in I'm gonna run through it myself" and that's exactly what they did!!! They took their time and FOUND THE PROBLEM!! He was so confident he even gave me a guarantee it would fix it!!! I went ahead and put my faith in Dave, and YESSSSS MY VAN IS FINNNAAALLLLYYYYY FIXED!!!! it's really freaking fixed!!!! Boss Auto has earned a life long customer from me and my family so thank you again, you have no idea how much you have truly helped my family!!!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto emissions testing, Auto maintenance

Took my car here because I was leaking coolant, and after replacing many parts I was unable to find the leak. After about 2 months of them having my car they told me they fixed it. They stated they needed to drop the oil pan to get the coolant leak fixed.Fast forward about 2-3 weeks and I had a low oil pressure light, so I took it back to them thinking since they had to drop the oil pan, and I wasn't having any oil issues before this, it might be under warranty from the work they did. After having my car for ANOTHER 3 MONTHS and "replacing" many parts including the heads to my engine so they say I get told it's ready. I pick it up and it went back to them that night for the same issue. A few weeks later they tell me it was my oil pump and now the light doesn't come on.The light stayed off... along with most of the lights on my dash including the parking break light right next to the oil light. About a 2-3 weeks later my engine starts knocking, so it goes back once again. By this point I am $2,700 in repair just for those 2 visits. After having it for the weekend I get a call and get told I spun a bearing because it wasn't getting enough oil. I was told I would need a newer engine and that would be another $1,500.When I was told I spun a bearing due to lack of oil when I was just having a low oil pressure issue and they said they replaced the oil pump I asked them if it was something they might have missed when they "fixed" the issue. They told me, "The bearings are in the lower area of the engine and do not get any oil." So this was not covered by their warranty, and they failed to claim responsibility for the poor quality work they put into it.

They think that just because I m a woman, i don t know about cars but these thief s don t know anything about cars. I took my 2017 maxima in for diagnostic and i knew exactly what was wrong with my car so I had them fix it. 1 week and 1,615 dollars later I get my car back and it s in worse condition. My a/c wasn t working the coils they changed weren t even the right ones because out of all 6 they changed 3 and and the broken coil was still on there. I also my sensors were all jacked up and to top it off I m having electrical problems now. My car is losing power but God they swore they test drove it. My hood is broken and my bumper wasn t even placed right and my bumper support is missing but of course their not responsible for any damages or missing things. These people took parts from my car and used it on another maxima they had. (I m going to stand my ground on this)1600 dollars down the drain and now i have to pay more money to fix it. Don t take your car here!!!! Listen to me very carefully, don t! Another friend of mine took his truck here too and his truck still has a cold leak but they sure charged him an arm and a leg for that too. These people are crooks!!!!Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

I ve been going to Boss Automotive for all my truck and car repairs for the past 8 years. They were recommend it to me by my brother and I have recommended them to my mother and my friends. Vick and the staff are awesome! One time my truck was stuck in park and they sent one of their Mechanics to my location to help get my truck in drive and to the shop at NO CHARGE. That is just one example of how they go out of their way to help their customers. My family and I are driving to MI in a week and my truck was shaking so I took it to have them fix the problem, check the a/c, replace the lock on the door, fuel gauge was not working, and make sure the trailer hitch lights are working properly. They were so professional and completed all the repairs in a timely manner at good price. If you are looking for a honest, professional, and family automotive shop I highly recommend you go to Boss. You will not be disappointed.Kristin HillServices: Transmission, Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning, Oil change

Amazing team! I flew in to get my vehicle to bring it back on a long drive to Florida. They were ready with all the parts and staff ready to get me out as soon as possible, without much time before they close planned since I was flying in a bit late. Turns out that during the long time my car was sitting, some other issues were wrong that wouldve normally pushed the repair into the next day. These guys stayed overtime, for hours, and made sure the truck was in good condition before leaving that night. Truly amazing team and im thankful for the work they did!Service: General repairs & maintenance

They did a terrific overhaul on my 2006 Dodge Hemi Charger. They were very professional, kept in touch with us during the process. Time was of the essence, and they kept their word on when my car would be ready. My car is running like a brand new car! I highly recommend this shop. We will definitely use Boss as our first choice to fix my baby! Thank you Boss!

I told my bf to take the car to Boss Automotive because it was convenient and close to where the car was having problems. I called and asked if they could clean the throttle body and what the price was. Junior told me how much it was, i could pay over the phone and that we could leave it their until we got off of work, hell yeah that worked for me. . Anyway i got a call from him about an hour later after dropping it off letting me know that it was not the throttle body causing the problems in my car it was actually the transmission. He had already called and asked about the warranty on the car from the dealership and they told him it is valid until 10/18/2018 or 60,000 miles, which ever comes first. I picked up my car and took it in that evening. I feel my short experience with boss automotive deserves the 5 stars. He did not have to go out of his way to check the warranty. TBH i didn't even know the car had the factory warranty on it since i had bought it used and not new. Someone else wouldn't have done that any would have charged me. Because of Junior's honesty i will not have to pay thousands of dollars. I asked him how much i owed him for the visit and he said nothing and for that i am thankful.

First of all DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! Long story short..we took my wife s Mini Cooper to get the timing chain replaced and I purchased the parts for it, after 3 weeks the car was not repaired and I was told they were waiting for a timing lock pin.I called again 3 days in a row and was told again they were waiting on the same part but then I called on a Saturday morning and I was told they were going to start on it that morning but that was a lie because they called me a couple hours later to tell me the car was gone. So get this they told me someone stole some keys from the shop but we got a certified letter that same Saturday and the car was inbounded on Thursday 2 days before they said someone stole it. So the car was stolen Thursday and 2 days later the shop realized it was gone and the engine was now blown, after calling the police and making a report the shop said they would replace the motor but that never happened because we called our insurance and the shop stated they didn t have insurance. I lost out on money I spent for parts and a nice Mini Cooper my wife loved. Once the shop takes position of your vehicle they are responsible for it but it this case they failed. -5 StarsService: Engine repair

This shop does not honor their warranty I took my car here to have an engine replaced after they put one in the car and they wouldn t repair it. They have a 12 month, 12,000 mile warranty and the motor on my car blew after 7,000 miles of it being in the car. They say that they know what they are doing but that is a lie, you don t get a motor out of the junkyard and throw it in the car and expect it to last.Service: Engine repair

To much to say. They do not honor the quarantee on work. They basically took 398.00 from me to replace a fuel pump regulater. And its not fixed. Oh and ps. I was told to bring it back Wed and they can look at it... I also paid 175.00 for plugs and now my AC doesn't work. Hmm.Don't bring your car there. I am down to my last few dollars and still car isn't fixed. I fact its worse.Shame on a business that screws women over.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Wish I could give 0 stars, very dishonest people they damaged my front bumper when repairing my head lights. Also shorted out the electricity for my back window, before leaving off the lot Everything was mentioned to the staff pictures were taken. I got the run around for a week and needless to say they denied everything. I hate dishonesty will never go back, be very careful if you take your automobile there take pictures before you leave it. I hope their business fails we have enough Crocks in the world.

My truck needed timing chain work. They did a good job with the work and were very informative. They had a two day turn around which was less than other shops I was getting quotes from. My vehicle runs strong. I would definitely recommend this shop.

My truck has been in this place for more than a month and they made me pay in advance and they did not give me my truck. Also, the service they have for customers is terrible. I have more than a month trying to get my truck and nothing and I decided to share. This case with you because I do not want you to make the same mistake that I did not take your car to this place. I met another client from this place who has 8 months with them trying to fix their car and they have given it in such a way that that person said he would sue them. That's why I'm asking you not to take your vehicles to this place. I'm going to put tests that have not been given to my car for a month so they will not be fooled and have people say they are good people. that these messages that they give me are a lie and that they had a lot of patience with them but I get tired and the owner also puts the workers to talk to the client and they do not confront him, do not be fooled by this type of people that I am going to put to the test to see the truth.

Never trust these people with your vehicle. The owner is just as shady as the mechanics that steal your parts. Wehave been dealing with these people for over a year. The part is under warranty but they refuse to fix the leak. Only had the car back about 2 months, after them taking over a year to replace the transmission, and it is stillleaking. Keep in mind another mechanic stole the 1st one. NEVER TRUST THEM. I have already contacted the news and my attorney. Everyone should file a complaint with the BBB like we did to let everyone know this place is very bad. One person alone might not stop them but they can't ignore it when we all stand up.

My 17 year old daughter has been driving for a week and today, she hit a bump that caused the splash shield to come loose and scrape against the ground. She was scared to death because of the sound, and called me right away. When I got to her at a restaurant on Broadway, I thought about my options, looked up and saw Boss Automotive right across the street. Grateful for God's provision, I drove over and asked for help. Rod immediately stopped what he was doing and back a truck up out of the way and told me to bring mine in. He and Junior decided it just needed new bolts and immediately was on my way! The service and the kindness shown to us has made me a customer for life! Thank you SO much to Boss Automotive for their excellent customer service today in what could have been a nightmare situation for us!!

These guys are great . .I was in a fender bender last year during the worst possible time (just after the hail storm). They had it fixed in less time than I expected and did quality work. Went out of their way to drop off my rental. A+ service!!

In my 23 years of owning cars this was the worst automotive experience I have ever have. These guys "replaced" our oil pan on our SUV. 1 week after the "repair" nearly all of the oil leaked back out of the car and I was left stranded. In the end finally took the car to the dealership and they explained that they had not let the sealant they had used to attach the pan cure properly. In the end the work had to be completely re-done and the engine had to be de-gunked from the burned oil that was created from the low level that resulted from their work. I called and asked them for a partial refund and they explained that their warranty was void b/c someone else had repaired their work. This is the kind of professionalism to expect from this company. Spare yourself the heartache and look elsewhere for help with your vehicle. Highly recommend McCombs Toyota at 410/10. Can't speak for all the locations but Winifred there is a true genius and and expert technician. Not to mention he is super friendly and my SUV now runs better than ever!

I went in to get a key ignition switched. Looked it up on avg. Costs for these with answers from hight $200 - high $400. He charged me $500 and with the labor charged me 2 hours of labor but took him 20 minutes to fix. He said he had to use his drill so charged extra doesn't make sense its part of labor work. I was unsatisfied with the price and charged a large amount extra for the part after comparing prices around san Antonio.

Have taken three Vehicles there two have been returned to be resolved . One three times. Second still not working. The third has been taken to another shop to be worked on. Customers beware. Do your research and avoid this shop at all cost.
