Scammers and liars be aware that they will lie and try to charge you for stuff they were supposed to do on top of something new will literally never come back here I should take this to KSAT news station so everyone in San Antonio knows what goes on here at this auto shop do not trust your car with these people your better off going to your dealership because when they are done with repairs and charging extra and fixing stuff you never asked them to fix you will literally pay the same amount never again if I could give a negative star I would, believe the negative reviews everyone is telling the truth even the old reviews!

If you need quality auto repair and great customer service you have come to the right place!!Toby and crew have done a phenomenal job of taking care of my mustang, the pricing for a change of battery was cheaper than other shops around ($214 was the price being asked for the battery and labor, you did it for $175) and the quality of work was superb!You have definitely won me over as a returning customer in the future, loved seeing you work on classic cars as well!For others, do business with this company and check them out!**also** for military customers like myself, loved the fact that you support reservist and national guards to serve, and have a job to comeback to, that says alot about a business! A+ and 10% off Active Duty (except for tires, and batterys) just let them know!

I am very thankful for the people who work at the shop. I ve never had a shop that I trusted like my mother did growing up. I ve always had friends who were mechanics, but without a shop, they lack the professionalism, and detail which the shop was able to provide. I had a lot of work to do on my Subaru, and I was not able to afford it all at this time, but by understanding what I needed to do, I was able to not have to sell my car. Thank you!

Brad was very helpful and courteous with everyone else that I talked to. Brad explained what was done on my car and what else needs to be taken care of. My father reached out to this place because his truck wouldn't start. They sent out 2 men to check his truck said it was the starter, they tried to give the battery (2 week old battery) a boost and the truck wouldn't start. When he called the manager, he wouldn't give him a price. He said they couldn't quote him a price but it was going to be expensive because they guarantee the work and that it's going to be done right. To avoid the $150 charge for them to tow, my dad called AAA. Triple A gave him a boost, checked the battery and the truck has been working since. Baumann should be ashamed for taking advantage of people specifically Seniors who live on SS only.

Customers Beware! If I could put negative stars I would. My father took his truck there after it was broken in to and they tried to steal it. Ignition locked was punched and needed a new door lock replaced. Filed insurance claim so the business was going through insurance to complete repairs. Repairs were taking 4-6 weeks due to "parts shipping delays". Fast forward to completion and he received a call that the business was broken into and they bored our a hole in the gas tank to steal the gas. Told it would be added onto insurance claim. That's number 1. Why do we have to submit the claim for something that happened on their property? Shouldn't they take care of that through there own property insurance? Anyways...they replaced the gas tank and my father was told to come pick up. Started getting calls from a tech from Baumann saying we owed them for repair's told them they were supposed to go through insurance. We've already paid the insurance on these repairs why would we pay again. Number 2. Now my father is receiving threatening calls and messages cussing my elderly father out from the tech to "WATCH OUR BACKS! THAT WE OWE AND IF WE DON'T PAY HE WAS GOING TO LOSE HIS JOB. NOT TO BE SURPRISED IF OUR HOUSE BURNS DOWN OR OUR TRUCK GETS BLOWN UP!" We have the recorded messages from the tech coming from their business phone line with all of this. We'll be filing federal charges for the threats made on my family and home. Consumers beware!!!Services: Steering & suspension replacement, Auto maintenance

I did not use this service, Toby who works at the front desk was so disrespectful and very unprofessional. Within the first minute of meeting Toby, he raised his voice and cursed at me just for me saying he was rude over the phone and in person. My own wife and daughter noticed it over the phone the day prior. So the following day comes I arrive, he asked me what seems to be the problem? I tell him that my turn and brake signals are out, more or less how long would you think it would take? Fair question right? He immediately gave me an impression of Baumann Auto Repair with his raising of his voice, attitude and unprofessionalism. Baumann Auto Repair has lost a potential loyal customer within the first minute of my arrival. I just wouldn't want any other person to deal with this horrible service, I know I'm not!

I got there early for my early morning oil change. The owner was very nice. Only thing they left my car window down and the mosquitoes bit the hell out of me. The oil change prices were a little over priced to me $90. For a jeep compass. I had a 370z in Virginia and I didn't pay that much. But it seems San Antonio is more expensive than I imagined on everything.

I have been going since 2013...The customer service is impeccable! Their recommendations are spot on and are not after your money!!!!It is nice to have an auto place that feels like a friend helping you with your car, not a company.Nice waiting area with a nice stocked snack and drink machine.I really recommend this location to anyone looking for a dependable, responsible, and ethical mechanic.For not being a local, it is nice to have this place on our side :)

Baumann has worked on several of my cars. Everything is always explained thoroughly. There are no "surprises" and the staff is great! Toby goes out of his ways and definitely goes the "extra mile". They do a great job!

About 6 years ago, Toby helped me out with a serious car service issue through Ford. Toby spent time calling to get a claim started through a manufacturer warranty. He also shared a good car dealer rec for the service.

The mechanic was able to find out what the problem was with my truck when my husband and i along with my 2 year old took the truck in since the service engine light was on and being the truck wasnt acting right. Told me that the vacume hose was cracked and that's how come the truck was shaking and kept turning off on us. Price was reasonable and didn't take long from the time frame that was given. My husband and I are planning to keep doing business here to keep our truck up and running. Truck is running smoothly now. Thank you if your ready this review.

These guys have been nothing but fantastic for two different repairs on our car. Fast & friendly service. Repaired a belt & a problem with the Electronic Power Control for a very fair & reasonable price.

I couldn't ask for better service, I sell cars and have 30 years of retail. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and strive for 100% surveys across the board.So what I'm saying is that this company hands down has met every standard possible, at the highest level.So do business with this company because there a solid company.I checked to see what it would cost at the BMW dealership, they were double what Baumanns charged.I didn't have an appointment, but they got me in right away, even though every bay was full.This is a 5 Star facility.

I took my car to baumanns and it was the worst decision I have ever made. They broke things on my car and said they would fix it for me not to worry , but when my car was finished they said I had to pay them for what they broke. They said that" my part was gonna break eventually so why should they have to pay for it " which was total bull since the part was new and I never had any problems with it before. Then they said they would cover towing , but charged me for it anyway. They also charged me 200 for a part they said was going to be sixty. From the beginning they told me for everything out the door it would be 750, but when it was time to pay they said I owed them over 1500 and said they would not give me my keys until it was all paid. This was the worst experience and I regret ever taking my cars there. They also tried to charge me for things that I never told them to do. They are rude liars and sneaky.

I brought my 1986 F-150 to them for a free diagnostic and then agreed to a scope of work. The truck was overflowing the coolant reservoir and then overheating. We agreed for them to change the belts on the front accessory drive and that was it. When driving home after they fixed the belts, the coolant temperature barely came off full cold. I attributed this to the water pump not slipping on the belt.We eventually solved the coolant overflow problem (burned exhaust valve and maybe a head gasket leak) and drove it for a couple hours. At the end of a trip, the thermostat housing gasket gave way and let boiling coolant coat the engine bay and our driveway. After opening the thermostat housing the next week, the thermostat had been removed (I had previously bought one and installed it prior to going to Baumann Auto Repair). This explains why it was running cold. They also did not install the housing with a gasket, only RTV. This also explains why it blew after a few hours of operation.When I initially picked up the truck, they did not notify me that they had removed the thermostat, they did not ask if they could remove the remove the thermostat, and they did not use a gasket when they reassembled it. No vehicle of mine will ever be back at this auto repair shop.

We went for service and we were told they changed our oil pan. Come to find out we still had original oil pan. I've taken my car there before and thought i was getting great service but now I'm not too sure. We will not be returning there.

Been using Baumann Auto since the 60s with Dad's cars, then my own cars. Great service, honest, and reliable. Now my kids are using Baumann Auto Repair.

Amazing. Walked in and was immediately greeted by service writer. Another mechanic was also sitting in office area. As I told the gentleman wat was wrong they quickly had an idea of wat the problem was. Took my info and informed me that a call would b made of repairs needed & an estimate. Great service and very attentive.

I've trusted the mechanics at Baumann with my Cadillac for 7 years. The forman tells me what needs to be replaced and what's still good for another 10-12K miles. Thanks guys!

Well me and my brother-in-law broke down there they let us stay there until the tow truck came to get us call my brother-in-law Red McCombs work stock otherwise the people there were very nice and friendly I don't know about the way they've worked there but they've been in business for a long time I'm pretty sure they good people to trust
