My Dad has been going to this veteran owned shop for years and recently had some radiator and brake repair work done and was very pleased with the price and great customer service. Definitely my go to Auto repair service. Thanks y'all

I want to thank you Craig, for your hospitality and professional service today on getting me started to find out what is happening with my car, and Mark you are amazing!!!!! And Mr Ken, service that kicks butt in a hospitality establishment. I am excited to get my work done and further my knowledge of my car by Mark with his wisdom and experience. Thank you again Baumann. Craig made me feel at ease in bringing in my truck that had a miss fire. Mark the lead tech was amazing and diagnosing car and fixing the coil issue. He met me and shook my hand and explained everything to me. I have peace of mind I know where to bring my vehicle when I need a repair. would recommend 100 percent. Fair and honest service and price. Best shop to go to! Mark is your guy! You want him working on your car He is lead tech here & he knows his stuff he is very knowledgeable at diagnosing your car takes the time to explain what your car needs what it would costs very through shook my hand very courteous excellent customer service from the whole team! I felt at ease & comfortable leaving my car here. Most shops wanna try to trick you or add extra needs not this place this place is honest & reliable for your car needs!

I've been going here for a couple of years. This shop has great for me! I only wish they were closer to me. My car is a lemon, but they've helped me keep it going for longer than I expected. Prices seem high, but are actually pretty fair and reasonable when considering inflation.

Baumann's is my go-to mechanic- they are fast, friendly, and fair. They do quality work for their customers because they care, not just to make a buck. They kept me informed throughout the entire process, taking the time to make sure I understood exactly what they were doing and approved of the work before getting started. A great experience all-around! 10/10This shop is Extremely helpful and thoroughly comprehensive in their detailed explanation of the issues encountered in my F150. Staff was extremely pleasant to talk to and a thorough breakdown of all fees, parts and labor expenses was provided.Thoroughly recommended if you have an issue that NEEDS to be fixed NOW.

Phenomenal, Professional, and Ethical! Yet still I feel it does not due justice, for the service provided!Long story short... Baumann identified some concerns, and recommended I return to dealer (ACJDR), for which I had to return 4x to attempt and resolve the issue as the check engine light kept triggering. They provided a diagnostic and after entrusting them 4 previous times I could not in good faith allow them to service my vehicle.I turned to Sarah, she put me at ease, and asked to drop off my vehicle. In less than 24 hours I had diagnostic, and it was less expensive than what dealer had quoted, and excluded repairs. I was so thankful, for the thoroughness, and honesty, I added an additional 100k service maintenance and break replacement to the repairs, as a token of my appreciation.My truck is running at optimal performance, and most importantly NO CHECK ENGINE light!!Thank you Sarah, and Staff at Baumann!! Love the service I received here. Brought my other vehicle because of it. They did fantastic work on my vehicles. I appreciate their honesty and hard work. Their manager, Sarah, is very cool and down to earth..easy to relate to and understand what she's talking about, which isn't always the case at auto repair shops... in my experience anyway.

I always feel welcomed by Sarah. I totally trust my automobile needs to Baumann's. They are honest and fair with their prices. I have been a customer for several years and have never been disappointed in the service I have received. I highly recommend Baumann's, you won't be disappointed.

Professional staff, comfortable and very clean environment. This place puts out some amazing work! My Tahoe is a 2003 with nearly 300,000 miles because of this shop and the very knowledgeable staff working as a team my Tahoe drives like new now! Thank you to Sarah and her amazing staff! I will always and only deal with this shop and I highly recommend to everyone else do the same!

Ever since I started using Baumann for my auto needs, I've never used anyone else. Even though it's a bit farther for me to drive to, I'll always use Baumann. Sara is amazing, she makes me feel comfortable about my car & she is very knowledgeable and has taught me a lot about cars. Prices are very good too! I definitely trust them for all my auto maintenance & needs

I have always had a great experience with baumann auto on mainland and will still use them. Yesterday I found out Sarah is no longer there . Please owners if you can bring Sarah back cuz she's been the best auto person I've ever worked with and I've been with you for 8 years!

If you think that there's no such thing as an honest mechanic, you are wrong. Go see Sarah and the boys at Baumann Auto Repair off of Mainland. I moved to San Antonio 2 years ago and had two terrible experiences at two different auto repair shops before finding Baumann. They are quick, they are HONEST, and they are considerate. This morning, my car's AC decided to kick the bucket... on the longest day of Summer, with my 1-year-old in the car. I drove straight to Baumann, and even though they seemed busy when we arrived, they still managed to diagnose the issue (blower motor died), order parts (I watched it arrive about 45 minutes after they made the call), install the parts, and give me my AC back (better than before) in about TWO HOURS. Price was totally reasonable. I will never take a car to any other mechanic.If they move, we move :)

Baumann has cared for cars in my family since the 1960s and they've always taken good care of us. We live out near 1604 and Culebra but old habits are hard to break; we still make the trek to the Cincinnati location. (Grew up in the area) . Baumann has always treated us right. Honest, dependable, and ready to serve!

Have been to Baumann Auto a couple of times and could not be happier. They are clear about what needs to be done and what can wait. I never feel pressure and they don't try to add on extra work. I especially love that the service manager is a woman. That's just awesome. I highly recommend and will visit them again.

The service couldn't have been better! The workmanship is top notch and the pricing is more than competitive. Everyone I dealt with was not only courteous and knowledgeable but they did everything to make my experience as enjoyable as possible. My truck runs beautifully and with their service agreement, it will for years. Thanks everyone!

I have been a longtime Baumann Auto Repair (Mainland Dr.) customer - they have worked on my vehicles for years - great service and honest straight forward treatment - they never push unnecessary repairs on you! They are so good that I now drive all the way back from Houston to have them service my car!

Best service, and BEST PRICES!!! Extremely appreciated is their honesty and integrity and they are always trying to help in any way they can by suggesting prioritized repairs that won't break the bank, then working out a plan of action for future repairs, if needed. Went in for 30K mi service on my Toyota Prius, which was basically an oil and filters change, tire rotation and inspection. They kept me apprised of the status of the work, let me know the estimated cost, and even gave me a coupon when I didn't have one. As far as I can tell, everything was done correctly.Baumann also took care of a problem with a previous repair on a Ford Ranger that was still under warranty, no questions asked. They also diagnosed & solved an electrical problem and a wheel bearing problem. They strike me as being very honest, and the quality of their work seems very good.

Horrible service. Took one of my vehicles for A/C work only to have it work for a week. Took it back and was told by the "blond lady" named Sarah that they had to shim the compressor, but that didn't work. After a 3 visits Sarah will look at you like, what do want to do about it. A few months later I'm thinking let's give them a second chance and took another vehicle for oil leak coming from the cylinder head. They took $1200. from me and patched it up with silicone. When I took it back I was given a suggestion to engine swap for $3500. And as for a warranty not worth a cent. If you want them to grant their warranty you have to pay.

I called and spoke to Jarred he said to bring my truck in to have it looked at for an engine starting issue. I called back 3 days later and they still had not looked at it. I went to their shop on the third day to see when they thought they were going to have time to work on it and was told by their rude manager that they were not interested in doing the job. Bauman auto wasted my time. They obviously don t need any additional business and could use some serious customer service training. I m never wasting my time by taking any of my autos to them again. Find another shop who treats their customers better.

I will only go to Baumann's for anything involving auto maintenance or repair. Many years ago I went to the Cincinnati location and even the one all the way out on 16 but now I frequent the one on Mainland in Leon Valley. They're all in the same family and they're all good no doubt but I fell in love w the service at Mainland. Sarah is their admin and she really knows her stuff and great w customers. Their service is QUALITY and their not out to empty your wallet either I can't say enough about them. They even adjusted something that was poorly installed by Finsantos and didn't charge me for it while maintenancing my vehicle w an oil change and tire rotation. Sarah suggested I get that part replaced by them as their work should be under warranty but honestly for what Finsantos charged and the additional stuff they wanted to charge I just cut my losses and am thankful for Baumann's on Mainland off Bandera Rd.

Once again, great choice. Vehicle failed to start this am. Took it to baumann on mainland which has been my go to auto repair for several years. They had me out with new battery in a very short time. Nice folks, nice place, and very reasonable prices on work.

I went in a while back because I saw an oil change and tire rotation special on their sign. It took a little longer than I'm used to, but everyone was very nice and it was one of those car shops where you feel you're being treated fairly and honestly.Today I had a tire blowout on 1604. I called then b/c I remember they said they had a tow service and asked if they could come out with a jack b/c mine wasn't raising the car high enough to get the spare on. They said they'd have someone out right away. When I told them I didn't have cash on me, they told me not to worry about it and to just remember them the next time I need any work done. I definitely will.

They diagnosed the job correctly which is a great thing in this day and age.Don't expect your car to be ready the next day, however. From a price standpoint, they're fairly high compared to the competition.

BAD SHOP! I'll be contacting the BBB on these folks. If you are looking for a shop to fix their mistakes and be honest, you are looking at the wrong place. I went in to get multiple items looked at/fixed. They did not do what I had asked at all. Not one bit. When I got my vehicle back, the exhaust issue was still the same, if not worse. They didn't reinstall an exhaust hanger as they said they would, and they also used the "quick fix" exhaust pipe goop to fix a gap. If I wanted it fixed like that, I would've bought that stuff at Oreillys. In addition, now my brake light and parking brake light are on all the time. In addition, the brakes now lock up when pressed on hard. It showed on their sheet that they checked the brakes. Not sure how they give me back a vehicle with issues that it did not have when I took it there. When I called about these issues, I spoke with multiple people, including a Baumann relative and someone claiming to be a master mechanic. Their explanation was, "You got alot done for the price we charged you". I explained to them that this what the price they quoted me. I would have been more than happy to pay more for the issues to be fixed properly. That is exactly what I did after they refused to fix their screwups. Baumannn will never be recommended by me to anyone. In fact, I do my best to make sure anyone I know understands this.
