The sales manager is shady and did things I told him not to.I went to my bank and get a loan for a car and told everyone not to run my credit I had it covered but he /they ran a second loan application saying it was for identification purposes. (Lie) they want credit for the loan they also had me there for over 3 hours no one spoke to me no one updated me on anything. If my truck was working I would have left .They sold me an extended warranty and said all I pay is $100 deductible (lie)They gave me 250 miles for a no question asked return and at 300 mile the check engine light came on.If you value honesty and a good value go some place else.

Unfortunately, there has been an update to my review. The car has been great, but due to a battery/starter problem, I called to ask for assistance on what I should do. Whoever picked up the phone, some so-called general manager answered with an, and I quote, "What do you expect us to do, the car is used, sold as-is, without a warranty." He almost sounded happy about it too. I don't know? Maybe offer someone to come out for a fee? I wasn't asking for free services. I called Volvo Roadside assistance and they actually did that, despite the lack of a warranty.I just bought the car and this is how you treat your customers? It's bad enough I had to sign up for the ghettoest car loan known to man despite having a 700 credit score show up on their paperwork across the big 3 bureaus, because "well you don't have enough loan history."Jim was a great sales associate, and so was the finance lady who assisted us with our road hazard claim. But some of your associates are lacking in the customer service department and need some solid training because it is not a good look. I will never do business with you guys again, unless someone is willing to make things right.

My experience at auto nation by far was the best compared to other dealerships I had went to in the past couple weeks while shopping around. They made my purchase easy and very transparent. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to buy a quality vehicle hassle free. James the salesman and the finance consultant Michael were amazing. They get 5 stars from me

I wasn't as familiar with AutoNation as with other used vehicle retailers like Carmax or Carvana, so didn't know what to expect while browsing AutoNation's inventory. I found a great car that was well taken care of, and was helped by the kindest people there! Paul (my salesperson) and Matt (in finances) were patient, personable, and never pushy about selling me any car, which I greatly appreciated. They both made me feel comfortable to ask questions, and they explained all my options to me. This was one of the most positive car buying experiences I've had in a long time. Thank you Paul and Matt for your time, help, and great conversation today!

Drove in from Austin to look at a 2011 4Runner, priced at a fairly average market rate. Sales staff was affable but completely unwilling to answer any questions about the state of the car. I was literally told at one point "I can't comment" after asking about a potential issue relating to some wheel chatter on the test drive. Their inspection paperwork said the car was up to all of their standards. Knowing I had a short return window, I purchased the car and took it to my ASE certified mechanic first thing in the morning. The car was in fairly good condition, unfortunately, it had a leaking rack and pinion. Total for the repair was $6,000. I contacted my sales rep who was, of course, unsurprised, casual, and unapologetic. A dealer obviously never wants to take a car back and, after driving back to San Antonio to return the car, I was given the option to have AutoNation fix the rack and pinion. I passed. A rack and pinion job isn't exactly a job you want done by a disinterested party.I asked for a refund and it was provided promptly. At the end of the day, I paid full price for a car that they knew had a $6000 issue, that they had signed off on. There was other work that had been done by them on the car and, once again, they put in writing that they've gone over the car extensively and it's "up to their standards". They knew what they were doing and they did it anyway. I spent $60 on a tank of gas and another $150 on an inspection only to find out that the stone-walling and outright fraud was concealing a major issue costing a third of the price of the car. At no point was anyone apologetic or anything other than casual or even aloof. They were just annoyed that I didn't keep the car and it was obvious. The finance guy was solid and genuine.Just in case there's any question or dispute about the validity of this situation... I have pictures and documentation of the entire process. I'm happy to post them if it comes to that. :)Be careful.

This experience was white glove service by far one of the most friendly helpful dealerships I have visited. I've never bought a car from a dealership always cash or through the auctions so i was a bit skeptical I visited 5 places before coming to AutoNation I was shopping online and must have inquired about a truck but i received a call from a gentleman named Daniel from AutoNation and the rest is history I went to the dealership test drove 3 trucks all in mint condition but one particular a 2013 Lincoln Navigator was so well kept, clean and immaculate. I had to have it but I didn't get paid until the following weekend Ovidio the manager was a god sent he really was genuinely trying to help me he emailed me and they messaged me daily to let me know the truck was still available. They worked with me and got me qualified. Rich was amazing Very Very helpful . Daniel was not working the day I came in but Steve ended getting me situated was very friendly. If u are in the Market for a vehicle This place was 10/10 Thank You AutoNation SA

The day we bought our vehicle, I gave this Auto Nation a 5 star rating. The sales person was great, but unfortunately..ever since then, we've had a horrible experience. Took 3 months for us to get our plates. At one point they were lost and no one could find them. We bought our vehicle 5 months ago. We tried canceling our warranties a week after we bought our vehicle. We kept getting the run around over and over again. Finally, they sent us paperwork to cancel in January. We signed the paperwork and sent it back the same day. Ever since then, we keep getting ignored. I've left over 30 messages for managers and no one ever calls us back. I have emailed so many times. I have even contacted corporate with no luck. At this point I feel like we threw away 10k. I would give a zero star rating if I could.

I explain to him that I don t like helicopter salesman and he walked in the parking lot with me. We talked we left. No pressure very understanding of the product. I m just an all-around awesome awesome person and sales associate. You ve really got a good one here with Mike Vincent.

READ!!! (Calling General Manager doesn t help because they ll ghost you STAY AWAY!)Do not go here! Worst experience with customer service ever! I went in to get my truck appraised. After getting my offer, I asked the person doing the appraisal how long I had to take the offer. He said 3 days or 100 miles that was fine! I then noticed all over their website that it says you have 7 days or 500 miles. Because I was confused, I reached out to somebody in the We buy your car department it was then that I received a text message from Kiyy saying that the offer lasted 7 days or 500 miles. I kept trying my luck with many other places to see what the best price I could get was. I decided to go with AutoNation and reached back out asking once AGAIN to make sure the price was still the same and when it expired. Kiyy then confirmed with me for the 3rd time that my offer still stood, and we agreed on a time to meet the following day. The following day came and Literally 30 minutes before we were supposed to meet to sell the vehicle, (while I am on the way) I get a call saying that the price dropped. After being a little upset that they went back on what they said, I reached out to Robert White (manager) I called him and explained my situation and he seemed very interested in getting me the offer that they originally gave (especially since they confirmed that price 3 times). He said he was talking to corporate and had to send something in and that he would call me back in 10 mins. 2 hours go by and nothing I text him and he says I sent it in but am out of the dealership, I ll be back in 30 mins. Will give you an update when I get back . 3 hours from that text go by and nothing! I text again and he says my updated lower offer is approved (no duh) but still waiting for the other one. His last response about waiting for that offer to get approved was later in the day and so I figured he d text me the next morning. I wait until 2:30 PM the next day and nothing at all! I text him asking for an update and even after 2 days have not received anything. I m not the type of person that gets upset easily, but when you tell me something and go back on it literally while I m on my way, I m going to be upset. I should also mention that I took off work to take it in, as well as the Co-signer of the title, and the person that was going to be picking me up. This place is very unprofessional and will just try to push you to make a quick impulsive decision. Even after saying the offer dropped, in price, they said that offer is still very very good, and we suggest you take it before it drops anymore . There is no way I will be letting this place make money off my vehicle, even if it was the best offer. I will be very sure to discourage others from buying or selling with AutoNation.

We had a great experience with AutoNation! We never felt pressured to purchase, had peace of mind because of the 5-day return policy, saw the detail that went into servicing their vehicles before listing for sale, and were satisfied with the price.

This place is a joke. Autonation will avoid you at all costs once paperwork has been signed. I never received any notification about my license plates or registration sticker. I had to utilize my time and money to get another registration sticker. This company didn't want to bother with getting another one for me.I made the mistake of getting 6 oil change services and was told to contact AJ when ready but, he never responded to texts or voicemails. They'll push extras on you put not give you the chance to pick. GAP is a must when buying used but I couldn't select an mechanical defect warranty. 6 months go buy and my my car is overheating and it's not even Summer yet. I paid a licensed automotive place for diagnostic and go back to Autonation with this repair invoice for 1/4 the cost of the vehicle. Nothing could be done according to their 'manager' John. Pretty much SOL. He wanted his service techs to look at it but that would run me 130.00! (On top of the 170.00 I had paid)Please save your money and take it to a reputable place of business.Don't be fooled by the replies Google sets up after the 1star reviews, I don't think Autonation will do anything to redeem themselves.

Don t waste your time with other dealerships. I highly recommend AutoNation. I live in a small town, so I have to drive long distances to look at vehicles. After several other dealerships treated me like I didn t matter to them, I decided to call autonation. Oscar helped me over the phone to build a price and deal on a used tundra. He is so friendly and helpful! Robert the sales manager also worked with me on assessing the value of my truck over the phone so I didn t have to make multiple trips to the dealership. RJ in finance also called me to go over my options. Everyone was so friendly it really was the polar opposite experience from every other dealership

My sales person was Connor and man I'm glad i got him! The first meet didnt end the way either of us wanted it too but he didn't give up on me and with luck and fortune apparently on my side we both came out on top! He never gave up on me even though it didn't seem like i was a guarantee buy and im so grateful for that because we ended getting to a hell of a deal car that i actually wanted when i first came in! Definitely a top tier salesman and recommend him to anyone purchasing new/used vehicle.

Oscar explained to us everything related to the car, the credit conditions and we greatly appreciate that he was very clear in the purchase of the car. They gave us a 4-year warranty. Thank you, Oscar, we owe you success.

I recently bought a vehicle from here that I had been checking out for about a month before walking in. I was greeted by Juan who was incredibly knowledgeable on the vehicle and very kind during our whole experience together. After deciding to buy the car I spoke to RJ in finance and he quickly took care of me and finalized the deal. Both Juan and RJ were true professionals and made my car buying experience very enjoyable. Thanks again for all yall did.

Bait and switch and breach of contract! I put a down payment on a 2012 Ford Escape. When I came back to pay the balance and pick up the car they told me they would not sell me the car unless they rewrote the contract and removed my "Limited Warranty." Who wants to buy a car with 130k miles on it that is "As Is?" Do not trust their multipoint inspection of who knows what. I questioned the transmission on the test drive and was going to take it to my mechanic. When they heard this they yanked the "Limited Warranty" that was my protection. Do not buy a car from these self serving swindlers.

Amber and Alex were fantastic. Amber followed-up after introducing me to how AutoNation buys cars. She contacted me as time progressed just the right amount of time to keep my interest and not bother me. Alex appraised my car quickly, asked reasonable questions to understand the car, and delivered a reasonable value. The manager assisted in speeding the final paperwork and I ll definitely use AutoNation again.

Purchased a vehicle from here that was supposed to be auto nation certified with the 90 day warranty to be able to take it back for any concern. Vehicle did have an issue that I was scheduled to come in for repairs. Second week in noticed a second concern with the vehicle emailed them about it never got a reply. Third week in vehicle broke down, vehicle was picked after talking to them because they didn t want to pick it up. They did a repair on it but when I went to pick it up noticed that the vehicle was running a little rough was told take it back the fallowing. Took it in neither one of the concerns was looked. Tried going in multiple times and they pretty much told me to take it somewhere else they can t do anything about, with the vehicle being under their 90 day warranty. Talking to management is a waste of time. Didn t help with anything just waited for the 90 days to pass with nothing was fixed or resolved.

Update: 12/11/2023. What is the point in talking to the general manager now? Will he be giving me a ride now?Josh at autonation was nice and courteous. While Josh was out Brandon Nelson was whom I met at the showroom. He could have been much nicer. I was told I would get a ride back when I drop my vehicle off. When I asked Brandon about the ride he said he could not reach the companies driver and the driver was not responding. How lame is it for a business? Whose fault is it if you are not able to reach your associates? When josh was back to work he came in for the paperwork to be signed as it was there s fault.Josh.service 5/5Brandon Nelson - 2/5

I was very satisfied with my transaction at AutoNation. Johnathon was very professional and the experience was better than I expected. I checked with multiple places and AutoNation gave me the best deal. The experience was without drama and very straight forward. I highly recommend AutoNation for your automotive needs.

In the process of buying a new car and wanted to determine the value of my trade in. Easy process, pleasant professional staff, and a nice facility. The initial offer was a low ball but when I told the estimator that would not work he asked what would. I responded with the tax savings of trading a car in it would need to be a minimum $$$. To his credit and I assume the manager he came back with an offer that met my minimum price but had to be taken that day. I didn t take the offer as the auto company I m buying my new car gave me a lower offer but with the sales tax savings it worked in my financial favor. I would do business with this company; be informed and ready to haggle.

The communication with this dealership is wildly insane and pathetic. Managers refuse to take your call or return your calls. They are impossible to get ahold of. They ordered me a vehicle from Florida told me there was no damage when it was shipped and arrived to San Antonio- took pictures at an angle very deceivingly And sent them to me to where i could not see the damage when i drove from corpus to San Antonio to pick it up i was appalled at the damage that was on the vehicle at the front. Bumper completely damaged, headlight damaged, fender damaged grill damaged. When i brought this up they stated they couldn t see it. Wow. The damage was extremely noticeable. After hours they finally reluncrly agreed to take off 2k of the price - which really wasn t Anthiny considering it cost 1800$ to ship it from Miami to San Antonio. You can forget about the dealership communicating with you about anything. They are scammers and just money hungry. They don t value you as a customer or care about your concerns. I ve also been calling regularly for three months about receiving my license plates and no one knows where they are or when i will get them.I wouldn t recommend this dealership to anyone. The service is garbage.

Fortunately, my husband bought an Audi truck, they offered an extended warranty for this unit. After a month and a half, we received a call that the monthly payment had gone down, to my surprise, they had eliminated the warranty. The truck was giving me problems from the moment it left that dealer. If you are going to buy a vehicle here, have it checked before buying it from the agency, you will avoid many problems in the future. (Your staff must be more cautious with consumers, we are the ones who feed all your dealers)

I had the worst experience with this dealership. Took our non-profits vehicle in for an appraisal after being quoted an amount over the phone. They then low balled us, they called a few days later (Friday) and offered me a higher appraisal amount. I asked them to call me on Monday and I would take it. Here we are on Monday and the appraisal has expired. There are much better dealerships out there.
