Carlos and his team have been providing excellent service to me for over ten years, most recently helping me diagnose and address a few nagging issues on one of my older classic cars. Having a mechanic that can be trusted to provide quality service at a fair price is a rarity. Carlos goes out of his way to create a best in class customer experience regardless of the size of the job!

Hope this review helps anyone needing auto servicing in San Antonio. I have been here twice in the last few years for work on my Toyota FJ Cruiser. These folks are great in diagnosing and fixing the issues I have had. Car repairs are frustrating for most of us, but I found an honest business that will give you a fair and honest price for your needs. Thanks much!

Honestly a very frustrating experience. They did a poor job and took two days for an oil change! I called in the day before at about noon seeing if I could get an oil change. The guy said I could come in at 9am and they confirmed the appointment. That morning I got there the lady seemed confused but knew I was there for a oil change so it didn't seem scheduled rather someone just left a note. I asked them if they'd be able to do it and they said yes. I left my keys and heard nothing for 6 hours before I went to work. I called and they said they'd do it between 4-5pm, 7 hours after I dropped it off. I called back at 5:10pm and they said it'd be done 30 mins before close! And asked me to pick it before 6pm! The next day the oil drain plug was not tightened and there was leaking oil down my transmission because they did not clean up their mess. I also asked them for an inspection under the front of my car and they said nothing about it. When I took it to another place they also immediately told me my ball joints and outer tie-rod ends were blown which they can easily see when they cleaned out my oil. I waited 9hrs and overnight for a messy oil change and they said the owner worked on my car!

I highly recommend Auto Service Experts based on my recent experience with them. I'm resurrecting a 1955 Ford F-100 and decided it was time to check out the differential and rear axle after stripping the truck down to the frame. This is my first rebuild, so I'm learning along the way. I took a chance on Auto Service Experts and was really glad that I did. So often, you pay for a service or work to be done and end up paying the most for the least. Not so with Carlos Rodriguez and his crew! They took on the rusty old rear end and went above and beyond rebuilding it. I say this because the rear end I brought in turned out to be an obsolete old Cadillac rear end that somebody swapped out before I got the truck with an incorrect rear wheel bolt pattern for my truck. Carlos found a Ford pickup rear end for me and rebuilt it specifically for the engine and transmission I'm planning to put into the truck. Lena at the front desk, kept me informed all along the way asking questions to make sure that I stayed up to date on what they were doing. I couldn't be happier with the finished product, and I'll tell you, that old truck is sure looking forward to sporting a most excellent rear end thanks to Carlos and his crew at Auto Service Experts. Go see 'em, that's my advice.

I recently had my alternator replaced at Auto Service Experts, and I'm extremely satisfied with the service I received. The staff was professional and knowledgeable, explaining the issue clearly and providing a fair estimate. The replacement was done efficiently, and my vehicle is running smoothly again. I appreciate their expertise and prompt service. I recommend this place to anybody in need of car repair!

Amazing customer service. Lena reached out to my warranty company and took care of everything along the way. She communicated regularly on the progress of my Jeep repairs. The repairs were top notch. Had my Jeep back on the road in no time! Definitely will be going back again if I need anything else done.

I just recently was having issues with my ac and I went to get my ac repaired and let me tell you it actually works better than it did before! It works so good and definitely much needed in this Texas heat! I got my discharge line, ac compressor and dryer fixed! I will no longer be taking my car anywhere else but here. They did a fantastic job and the receptionist was so kind and helpful! She definitely made the whole experience better. Thank you!Service: Auto maintenance

Went to get a quote and they never called me back to give me price or information. Expensive first time I went. Think I will stick with my original mechanics. Great prices great work and experienced mechanics.

I've brought my hybrid car here twice now and it has been a wonderful experience. They are one of the only shops in this area that are knowledgeable and willing to work on hybrids. Many of the other shops I've tired never seem comfortable or sure of themselves when working on hybrids. They are also very open, transparent, and honest with their customers when it comes to pricing. There are never hidden fees and they are very competitive with others on pricing. All in all, if you're looking for quality repairs and a great team, they really are Auto Service Experts.

I had my air conditioning unit replaced here just recently.Carlos, the owner / manager, was available and happy to answer my questions and, afterwards, made sure that I was happy with the results. And I must put in a good word for the receptionist who, herself, is very knowledgeable about cars. I would definitely recommend Auto Service Experts.Service: Auto maintenance

Probably one of the worst experiences we've ever had with an auto shop. Avoid at all costs! While they said they knew what they were doing, they clearly did not, and caused additional damage to the vehicle while charging over $5k in repair work and taking MONTHS to do their "repairs." A classic, "throw parts at it and see what happens" mentality. They should have just told me they didn't know what they were doing, at least then I'd have sympathy for them. They don't call you back when they say and they certainly don't provide the work they promise. I thankfully was able to get my vehicle to the dealership where they were able to fix the entire vehicle and Auto Service Experts mess ups. The military discount is appreciated but that $50 was a drop in the bucket after they made so much money off me and still gave me back a broken vehicle. STAY AWAY!

I went on a work trip and got stranded, I am beyond grateful for the incredible service and how fast they were what was a small issue I thought, was huge!!! The kindness and effort to get it working and the hard work to keep the cost low and still fix all the issues!! Called them on a Tuesday for a quote to have my exhaust worked on. Dropped off Wednesday morning, picked up Wednesday night. Then Thursday morning started on a 2 week long cross country road trip. Truck ran perfect, no warning lights. Great shop!

My experience with Auto Service Experts was great. Everyone was very professional, kind, communicative throughout the whole time my vehicle was being worked on and I loved that they explained in detail the issues my car was having not only to me, but also in my paperwork since I tend to forget. It was very helpful. They were honest and it's what I appreciated the most. I will definitely be bringing my car in here from here on out. We've been bringing both of our cars here for over three years and have always had a positive experience at Auto Service Experts! More so today, I called yesterday and specialist was able to squeeze me in this morning and my car was serviced within an hour despite the fact that they were short staffed! If you know this place, you know it's a hive of activity, so being crammed in and taken care of so quickly was incredible! Owner was both pleasant and professional! Always great and reasonable prices. I can't recommend it enough!

EXCELLENT JOB! I will definitely go back if I need any repairs on my vehicles. I was in need of major differential gear repair on my 1995 Chevy Truck. I started looking for a shop that did this kind of work and I found Auto Service Experts on google I took my vehicle in on a Tuesday and it was ready by Friday.. VERY IMPRESSED with the professional service I received I ask who worked on my Truck I was told by the receptionist the owner worked on my Truck.. Mr Rodriguez did an awesome Job. Spoke with Carlos regarding AC not cooling sufficiently. Brought my vehicle in the following day and they kept me informed throughout the process. Unfortunately the AC compressor was limping along and needed to be replaced along with the drier and condenser unit. Quoted a fair price with parts and labor included and they were able to order the parts and finish repairs by end of following day. I am very satisfied with the service recurved at their establishment and my family definitely appreciates the cold cabin now during this hot Texas summer.Services: Auto A/C recharge, Auto A/C replacement

Just got my old 2013 Altima back after the AC had been out for months. Not only does it work better than I remeber it working, They did it for a good bit less than the dealership was going to do it for.
