Stopped by today and received amazing service and help from Ozzy. He is so knowledgeable and helped me with a battery issue. He also recommended a couple of honest and reliable mechanics that are much closer to me than the last place. I m so grateful for his help! I highly recommend Advance Auto Parts on Austin Hwy. Had an incredible customer service experience with Tom, as he looked up my previous battery purchase, and was able to quickly diagnose my problem.Luckily my battery was still covered under manufacturer warranty, which he quickly provided with a replacement, dropped it in, secured, covered, and applied additional protection to my cars terminals all while being incredibly informative about each step he was taking to provide the utmost amount of exemplary customer service and care.Advance Autoparts is lucky to have a individual like him, taking great care and providing great service to customers in and around San Antonio.Thank you so much Tom!

Went in on Labor Day for a DieHard battery. Mine was still under warranty and Tom replaced it FREE. It was 100 degrees and Tom the manager was short handed, but he went out and replaced the battery in my 1989 F150 himself. Since it was lunch hour I expected to have to wait or come back. Somehow, Tom managed to be cheerfull and friendly and zero complaints despite the heat. I am liking Advanced more and more these days - my goto Auto store!

Chris was definitely a life saver, helped diagnose my bad battery and installed my new one which was not so easy due to the car but he got it done quick. Definitely recommend to come when Chris is here.

Tom is the goat. I purchased a battery that he whipped up and installed very quickly. My car was even missing the battery strap completely and he went and got a bolt that matched and installed that at no extra charge. Highly recommend

I just left AutoZone right down the street, completely irritated. I got here, to Advanced Auto parts, and Tom was eager and happy to help me with my very minor issue. Tom immediately asked me for my phone number, and addressed me by my name and treated me as if we were old friends. He had amazing conversation, and put a smile back on my face to keep my Tuesday morning positive. Complete opposite of the experience I just had at AutoZone. They could definitely learn something about customer service from Tom at Advanced Auto parts. Thank you so much Tom for going above and beyond. You rock!!

Had to have my battery replaced, and despite it being HELL HOT, and my car being weirdly designed, Cliff was very patient and professional and got it done. Best service I've received at any auto parts store, ever.

Today I went to AutoZone 1st to get me a belt for my fusion and they gave me the wrong one my husband went to advance and I went in with him and I asked them for a belt for my car and they had the right one they had everything we needed the guy that helped us made us laugh the whole time great service very helpful

The staff at this particular location are for the most part very helpful and courteous. Although they have been infiltrated by a couple of employees that are LAZY and do everything in there power to avoid interactions with any customers, be it in person OR on the phone. It is obvious that they are trying to do as little as possible while on the time clock. This is unfortunate as lines begin to form and any hopes you may have had of getting in and out just went out the window. Seems like the work load is being forced onto the new guys that don't have a lot of experience thus you stand a 50/50 chance of getting the correct parts. ((UPDATE))I attempted to give this store another try on 12/18/22. No change!!! As I walked into the store it was empty, I stepped up to the counter were there was a young man sitting on the other side of the counter (had bright red hair) and he sat there on his phone completely ignoring my presence. This went on for at least 5 minutes until another worker that was helping a customer outside stepped up and had to tell the guy to help me. After letting out a loud HUFF the young man set his phone down and asked if he could help me. My reply was "no" and I walked out and went down the road to O'Reilly's. I'll never step another foot into this store. They lost my business indefinitely.

Osvaldo is a real one. The exact dude you want behind the counter. Dude was solid knowledge on everything multiple suggestions saw my car pull up already telling me parts for my car. Excellent attitude. Great customer service you don't see anymore but you'd love to have

Five Star service i usually don t leave reviews but my man Ozzy the goat and I wish I could ve handled myself as he did the store had a problematic customer getting mad at my boy Ozzy because he didn t have his receipt which was weird but then Ozzy says he can refund it to any card with his name on it. Some how the dude interpreted him saying that as him being upset. Ozzy had lunch delivered by his women and simply mentioned that he can t wait to eat the food she brought to him.( I add the customer is the one who even brung up the food and his girlfriend) For some reason dude took offense to that aswell. Saying that he was being rushed for him to eat food. the line was getting longer and longer cause the customer unwillingness to stop rambling and listen. After Ozzy got it situated customer walks out then comes back asking what s his name threatening him saying I better get my money weird again .all Ozzy responded with is I totally understand your frustration. Which to me A+ response cause I definitely didn t understand why the dude was upset like he was trying to start a problem.

Love this location. Kind of difficult to get to right now due to all the construction and traffic. I really like this location because I can order online and then just swing by to pick up. They're never too busy help ya out either. And someone always makes sure my new batteries get installed, or burnt out lamps get replaced. This last visit I just dropped in before I made a purchase. I needed a new shifter grip for my Stang & just so happens O remembered my back right blinker was out. So got it replaced right there and then. When someone does a install for me I always make sure to hand them a few bucks for helping me. I don't think they are suppose to accept it because they are always hesitant to accept. And if that's case well then Corporate needs to be ashamed of themselves for enforcing it. Down here in South Texas you go outside in the deadly heat and crawl in the trunk of a black car to help a customer and tell me you wouldn't want accept a cold drink.

I went in to look at some wax, compound and detailing items. Steve was very knowledgeable and answered every one of my questions. He is optimistic and very courteous. Advance Auto is lucky to have a gentlemen like this in their employment.Thanks Steve!

Great Experience in getting what I needed for my Ford Explorer. John, the Manager is so Knowledgeable and Provided me Superior Customer Service. He is someone You can Trust for getting the Right Parts, and Advice in keeping your Vehicle maintained. This Store will be my Auto Parts Store for Life. His Employees also are Very Polite and helped Carry my Purchases to my Vehicle. Would Recommend this Auto Parts Store Highly.

So nice & patient w/ me. They weren't busy but I've been to many places where there were no other customers maybe one other besides me and people weren't courteous who work there. So I still give him credit for being kind and patient with me because I was already upset about something with my car that happened before I even got there. Kudos.

The Austin hwy store has employees who actually care about customers and the service they provide us. I was so relieved to know that I could continue to enjoy the best discounts and overall pricing that I get here because after my experience on culebra rd I almost never shopped advance auto again. This store renewed my confidence in their company as a whole.

Went in to price check some parts I needed. They priced out the same as oreillys and auto zone, but the guys working were by far friendlier and more professional. They helped me as if I was a long time friend and answered every question I had knowledgeably.Don t waste a stop dealing with the grumpy and careless staff at the oreillys across the street. Go here first and I guarantee you won t regret it.

After having a difficult time at Walmart with them not wanting to put my new battery on due to a corroded terminal, I came over here to see how much a new one would cost. Steve was a lifesaver!!!! He got the terminal right off, battery out, brand new terminal put on, and new battery installed. He showed me every step and was so nice and friendly. He didn't treat me like I didn't know anything since I was a woman. This will now be my go to auto store thanks to Steve!!!!

John, at your Austin Highway store, was so helpful during my time of "distress" . Knowledge of inventory was impeccable and he can multi-task with such fluidity!! Extremely busy store and I go there for all my automotive needs and leave very satisfied. If I owned a business I'd "steal" him from you. Total passion for his job and very pleasant personality!! The folks at Advance Auto Parts have been very helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable to me for a decade now. They have ordered parts when I needed what they didn't have in stock and they have always been fair priced. They are my go to place for automotive needs for my 5 vehicles. Really haven't ever had a bad experience in 10 years business with Advance Auto Parts.

Poor customer service . The guy at the counter keep repeating every word. Like he can't caught up with accent. Let me remind you America is a melting pot. When I asked for any tools to change a lightbulb he is like I don't know what you need. Very bad customer service. I'll take my business elsewhere.
