Excellent job. With one vehicle, a 2017 Yukon XL we had to be strategic in how and when we left it. I went in on Friday for a diagnostic and the manager RJ said I can do it now if you have a couple of hours. Well having to pick up the grandkids from school I didn't have the time. I asked him if I could take it in the next day, Saturday and a day they close early. He said bring it in the morning and we'll knock it out in about the time it takes for an oil change. My wife took it in and waited just a little over an hour. This was front end work with stabilizer, and sway bar bushings in front suspension. Used all heavy duty parts and did a great job. Totally recommend them.

Took my car there to have a part replaced and gave me back my car leaking fluid. They blamed it on the weather and told me to drive like that. It then got worse. They said it needed to be replaced again. only about a year has passed before it got really bad and part was not under warranty anymore. I Replaced the part myself and found out the part they put was not correct one. It looked the same but the area where it's supposed to have one sensor it had two. Looks like he plugged the second sensor area. I'm thinking he put a used part from another Ford car that has the same looking part and that's why it was leaking, maybe it had a broken or used seal. I bought the part again and it looks right and as soon as I replaced it no more leaking. We had cold weather this year and it did not leak. That says to me that the weather wasn't why it was leaking like they said when they replaced it. When they had it there to check it the mechanic working on my car messed up other parts. I work on my own vehicles and I took it to them this one time because I needed as soon as possible or else I would of done it myself if I had the time.Definitely will not go back to that shop ever again. They were very expensive. They charged me around $800 last time and when I did it I spent for the part and fluid about $100 and took me an hour to finish.It's running good now but have to replace other parts that mechanic messed up. When we take our vehicles to get serviced I don't think they should give it back to the customers leaking fluid like that. I kept the part Incase someone ever asks to see it. Wish I could get my money back for the tow and the messed up job they did. I feel I got ripped off.

I took my 2010, don't tundra? It was having a faulty d sensor on my transmission. I told the people the problems that I was having. They said they can figure it out $350 later. They couldn't figure it out. They said it was a vow body problem. They try to charge me almost $5000 for the problem. I told him I was gonna wait as soon as I took my truck and got home. The engine light went on and the same problem that my $15 b O. B. D That I bought at Walmart. Kept on telling me that the sensor d on the transmission wasn't opening up. They said they did a diagnostics and found out that it was the bow body. I asked them what type of diagnostic was it? They said they connected it to the harness. And I told them that that's not the way. It's supposed to be done because I googled it. And they said that you need to check the sensors to see how much voltage they produce. And they did not do that, so how can they figure out? It was my bowel body. If that was the problem. No, it was not. It was the decencer because I replaced it myself. Drove it around and the engine light didn't go on now. I'm asking them to refund me. My $350 for something. They could have done themselves which they did not. So if that was you all I will not give to this. I'm close transmission because they are a scam. I trusted them and they lied to me. They lost my trust, so please people before you take it to these places. Do your research because there are scams? That's all they know how to do. I grade them at a 10 because that's all they do is lie and lie just to take your money and not fix the problemwhen it's a simple fix. They're not happy making a little bit of money. They want it all.

Awesome honest people. Not gona say the best priced but nothing is cheap on cars and trucks anymore. Phil running the shop showed me step for step what was wrong what it needed and and explained everything no extra fluff and saved me a bunch of money from going to a hack anywhere else!!!!!

Having a older classic it is hard to find someone to help with it's updates and repairs. It is so good to have a place to take it to where they understand these types of cars and trucks the same as last years models. They treat my car like it is their own. No job has been to small or to large for them to help me on. It is great to deal with a 'family' type of business instead of a corporation. Always professional while still being very friendly. Honest is good to find in today's world.

Bill (the owner) was nice and transparent on cost. Dropped off the vehicle, Rj (the mechanic) did routine maintenance of my company car. Vehicle is running great. Was able to get the SUV back the same day. I would rate it 10 stars if I could!! I was devastated when my transmission went out on me! I had taken my car to 2 mechanics, (who were very dishonest with me) prior to taking it to Aamco. When I called Aamco, Phil greeted me kindness and reassured me that my vehicle was in good hands. It proved to be true! Phil kept me informed about my vehicle repairs every step of the way. It was clear to me that he was extremely knowledgeable because he explained everything to me in a way I could understand. This made me feel even more comfortable about the repairs. I was even more impressed with how quickly the work was done! Now, I am back on the road and my car runs great!! I am so grateful for Phil's professionalism! Great experience here. We had an issue with our transmission and Phil was able to get our SUV fixed in short order. He explained the issue, diagnosed it, repaired knowing that we were about to take a long road trip. He took the extra care and time to ensure that we would have no issues and even booked a follow up for when we return from our trip. I highly recommend this location.

Phil got a call from us in the evening and was so kind and accommodating. Our transmission went out downtown and we had our family s town & country van towed directly to him. Within a few days we had our van back with a brand new transmission and our car drives like new. He was professional, and most importantly, affordable. He has competitive pricing and the financing without interest saved us! Would definitely recommend!

I don't normally do a review unless I have a bad experience but this time I feel compelled to write a good review. I had multiple oil leaks on my Chevy Tahoe and couldn't afford getting them all repaired at once. Phil made me an offer I couldn't refuse. He took great care of me and Ignacio, the mechanic is a wizard with automobiles. They offered me a lift to and from home while they kept my truck. They did exactly what they told me they were going to do. The work was superior. I could go on. People, give this location of AAMCO a chance. You won't be disappointed....

My boyfriends work van was not accelerating so I called different shops around my area and decided to go with AAMCO. They offered a free tow and estimate if you ended up using their services. We opted to move forward and Phil had our van ready in a couple of days. The price was reasonable which also included 18 months of warranty. My boyfriend says the van feels so much smoother and not as forced. From someone who was a little worried and didn t know what shop to go to I think we did a good decision choosing this AAMCO.

I took my 7 year old vehicle in for what I thought was going to be a very expensive transmission issue, but Phil informed me it was not as intrusive a problem. He and his team did a great job getting me back on the road within a day, and the price of services rendered was very reasonable. I even added an oil change to my service since it was so convenient. My family is going to keep using AAMCO for our auto needs. Thanks again, Phil!

By chance I decided to take my car here over my dealership down the street. Although the dealership would've gotten it done faster, they would have charged much more than AAMCO. Phil was awesome and walked me through all the repairs to make sure I knew what was happening (which is something my dealership rushes through) and kept me in the loop with the timeframe. Also, they had an issue with a vendor which affected my car. AAMCO did the right thing and compensated me for my rental even though it wasn't their fault. No questions asked. GREAT SERVICE AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. Hope not to be back too soon but I would choose AAMCO for my future car services. Thanks again Phil!

I paid 617$ of my hard working money on this place, I made a straight deal with this Phil guy , to have my truck fixed and instead he just took my money , didn t fix a darn thing . Gave me my truck back still broken then blocked my number very mean place of business. I asked clearly what was going to be fixed before I paid and he completely jipped me please don t fall for what I fell for ,it s really hard to find an honest mechanic Service: Engine repair

Phil is AMAZING!!!This business knows how to find and fix the issues with your car. I wasn t sure what was wrong with my minivan. It took them little time to take care of the problem and get me in my way. Phil is an angel! I trust him and AAMCO and strongly recommend this shop to anyone needed quality service from amazing people.

Amazing Service and Honest Service! Gary was honest about my car and the repairs it needed. My car was experiencing some steering wheel vibrations and no one could figure out why. I took it to Gary at AAMCO and he found out that I had to get some wheel bearing assemblies replaced on my vehicle. He was very helpful and understanding that I was a student so he ensured the repairs were within my budget. I would definitely recommend this location and repair service center to anyone who wants honest, quality work done at a reasonable price. Thanks AAMCO Transmission

This experience has been one to remember. I will recommend everyone of my friends that has a problem with their car to AAMCO. Shawn is the best!!! He did not sugar coat anything and was very helpful. He saw that I had a ride home and really kept me up to date with what was going on. Also Gary was the guy who set up an appointment for me and explained everything to me. I loved the service and will be a returning customer if anything else happens to my truck. Thank you guys.

I paid almost $6000 that I could have used on another vector I was ensured it would fix the issue I took it in for got it back DAYS after I was promised radio no longer works now, the issue wasn't fixed and all I get told was we didn't do anything that would cause that take it to ..... & they should be able to fix radio for $45 but why NOTHING was wrong with it to start plus my bigger issue is WHY do I still have same issue I took it for if not worse?! When I would call to check on status since they didnt call even thought it was over time they said I got rude responses from Bill. When I went to pay thinking it was fixed I asked about the $250 discount was told by Phill its to late I understand it's closing time but it was 5mins after nothing like the 6 days extra I had to pay for rides!

Phil is a great manager! He and his team got my clutch fixed affordably and quickly (faster than expected) the shop is clean inviting and welcoming. I'll be using them for repairs to include some upcoming exhaust work. I 100% recommend this location for any auto repairs.

All that I remember is the low quality work that they did on my Volvo. Complete garbage after $7k but of course the manager will answer by saying we would like to know more about your case don t waste your time here

I would just like to publicly thank all the fine young men who work at this AAMCO Transmission location in San Antonio. They all seemed so nice and professional. They did a wonderful job repairing the noise my car was making. I had taken it to another transmission shop where I was told I needed to have the transmission rebuilt for a cost of $2500. I was not comfortable with how they addressed checking my car or how they spoke to me. I felt I might be taken advantage of and decided I needed a second opinion. I sure am glad I did this. It saved me hundreds of dollars. They checked my car here and determined my front wheel bearing was making the noise and not the transmission. I had them fix the wheel bearing and my noise is completely gone. I was surprised that they even got it done the same day. I will certainly recommend this AAMCO Transmission auto service center to all my friends. Thanks again and great job.

Very happy with my experience with this shop. My transmission died on a Saturday after hours. Shawn arranged a tow truck to get it to the shop and met my dad there when everyone else was gone. Within a week my transmission was re-built. Shawn has been great at speaking to my dad about every detail and dime that is involved. Very upfront about warranty and future upkeep. My father and I are very pleased and would recommend.

Phil and his team took very good care of my car. I was treated respectfully throughout the process, and even with more limited experience navigating car troubles, all of my questions were taken seriously. Much appreciated. Will certainly be going back if I need a hand.
