I was on the hunt for a gas station and came upon this place. It's miles down the road from the actual exit. I thought I would never get there. For a travel center, it's not the most attractive. It's fairly basic and when I pulled in there was only one car. I will say someone was cleaning the pumps, so that's a plus.Speaking of pumps they a poet to be fairly new. There's no NFC option, but it's a nice pump. I didn't venture inside the store, so I can't speak to that experience. If there's anything I'd suggest it would be fixing the enter and exit into the area. The potholes are atrocious.

The Restaurant is closed until February the 3 Nice cozy place to park a semi. Plenty of quiet for a good night's sleep. Restrooms are very clean and fresh smelling. Really enjoy the country setting.

Currently hailing with a tornado warning and heavy winds. My wife was on the interstate almost home and tried to pull over at this travel center, that we frequently visit to buy snacks and fuel, and take shelter here. Employees refused to let her or anyone else trying to take shelter inside and demanded that everyone leave the parking lot as well. I can't support a business that will not support its community in a time of need with something as simple as taking shelter during a storm. I will not be stopping for fuel or anything else here anymore.

I got two tuna salad sandwiches and a pint of milk for $8.00. At 20:00 on a Saturday there were only 5 trucks here. There was room for more than twice as many trucks. I wanted to buy a couple glad hand seals (grommets) but there were no trucker supplies in the convenience store.

The only thing good about this place is the privacy, I'm the only truck in the whole parking lot.

Cheap fuel, good selection inside, fountain Dr. Pepper is decent. Clean, you can tell it's an older truck stop but it's clean. People are very friendly! Has a restaurant, not sure how the food is but sure smells good! And has a little thrift store too. Only thing is it's not 24 hrs. Other than that I'm very nice.

BE WARE !!! I stopped at this place to fill up with gas on my way in from San Marcos. The guy in the store was nice and pleasant. My husband pumped the gas and grabbed the receipt as he always do when we stop while traveling and handed it to me. We drove off and while driving, I pulled up my bank account to check charges as I always do and this place charged me $75.00 for gas when my husband pumped $56. I called the store and a lady answered and told me that it is a hold and would correct itself. I told her that I have never been charged a hold fee when I pay at the pump and have a receipt to prove what was pumped and charged to my card. She rudely said that I could call back the next day and talk to the manager. No sorry or nothing. Her tone made me feel like this happens all the time. I called the bank and was told that the charge was not a hold, it was a actual charge and yes it is still on my account not balanced out to the actual amount. I had to file a claim with my bank to get this handled. Make sure you check your account if you get gas here!!!

Very dirty, smells like an ashtray. Limited stock and they had no price tags on their items. You must spend a minimum of $5 in order to use a debit card. I recommend skipping this place and stopping at a different gas station.

I'd rate this place zero stars if I could. Went in and the crotchety old man behind the counter pretty obviously didn't want to be there. Currently 7:55 pm and they've already been closed at least half an hour. "grill" closes at 2pm. Who the hell decided on the hours for this place? They obviously don't want any business. Also extremely overpriced, almost $20 for 2 burritos, a bag of bugles and a couple cans of soup. I will not be returning.Avoid!

The travel center is nothing special, but all the staff were extremely friendly. The diner was spacious and clean, and the Cheeseburger Special, with the large drink upgrade, at just over $5.00, was a pleasant surprise. A large gravel over blacktop parking area for big trucks was a little rough with some potholes, but adequate for parking. I've seen chain truckstops with worse access. All in all, a pleasant experience.

I am a previous employee of this place, and glad to be gone. Food is good, that's about it. Prices are way too high, people get holds on their credit cards for fuel purchases almost daily. There black mold growing in the ceiling in the storage room, and in the cracks of the floor beside the pantry and freezer. The company actually took money from my paycheck because of a paperwork issue. I was allegedly $170 short on my till, two days in a row, when in reality I wasnt.

Nice Ma and Pa shop. Has showers and a restroom and a little eatery. Not overly crowded and cleaner than some trucks stops. Typical truck stop pricing though. The Old man was very nice. I ll definitely stop here again

Food was great! I stuck around to eat because of all the good reviews and all the good ones were correct! Plenty of parking as well. People showing up all through the night still had plenty of spots and it was a real nice and quick place. Perfect hole in the wall spot

Honestly, the only thing I like about this place is the fact that few people know it's here. I've never seen the parking lot full. Now for the juicy tidbits. The parking lot has more craters than the moon. If you're not careful you'll lose a vehicle.Unlike real truck stops this one is only open part time. And the restaurant only for breakfast and lunch.Selection? I've been to Rest Areas with a bigger food selection than the store. They have 70% more miscellaneous items than food. Oh, and 90% of the non food items are "Impulse Buy" items. Stuff you don't really need and will probably throw away within a month.Rest Room. See the photo. Their plumbing is so bad, though not their fault, that you can't flush paper. (I think I'm gonna be sick)

Loved the Pet Park of this establishment. It's quite an attraction. You can see it from the side of the highway. Also the lady inside was very proud the station sells shirts that say "Deez Nuts". Totally recommend buying the shirt as it makes for a good talking piece.

Well kept secret along I35E just south of Temple, 10 miles. I've been going there for a long time. Lots of truck parking but not as good after a heavy rain due to gravel & dirt parking lot. Concrete in front for cars. Used to be a Texaco with a perfect highway exit until the State came along, now you have to pay attention to where you exit

You HAVE to stop at the deli and get some Aged steaks or jerky! The rest of the stop is like any other mom and pop truck stop. Showers have great water pressure though!

The gentleman told me God bless as I made my way to leave and was exceptionally nice. You just don t get that anymore. I ll make it a point to stop here in my travels (which I do often) versus the big corporate gas stops from now on. Thank you for putting a smile on my face on a long drive home and God bless.

This is a fun old school truckstop. There is only two pumps and the lot has some big potholes but it is very clean and the staff has a lot of heart. Stop in and support this traditional Texas truckstop and you will certainty experience some old school hospitality.

If I could put a negative star I would. First my Daughter went in with my card to buy 3 things. She forgot my pin and came out and asked me, I told her and she went back in and James took MY card out of the machine and would not give it to her saying there was an error. So she came out and I went in to get my card and pay. The guy wanted my ID so I went back out in the storm and got it. Then he wouldn't just hand my card and ID back to me. I was finally able to grab it from his hands. He told me not to snatch it from him..#1 it was mine and he was not giving it back and #2 he had no right to have even taken it in the first place. He then grabbed the pack of cigs and candy back and I said that's fine I don't want to give you any more money. I get home and on the card I bought gas with was that $75 charge for the $25.11 in gas I got and I was told the same thing that it is a "hold". THEN on the card he wouldn't give back right away and grabbed the merchandise back from me there is a charge for $12.51. I called back up and spoke to him and he didn't really care and said he would wait till the end of the day to see if it went thru. Well needless to say I will be filing a fraud charge on this thru my bank. I grew up managing convenience stores and this is NOT the way things work. How is this S$@!hole still in business. James also told me he is the manager and that he doesn't have a boss. We will see once the fraud charges get filed tomorrow.

This place is a dump, they Nickle and dime you on everything, five dollar minimum purchase with a card even if you just spent 200 on diesel. The exits in both directions from here are reasonable. They still smoke inside here. It s trash.

There was only one coffee pot and no to-go food. The diner is open from 0600-1400, then slim pickings. Station isn't open 24hrs either. Decent overnight inna pinch but kinda off the beaten path.

They got a billboard advertisement on I-35 that reads " Mexican Food, Trucker's parking".So I stopped. THERE IS NO MEXICAN FOOD, AT ALL. ever. There is nothing even hot served here. It's just a convenience store with junk food and soda. Total scam.

Hole in the wall type place, friendly staff and had fuel when everyone else was either out or out of power, had the dumb luck of being in Texas for their snow event. Nice lady at the counter, she was very helpful about the fueling system.

Place has a broken trap under one of the drains; this means sewage gases are backing up into the store area. When we told the attendant, she got surly and told us she was taking care of it. Her idea of taking care of it was to pour bleach down the drain...this will mask the smell but not stop toxic fumes from entering the store....where food is sold. No bueno!
