Beware !!!I took my Jeep to the shop and they completely misdiagnosed the problem. They told me that my Jeep had a wobbly crankshaft and that the engine was going to fail. They were going to change me thousands of dollars for a new engine that wasn t needed. I later took my Jeep to another shop and found out that the problem was a bad harmonic balancer, which only cost $250 to fix.BEWARE!!

John, the owner of Motorman Garage was extremely friendly and he went above and beyond to get my vehicle up and running after it had not been driven in a couple of years. His estimate quote was fair and honest.He called me the afternoon he got the car and said it was ready to be picked up! Super fast service! There were no hidden fees and he didn't try to up-charge me for anything. When I picked up the vehicle, not only did he fix everything for me but he also washed my car!He is an honest mechanic and one you can trust to fix everything without trying to upsell. I highly recommend!!Thank you, John!

John is a straight shooter who does great work for a really fair price. He will fix what needs fixing and is proactive. If he sees a problem, he calls to let you know and will quote you for the work. Motorman Garage was able to fit us in the same day I called about a needed brake repair--they got the job done and our vehicle back to us that afternoon.� When an unanticipated complication arose from that repair, they promptly took care of it and resolved the issue.

These guys are great! They are very quick, honest and get the job done right the first time. It is very difficult to find a honest mechanic and I am grateful I found these guys. The only place I ll take my car to. He is honest, and fair. Upfront about everything including prices. Very thankful he has good intentions as a car repair man. If a problem can wait to be fixed he will tell me. Start saving but it s not a concern. Most places would have said leave here and it ll be $1,000.I recommend everyone take their cars there.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

I moved to Austin about 8 months ago and was looking for a mechanic relying solely on online reviews and word to mouth. Following the great advice to bring my cars to John was the best decision. If you need a no BS, honest and very experienced mechanic who fixes your cars and gives you options all with a reasonable price, you have found the right guy.I guess I read straight shooter here somewhere, that's absolutely right! On top of it, I enjoyed chatting with him every time I was there. What a great guy & place!

I appreciate this garage. Great mechanic, repairs are done quickly and it has always been done right when he said it would be. There haven't ever been any surprises when I pay the bill like I have had other places. This is the first place I call when we need work done.

It's very hard to find an experienced, trustworthy, honest, no BS mechanic, but John is one of the very rare few who is. Everytime I get a car repaired at Motorman Garage, John calls after the repair to check on the car. I live close enough to Motorman Garage that he even drops me off and picks me up from my house. Very highly recommended.

Great honest work, after calling several mechanics and getting outrageous quotes, I wised up and took my car into Motorman Garage. Fair, honest work!! Had one issue that he fixed in 1hr and didn't give me any run around and gave me an honest price! This type of service is hard to find. I highly recommend Motorman Garage.

John is friendly, honest, and doesn't try to upsell unnecessary repairs. He's worked on a truck of mine twice now, and even though I am moving from the area I will drive his location when I need to get work done again. Highly recommend mechanic.

I don't review many goods/services. Something has to be truly outstanding to make me willfully and publicly review it. I usually dread interactions with mechanics, or even worse, the sales staff of a chain automotive repair shop that visibly foam at the mouth at my automotive ignorance. That said, I was taken aback at how honest and straight forward the entire process was, and I look forward to many years of repeat business at motorman.

Definitely a good honest man. I will always try to call him first to see if he s available or if he can do a certain type of work on my car. Last time I asked for something he wasn t able to do it due to equipment BUT he gave me the names of other shops. I highly recommend!

My husband and I have been customers of Motorman since 2008, when my AC went out at the beginning of summer. I sweated through many hot days because several shops wanted to do drastic work to my AC system for a couple of thousand dollars, which I couldn't afford. John took a look and let me know that just a small part needed replacing and the bills was a fraction of the other places. Since then he's worked on both our vehicles (a 2000 and 2006 Mazda) and been fair and honest in all our dealings. If it's not ust standard maintenance he'll call you after he's inspected the issue, answer any questions and let you know his quote up front, before you spend any money. He's a nice guy and we are thankful to have a mechanic we trust when the cars need work

Ive been a repeat customer for the last 5 years to Motorman. I have also sent family and friends to see him. He has always been friendly, available, and honest. Its impossible to take my car to a big box shop when there are local people like motorman. Easy 5 stars to give

I had to have my engine replaced on a 2004 Expedition. Most shops quoted me a cost of upwards of 5k and would take a week to do. Motorman did the job for 2k and had it done in 3 days. The truck runs great and I recommend the shop to all my friends. It just goes to show that fair and honest shops/mechanics do exist. Thanks guys!

Thank you lord for finally connecting me with aReliable, reasonable mechanic with integrity. Went to Christian Brothers for brakes and they gave me a list of all kinds of items of concern. Aside from the BS and apples to apples on the brake work I saved over $300 and my braking performance is excellent. Like new!!.

Motorman garage is amazing! They replaced my fuel pump (located inside the gas tank) with a full tank of gas in less than 24 hours!

I had a wheel bearing go bad, and from diagnostic to the time I drove out was only an hour and a half (and that included getting the part delivered); on top of it, John let me bring in the car right at 6pm on a Monday and stayed to finish the job so I'd have a safe vehicle to drive home in. It was a more-than-reasonable price for the service. I'll be bringing my car to him for any future repairs.

Every time my car breaks down I know I am going to bring it to Motorman Garage where my problem will be fixed, and the mechanics will actually try to save me money. I m a customer for life. John is a car wizard.
