J-Rod s Speed Shop is by far the best GM, Dodge/Mopar, and FORD performance shop in the Houston, TX area and in the State of Texas. Their customer service and communication is absolutely outstanding, and their work product and results speak for themselves. They built and tuned my 2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1. It runs, drives, and performs like a stock ZL1 but makes 300+ more wheel horsepower. Can t say enough about JR (Manager), the shop, and their entire team. They have my car performance business from here on out - and I have been to 4 different shops before them. Trust me - they really are the most legit, honest, and trustworthy shop around. Can't say enough good things about Jrods. Great work from a family business that is not involved in social media drama like many other Houston shops are involved in. They do not waste time and will let you know exactly what your car needs. I could not ask for a better experience, thank you Jr and team!

I can t speak highly enough about Jr and team. I came in with an 08 Z06 that was making a ticking sound. The team diagnosed the problem immediately (lifter/camshaft failure). They saved my engine.We then worked together to not only repair these issues, but also upgrade key components (heads, cam, springs, guides, oil pump, timing chain, rocker trunions, catch can, plugs, wires, high-flow cats, etc.) before taking her to get dyno retuned, putting down just under 600hp to the wheels in the Texas heat of August.My vette has a sick chop, great parking lot manners, is smoother to drive normally, and can still gap most cars. I will use them for all work going forward and cant recommend them enough.Services: Exhaust, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Auto maintenance, Oil change

Great job !!! I took my car in for some work and jr. and his team killed it amazing work very professional and they know what they are doing. Kept me updated on the car and progress. Car came out amazing ! Hands down the best place for your car needs!! 5 star rating is not enough easy 10/10. Don t waste your time and money going to the other guys, Jrods speed shop is the place for you. Can t say thank you enough! By far these are the best people to work with and do the best work. I just had them do quite a lot of work to my car after a few things broke and the work is second to none. They really take their time to make sure that everything is correct and I trust them completely.I ship my car from Florida to Houston just so they can work on it and I know it is done right. I do not even question if they say something needs fixed on my car because I know they do right by their customers.Thank you to Jamie and Jrod for all the help and the best customer service that you can ask for. Do not waste your time even thinking of any other shops because they will not even do close to the job that J-Rod does.The fact that they sent me photos of the progress of my car meant a lot and made me feel like they were trying to assure me my car is safe.

My C6Z has gone to them twice. Originally for a h/c/i build then a trans/clutch swap. Both jobs were executed flawlessly and clean. If you are looking for a shop that will deliver a clean product on the first go around, j rods is the place to go.

Best performance mechanic for GM vehicles I've seen. They worked on two of my cars and both times have been returned proper, and performed great. The only shop amongst its competitors in the Houston area that I've heard of that doesn't have any bad reviews or strange stories. Always hear good things about them.

Nowadays it s hard to find a trustworthy shop to work on your car. At J-rod s I felt right at home. My c6z had been leaking oil. Jr took my car in and wasted no time to inspect it. Sure enough it was the oil pan and parts were ordered. The job was completed in a timely manner and I felt confident that they would do it right. Now I have the car back and my issues have been fixed. I m extremely happy with the guys here at J-rod and I recommend anyone that needs performance work to bring their racecar here. They definitely have my future business. Thank you guys!

J-rod + MS tunning are a great team! Good people. Great work ethic & best of all they know how to get the job done properly! Cough cough unlike a few shops i don't want to mention. Don't bother going to any other performance shop in the Houston area. These guys are it!

I took my 2001 Ford lightning here! After been hosed by several other shops they did a great job and fixed my issue the first time. And since they are teamed with MS Tuning my truck runs great!!! So if you have Ford Lightning please don't waste your time with other shops take it to J Rod's.

Camaro and Corvette and Cadillac enthusiasts over here best shop around Houston and maybe around us itself with Matt sorian as a badass tuner this shop is amazing these guys will work with you and they'll give you an amazing car you'll always be wild when you leave the shop seeing that your baby gain that much more power these guys do a great job and they had great attitude I'll be bringing my car more often to get work done, tunes and everything else in between.
