We were in Rockport on vacation when the driver's side window of our van collapsed. Jimmy was amazing, we brought our van in the next morning at 8 o'clock and he had it done by noon... price was extremely reasonable ..quality of work was excellent, we could not have asked for a better result! He really knows how to fix cars and does it need to rely on the computer to tell him what to do! We were very pleased our vacation was not disrupted and we highly recommend his shop.

Jimmy at Cooling's Automotive is a top notch mechanic as well as a top notch person. He advised me that he was booked and would try to fit my truck in. He took care of me first thing in the morning. He replaced my AC belt. He worked quickly and prices were outstanding. I recommend Cooling's for their expertise and more importantly their integrity.Service: Auto A/C replacement

Jimmy is awesome! I called and talked to him about my ac not working anymore. He came up with a good solid plan to diagnose my truck. He got my ac working again for a extremely reasonable price! I strongly recommend contact Jimmy if you need work on your vehicle, he is a great mechanic!

Had an issue with fuel filter on my 2500 hd that oil change place couldn t get off ,so called Jimmy he said bring it down to shop and he would get to it . Jimmy took a few minutes away from his very busy day to take a quick look at my Jeep. He didn t have to but he did, because he could tell I was worried about whether I could make it all the way back home to San Antonio. He told me that I would be able to make it and he was correct. Also, he did not want to accept any payment for his time. This short event was the best part of my day yesterday, as Jimmy is a kind, helpful and good man - with great dogs!

On the advice from a long time local I took my 4WD truck in to get all the drive line fluids changed. This included dropping the transmission pan and replacing the filter as opposed to simply doing a transmission flush.Did what I asked for and didn t try to upswell. If fact he told me that if he ran into anything he didn t feel comfortable with, he would recommend a specialist. All went well, very reasonable price. Very honest person in my opinion

Jimmie let us know up front....he was booked solid. But he would do a quick check, if he could fix it, he'd work us in--Next week. Unfortunately, it is a Major Problem. Our truck needs a specialist. Jimmie pointed us to the right local shop. We appreciated his fast, friendly, expert advice.

We have been using Jimmy for years. It is hard to find a good mechanic with good pricing AND a good heart. He has always treated us right and that's why we have all our family and friends going to him.

Our 2014 Honda CRV started making a horrible metal on metal sound while we were in Rockport on a Friday afternoon. We stopped in at Cooling's to see if they could take a look at it. The manager or owner came out from his shop and listened and looked with specialized tools and thought it was either the water pump or alternator bearings. Unfortunately, he was swamped with other projects and couldn't get to it for at least a week. He did refer us to a couple of other shops in the area and refused to accept any money for the time he spent with us.I wish we could have waited for his to do the repairs but had to get it fixed as quickly as possible. Turns out, it was the water pump as he had correctly diagnosed.

Jimmy was up front about being busy and the time frame to get the job done in ,I really didn't want to wait but I did, but when I took my truck there he was done Same day, not bad he's pretty reasonable for scheduling and finishes when he says he will.

Great place to do business. Jimmy always takes time to show and help his customers understand what is wrong with their vehicles, The steps he takes to get the vehicle running and ideas if you are not mechanically inclined.

Best mechanic,will do it right and is honest. No guick fix and call it repaired. His repeat customers and full schedule speaks for itself but will work you in to his best ability which is usually to your satisfaction.

Honest, knowledgeable mechanic. Called me to explain what repairs my truck needed & to get the OK to go ahead with repairs. Showed me the bad parts & explained their failure. Very satisfied!
