I never have posted, but I must say new owner is a piece of work. After asking not to be up sold owner politely asked me to never come back after changing my oil. The employees are fantastic as usual, but I did let him know I never was planning to come back and I ll let as many people know about this new owner since I do live in the neighborhood I miss Kwik Kar very professional owners .

UPDATE: after leaving my original review, I received messages from Mr. Ian and Mr. Padron offering to fix the issue. By the time I returned, my light went off, but they still went ahead and checked to make sure nothing else was going on. Thank you Mr. Ian and Mr. Padron for taking the time to not only fixing my car issue, but also taking the extra step to make sure this doesn t happen again.I ve contemplated about leaving this review, but 12hrs later I m still fuming about what I experienced today. This was my first and LAST time I ll be coming here.I dropped my car off to get an oil change between 9:15-9:30am. An older AA gentleman told me to complete the paperwork and leave the key, which I did and handed the key to a younger AA gentleman and went home as I live very close. Two hours later, I decided to come back to see if there was any progress as I haven t heard anything. The only way I knew they worked on my car was the fact that it was parked in a different area, strike one. I go in and pay for the service. I started my car and the check engine light is on, it wasn t on when I dropped off. I took my car to Autozone to see what was causing the light, to which I was told it was a part related to the oil; they advised that I go back to where I got the oil change and ask if they could check it out as it could have been a switch or something not closed completely. I head back and met with the first gentleman I dealt with and asked if he could check the engine light and showed him the paperwork I received from Autozone. He flat out told me that he would not check it and I would have to pay for a diagnostic before they could check out the car. At this point I m already fed up and started walking out. As I m walking out, the gentleman yells to me, if you change your mind, it ll be $119 for the diagnostic . I ve never been so angry about a service before. If I had know that this was going to happen today, I would have NOT come here and put my car at risk.

I had a wheel alignment done at this shop. I had a very positive experience with the staff. Unlike many other repair shops I ve been to, this shop was extremely well maintained, clean, and organized. I felt very comfortable being there. I would come back for all my car needs. I have been using this shop since pretty much they opened and happily keep coming back. Their service is always fast and reliable, not even mentioning their great customer service! They also always take the time to explain to me any job that may be needed and provide the best price around to do the repairs. Highly recommend this place!Service: Auto maintenance

Jacob gives the best customer service ever! He is awesome and a complete sweetheart, he did my inspection today I came in at 4:45 and he got me out in 10 minutes! I always come here just for him !!!

Guys there are great!! Made sure everything was up to par, changed out my windshield wiper blades, air filter, filled my power steering and made sure the fluids were good to go. Checked the breaks and had everyone including me check the oil level to verify it. Even tightened the battery back into place so it would not move. :)

I had excellent service, the young man that serviced my vehicle, was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything to in detail to me.I asked him how long he had been working there, he said a few weeks, but he had been in the business for 4 years. I have been to this location before and have never had this good of service. Advise to ownership, keep that young man around, I believe his name is Jeremy. Sorry, I didn't put my name out there only because I didn't want to get the previous employee that serviced my vehicle a complex.Everyone is nice that works there, but this young man is polite and went that extra mile.I will definitely be back.Thank you, Jeremy.

Ever since the auto parts store went in across the street, getting a car serviced takes longer. They spend a lot of time running back and forth to the auto parts store to get parts.Update:Went back again and after I declined their attempt to upsell service, I developed a mysterious oil leak. Turned out to be a loose oil drain plug. I can't prove intent, but i won't go back.Update 2022Had to get an inspection and no other service centers had staff or working equipment so, under protest, I went back. The service was quick and professional. I was only an inspection so it wasn't the same service as last time but it was an improved experience.

Kwik Kar is my favorite auto shop. It is conveniently located right around the corner from my apartment and I have built a positive rapport with several staff members. I find the personnel to be friendly, honest, and trustworthy. Kell is always considerate towards me and greatly helped me when my car broke down a few months ago. Samuel is always kind towards me and offers genuine recommendations to improve my vehicle each time I visit. In addition, the waiting area is consistently neat, clean, and comfortable for all patrons. I am highly pleased with this auto shop and strongly recommend it to all residents of Richmond. Thank you for your wonderful service Kwik Kar! :)

Stopped here to get a quick oil change, usually when you say quick it s never really that quick but when I got there I was greeted by Parker- he told me where to park, said give me 10 minutes & he wasn t joking. I recently got my cars oil changed. They were kind of busy. They had to get a part for me, and the wait for the entire thing seemed like a while but that is understandable. I was not first in line, had a handful of cars ahead of me. I liked the service. The place was professional. Kept clean. Had a little kid area for my boys. Overall I was pleased.

I despise this place with all my heart.I went to this place 3 months ago for a pre-purchase inspection for a used car I was buying. Turns out, they don't know how to do it. They said "Yeah this car is all good". The very next week I had to spend $500 for a wheel bearing replacement, and $400 for a condenser replacement.This Kwik Kar place has cost me so much money. If they were competent, their "inspection" would have caught all of this.Service: General repairs & maintenance

These guys know their stuff! They saved me over $500 in unnecessary repairs and has me back on the road within a couple of hours!Samuel, in the front office always greets me with a smile that literally lights up the entire waiting area!You can tell he loves his job and he finds great delight in helping people save money and get exactly what they need, and makes sure they get it right the first time!

A few weeks back i had a bad experience with Kwik Kar with a manger at the store related to a battery. I posted my thoughts about the incident and gave the company a bad rating. Freddy read my posting and reached out to me to find out how he could help. Freddy resolved the problem and apologies for how his manager handled the incident. Freddy put his customer first and had my battery replaced. I want to thank Freddy for taking extra steps to keep me as a customer. With Freddy s help I have changed my rating from a one star to a five star rating. Again thank you Freddy

I want to say that stay away from this shop, I went for an inspection, and the guy told me the bulb for the license plate was not working. The car will not pass the inspection, so I asked how much it cost. He told me 40 $ per side since both are not working. They asked for 80$. I was asking him, please don't do the inspection am going to fix it by myself. I am not going to pay for something. I can do it for 6 $. Long story short, I finally drove away and fixed both sides for 6 $. Please stay away from this shop.

My experience, with this location, I went into this location October of last year for an inspection. My truck passed the mechanic at the time told me my rear brakes need to be replaced. I did not have the money at the time and I can do my own brakes. So here it is 7 months later I finally got new pads, and rotors, slight upgrade 300 hundred dollars in parts. . Pull the wheel off and see I have 3/4 of the pads left. So the mechanic either lied to me or didn't even look. Either way not sure I even trust them to change oil. If they say you need work get a second opinion.

Arrived at 12pm for a simple just a front brake pads. At 2:35pm was told the machine was broken that resurface the rotors. The rotors had to be sent out. Rotors did not return from wherever they were sent until 5:15pm. Needless to say I did not leave until 6pm, at closing. A courtesy ride was not offered which meant I had to wait for 6 hrs for a 1.5 hour job, unacceptable. At 5pm i was told by a technician that service was available. I should have suspected this. The day before it took 2.5 hours for a oil change and cabin filter on the same vehicle. Maybe Lexus' are too complex for this location. I will never use this location again.Service: Brake service & repair

Bait and switch. I paid a diagnostic fee to determine the cause of the issue with my vehicle. They quoted me about $750 to fix my vehicle. After they returned the vehicle, still had the same problem. Took it back, stated I need to pay $1,500 more. The male owner kept me waiting about an hour to discuss the poor service although he was just walking around the shop. He refused to provide any concessions after they poorly diagnosed and fixed my vehicle. I wanted to like this place since they re close to my house.Avoid at all costs!

I came in for a car inspection and was told 20-30 minutes. A man came in 15 minutes after me, talked to a worker and explained his problem and his car was immediately pulled into the bay. The guy doing inspections also stopped to talk to this customer delaying my wait even more. Of course this guy left 10 minutes before me. I waited for an hour and will never return for anything. Customers appreciate the truth. If the wait is an hour then say so. I guess you have to know someone in the shop to have any kind of truthful service. I live in the neighborhood but won't be back.

This place is a scam that tries to use scare tactics during the holiday season to gouge people out of money. I was told my battery had a low charge and that as soon as I left, it would die at the next place I parked. Interestingly enough, the next place I parked was Auto Zone and a nice guy there told me my battery was perfectly fine. Nice try. In addition, the man working on my vehicle had an attitude and the manager had no problem sticking up for him without doing a through check prior to speaking with me.

I went to Kwik Kar to get an oil change and I wasn t sure what kind of oil to get and had some questions but Parker really helped me out and made sure to suggest the best choice. This place is a shame, and how good it may be if you need to call the police to solve a problem with the employees, trying to attack me, please avoid this place
