I recently visited Discount Tire & Auto Repair in Richardson to have my brand new ($800) tires and wheels serviced, but unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and left me feeling scammed.They neglected to inform me that they wouldn t be responsible for damages. Once they were done, they let me leave the shop without informing me that they damaged both wheels. When I inevitably saw the damage, I came back the next day to resolve the issue. The manager refused to accept any responsibility. He told me to take it to court , and gave me a fraction of the cost back. I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others about their unethical practices. Please look at other s reviews, this is not a one time occurrence for this business.Service: Tires

I bought used tires from these guys and the tires are reliable and the price is way way reasonable. These guys are quick at getting the job done and efficient. The customer service is excellent as well. I will be doing business with them again.

Went by to get tires checked. Had 2 bad tires so I had them replaced. One week later, driving to get necessities for my home and the tire flew off in traffic. Thank God my children and I wasn't hurt or caused damage to others. Called to share what happened and got a nasty response. The next day I was off and I made a trip there. All I got was nasty attitude from a Latino looking guy. He told me that it wasn't possible with this that and the third. I really wanted to slap the hell out of him. We could've died but never again to stop in Richardson at this shop for nothing. I wouldn't recommend, or have a second mechanic to look over their work.

I needed tires probably a month before I actually got them changed. I was researching places and decided to give these guys a call. They had my tires IN STOCK and available same day. The guys were able to look at my car and switch my tires within an Hr of me getting there.Better yet, for all 4 tires I paid u dee $600.. which is $200 cheaper compared to the other 5 places I looked into.They are a 10 outta 10, and will recommend for any car service needs.

I have been going to this shop for a few years and I have never had a bad experience. One word sums them up; HONEST. I've had a few times when they have done work on one of my cars and the problem would persist. They always make it right at no additional charge. The prices they charge are fair and reasonable and I will continue to use them!

Don t go here for tires. They put the wrong tires on the car and have been giving the biggest run around even though we called the next day after realizing the tires were rubbing on the car. Been calling and going up there for two weeks. Makes me sick. That ll teach us for trusting a tire place to know what tires your car needs. Seriously.

This place is awesome and they truly care and helped me when I had an emergency they helped me find the right replacement bolt that came lose and was missing on my caliper it was a dealer item and it seemed impossible to find one but we did and they did not charge me to fix it!! I m very grateful as I would have been stranded.without their help! The employees and service is Top Notch!Services: Tires, Brakes

The staff at Richardson discount tire & auto repair are absolutely fantastic. I just came in and had a tire plugged and filled back up and I was in and out in 5 minutes! Harry was wonderful to work with and I can t thank them enough. I will definitely be back in the future! Highly recommend!Service: TiresService: Tires

Won't lie was a bit skeptical at first we got there and waited an hour, was a little hot in the waiting room. With the Texas heat, everyone was trying to get their a/c serviced, I'm sure. Machine went down and was told I needed to come back another day. Was given a signed card with a discount for our inconvenience. Came back a couple of days later. We dropped off our car and was called a couple later that it was ready. Car is blowing cold air and couldn't be happier. Great job guys and great service

Dont go here if u dont want parts taken off u car without you knowing. I trusted them until I found out my motor cover was missing and my car was brand new and always had a motor cover. I'll never go here again to get anything thing fixed since I have to pay my hard worked money for repairs then get parts removed off my car with out me knowing. Thieves!!!

I m a lady who knows nothing about cars, but I know these people will take care of my vehicle for a low price! I get all my basic maintenance here and my vehicle has been running smoothly thanks to them for 3 years now! Good friendly service for a reasonable price.

H hooked it up fast and very reasonably priced. I won t put the price on blast, but I d spend that amount for a tire and oil change any day. H is the guy who helped me out before I even had a chance to park my car. Much obliged my good sir. Will recommend.

Sure, I originally put this place in my gps and thought I was going to discount tire. They have a similar name and I m sure that other people get confused. They know what they are doing and they take care of the problems quickly and efficiently. I bought the car with 215 tires which is not recommended so I went there to replace them, almost brand new tires with 205 from discounted tires. I paid 200$ to find that all tires are not from the same brand. Now after 1000 miles the front tire almost flat as you can see from photos. When I went yo talk to them they were very rude and tried to make it my mistake, the car has no alignment issue as my mechanic said even thought they started telling me I need work in the car for 400$. So go there if you want to put your life in danger and lose your money

Don't trust them. Specially with oil change. They were lying to me that changing my oil. They were just taking my money and changing the sticker for oil change. Be aware of this business. I don't recommend them at all. Don't trust them, don't trust them, don't trust them!!!!!!! If you want to through your money in the restroom!! Go there!!!! They take your money but do nothing!!!! At the end they flash you also in the restroom like your money!!!!!!!!

Great place! They are not associated with discount tire membership, but the speed and efficiency the utilized had me in and out in less than 15 minutes. Plus, the customer service was remarkable; even though I made a mistake and misunderstood something, they were extremely gracious. $700 for pads and rotors. Cool. They didn t bleed the brake lines, air still in lines, spongy air in pedal . Went back and they charged me $97 to bleed brake lines. I can t believe the audacity to charge someone for something they didn t do right the first time. Air is still in my brake lines. Never again Richardson discount tire. Terrible way to treat people. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND TAKE YOUR CAR TO SOMEONE THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

Incredible experience. Two of my tires popped over the weekend and I got my car towed to their parking lot. I missed their business hours but first thing on Monday they called me up, made sure they knew what I wanted and fixed it up. By afternoon, they had my car fitted with tires that looked pretty good and I was able to roll away. Great customer service and good prices.

The Team at RDT&AR work hard everyday for each and every customer. Their prices and service are excellent!! If you want to spend more money for less than average quality, then by all means go somewhere else. If you want fair prices coupled with excellent service, then come to RDT&AR!!! This is a great mechanic shop if you're looking for quality and low prices. They treated me right and did it right the first time. I would definitely keep taking my car to them no matter what car I have.

Went in because I had a screw in my tire and needed a plug, or a swap out with another tire. Turns out, screw was shallow and nothing required. They filled up all my tires to correct psi on my Jeep Wrangler and I went on with my day without a charge! I tipped the guy doing it and was soooo happy! 1st time there, will be back again!

I couldn t believe how honest and generally concerned he was about not only my vehicle but me and my current situation. As a woman that means everything. I ve never taken care of the vehicles my entire life. I m sure he could tell. I was nervous cause I don t know one thing about them. Not pushy just took care of the issue and my fears in a flash and I was so relieved.. Definitely one of Richardsons finest businesses.They also do inspections.
