Make the drive to a mechanic in Harlingen and don t waste your time with this place. Not worth the time or money. Seems as if they don t know what they re doing.I had my power steering pump go out, so I took my car to Mr. Z s. I purchased the pump and fluid and took it with my vehicle. When I picked up my car it has the loudest whining noise, the got louder when I turned the wheel. I consulted with them and they said it was my rack and pinion, and that they could do the repair. I bought it, and when I my daughter to pick up my vehicle again he mentioned he did not replace the rack and pinion but flushed out the fluid from the pump and replaced it with transmission fluid (?) after I took in my own fluid I ve always used. He also mentioned that all cars whine when turning the wheel so it s not a big issue. This whining is so loud there s no way to ignore it. He ruined my car, and spoke to my daughter as if she wouldn t know or understand what he was talking about.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I cannot speak highly enough about this place. I came in for an oil change, and although it ended up taking a while to obtain the correct filter for my car, an error on my part, everything else was great.The shop quickly worked to get the correct parts for me and the mechanics were friendly, approachable, and extremely hospitable. There isn't much of a waiting area in the garage, but as they changed my oil and the filter I was offered a chair, cold beverage, and was even shown how to change my own oil in the future. Before you go, I would recommend calling ahead and chatting about what your car will require so that you can avoid unnecessary wait time, but I would definitely recommend this place and plan on coming back whenever my car needs work!

I brought my own oil and filter to them my first and last time with them. I needed the oil changed because I was moving to FL so a week before I had then do it now 1 month later my oil filter was said to be very old like it had not been changed out for a long time. And it totalled my engine over 2000 dollars in fees. Just because they forgot or pocketed my oil filter they cost me thousands.Service: Oil change

I don't go there often, but every time I've been there the owner has been very respectful and courteous to me. Very knowledgeable mechanic.

Needed a state inspection done and was told they could do it in the morning. Had no luck so i had to go after lunch. I called a few times before i went and no answer. So i went there only for them to tell me they were bussy and could not do my inspection. Time and day lost :(
