Top tier RV park.Stopped in Quanah unexpectedly due to a blown tire. Was pleasantly surprised by Back Forty. These folks know how to RV.Free laundry, quiet, all the hookups you d expect, well-designed wifi, right off the highway, clean and well-lit even the dog parks. Laundry and shower rooms are modern and pleasantly decorated. Ahead of the game on maintenance. Will definitely plan my itinerary next time around staying here again.Safety: Well-lit at night without being too bright.Noteworthy details: Free laundry, good wifi.

We stayed overnight and it was great! Easy check-in after hours and easy check-out. We didn t get to meet the owners but they were very friendly over the phone and also mentioned what lot would be best to park to assure not to be muddy after a hard rainfall that they had.The location is perfect if you are looking for somewhere to stopover for short rest area right off the main road. The lot itself is super clean and well kept! Facilities are modern and spacious! They are still a young RV Park as mentioned in the brochure but will add more I believe overtime. They have a great dog run for pups and there are a few designated fire pits to use.We didn t mind it but it is located right next to a railroad and a train does come every few hours. So if you don t like that type of noise then you may not want to stay here.Overall it was great for our family of 4 and pup!

We use highway 287 frequently when traveling to visit family. We tried Back Forty for the first time, and we are so glad we did. Easy open access with very level roomy sites. When we need overnight stops, we want it to be easy. The voltage was great and the Verizon cell service was excellent to stream on our tablet. Reservations and communications were as good as it gets. Clean park with a safe feeling. Will use regularly now when passing through.

In the middle of nowhere very clean, laundry free, the maschines in very good condition. A good restaurant on the other side of the street. Had a great stay here!

Well we are 2 summer s removed now from out visit but feel the same now as then. Park had just opened and owners saved our big family vacation! We pulled in late night on our way to Montana. Only to find our bumper hitch had failed and our bikes were almost dragging on the ground. Early the next morning the owner recommended and contacted for us a local welder who had done their entrance. He jumped right on it. With in 4 hours our trip was saved and we were happily on our way. There shower and laundry facilities were great but it was the owner s kindness and timely assistance that will have us stopping there every trip we go up 287. Thanks!!!!

Definitely the perfect place to stop after a long day on the road! The laundry & shower facilities were excellent & bonus FREE laundry! We arrived late but checking in was a breeze with after hours instructions left for us. Conveniently located as well! We ended up adding an extra night to relax before finishing up our drive.

We stayed at Back Forty RV Park on the first night of our road trip from TX to the Grand Canyon. We liked it so much that we stayed again on the last night of our trip! There were 2 private bathrooms that each had their own shower, toilet, and sink. The bathrooms were always clean. The first night we stayed was the coldest night of the year, but the building with bathrooms and laundry was still warm and there was still hot water in the showers. The free laundry was definitely a bonus! The Wifi was one of the better RV park WiFis we had on this trip. The sites were gravel and pretty close to level. Prices were reasonable and it was a peaceful little RV park!

No Trees But No Shade Either! Lots of long mostly level gravel slips with full hookups as well as some back-in slips. No trees of any consequence however I have no shade to throw at this park. We are in slip 9, a corner spot across from laundry and facilities, with a nice grassy side yard for the pups. No cable however the WiFi is provided by some hamsters who have clearly been on the podium in a number of marathons - it s FAST! Plus, we have four bars on AT&T.Staff is friendly and welcoming, the park is well kept with some long-term but looks like mostly travelers. Great little fenced dog park with a nice lawn and a couple of gazebos for sitting out when it gets cooler (it was over 100 when we got here at 4:30). A solid 5/5 and perfect for an overnight while traveling on 287.

The NICEST RV park we have ever stayed at!!!!!!!!! They have a really clean bath house and laundry facility. There s an adorable gift shop with essentials (detergent, toilet paper, etc.) and cute RV themed gifts. There are multiple lit gazebos throughout the park, plenty of outdoor seating, a green area for kids to run around, security lights throughout the park, and an adorable dog park with a fire hydrant (SO CUTE!!!) This is a family owned business and they really take pride in the upkeep of their park. Its really easy to get our 36ft 5th wheel in here since it is off the highway, but its quiet because it is far enough away from the road. We just stayed there and they were throwing this amazing outdoor concert with a concession stand and BBQ. So fun!! We can t wait to come back!

Driving back to Dallas from Colorado, I wanted to stop before it got dark. I had read some great reviews about the Back Forty RV Park, so I called ahead from the road to see if an overnight space was available.Upon arrival we greeted at the gate and given our choice of a site either near the bathhouse or the dog park since we were travelling with our small dogs. The sites are spaced apart nicely and the grass at each site is great as it does not contain any sticker burrs which made my dogs happy. The site had full hookups and it was very quiet considering the railroad track is a little ways North of the Park. The bathhouse has got to be one of the nicest I have ever seen anywhere that we stayed. It is gorgeous and well thought out. The washer and dryer are also contained in the same building. They also have an awesome fenced dog park. The next morning the owner again greeted us and asked if everything was okay with our site. He chatted with us for a while and was so friendly. That in itself made us feel very welcome.I just wish we could have stayed longer to explore the local area. We will definitely return. This place was so peaceful that I hated to leave after just the one night.

We spent a weekend in Quanah and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. New, clean, great gravel sites. Thick nice gravel. Grass at every site. Lots of green space around the park. Great hookups. Very nice dog park as well with no stickers!! This place is only a few years old and is great for pulling off for a 1 nighter or even longer. While you are there, check out Copper breaks State Park. It has some beautiful, hiking and there is lots of wonderful history in Quanah. Check out the museum downtown and the old jail. We will definitely be back.

I was driving from Montana. Stopped in Colorado Springs overnight. Drove what seemed like forever to get to Texas. It was going to be dark soon and there were no nice RV parks to be seen. I didn t want to drive in the dark or sleep in a gas station! About the time I said God I need a nice safe place! BAM! There was a nice big sign Back Forty RV Park! I could see from the road it was clean and looked pretty nice compared to the few scary ones along the way. I drove up and the owners were there closing up. They invited me right in, welcomed me and got me all setup by the awesome inenclosed, lights at nite with green turf dog park! Wow! Awesome brand new RV spot. Free laundry in new oversized up and front loading W/D! Beautiful brand new plush bathrooms with great showers! They have games, outdoor games, movies, books and a great inside area to hangout.Outstanding customer service! Beautiful find to rest in peace and quiet! Great sleep and felt safe! Thank you for a wonderful experience!! I will definitely be back! This is a favorite now! Highly recommended! $30 per night was excellent!

The park was nice and the large gravel sites were easy to navigate to. They clearly are taking care of their grass. It has a large fenced dog lot with a fire hydrant. The truly amazing part however, was the bathroom and laundry palace. The two large bathrooms had large clean showers with a bit of counter space to put your stuff on. The large clean laundry room had three washers and three dryers, and they all worked. There is a folding table, a comfortable chair, and even magazines, dvds, and games to borrow. The stairs are well lighted and the lock works.

We were traveling from Florida, heading towards the Grand Canyon. We don't make reservations, we stop when we feel like stopping. With the temperature in the high 90's, we decided to look for a campground with electric, so that we could run our A/C without the generator. We almost missed their sign, but saw it just as we were passing by. They had openings with full hookups. How fortunate!Everything provided was top notch. The showers, washers, and dryers are modern looking, clean, and well maintained. The washers and dryers are free, no handful of quarters needed! The managers/hosts are very helpful and friendly. We asked if they knew of a place nearby where we could get a milkshake. They said they did, and gave us directions. However, after some conversation, they said they were also in the mood for a milkshake. They said, go get settled in, we'll go for the milkshakes and bring them back. They personally delivered a couple of very good milkshakes to our RV.We won't forget the Back Forty campground. If we're in that area again, we'll stop there. We highly recommend it.

Stopped in for a couple days R&R.Was greeted warmly and our paperwork was ready for us. Got set up and looked around park. 4 converted silos which are now places to set and observe happenings. Road noise was not an issue. This place has a resort feel on a macaroni budget. Large individual private bathrooms. A DVD movie library. Free washers and dryers. A great place to recharge from being on the road!!

We stayed at Back 40 RV park and I must say it was one of the nicer ones. Everything was super clean. It is on a little road off the highway. You can t even hear the highway, especially once you are in your trailer. Loved that there was a bath house to shower in. Shower rooms are temperature controlled. It was a nice break from showering in the trailer. There s a laundry room with wash and dryer as well. They also have a dog park that is fenced in and clean with grass. Super important because my dogs need grass to do their business.Very clean, would stay there again.

We typically travel with a group of 6-7 retired couples and meet up at different places. We make it this way 2-3x a year. Stumbled on this place a couple years ago. Super friendly, clean, close to highway and well kept. We used to stay in Vernon TX but all of us have switched to Back40. It is rustic but quiet and there is a restaurant close by.

Nice quite park just on the outskirts of quanah. Level crushed rock sites. Hookups were good. Very nice showerhouse with free washers and dryers within the same building. There was a train nearby but nearly noticeable to worry about.Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We stopped to dump our tanks and fill up our fresh water. Found a leak on our RV sewer pipe. Stayed there for 2 days. Phil was so helpful. Kari was awesome! Wonderful people. Excellent dog run. Highly recommend this park.
