David and Brian are great guys, I ve been bringing my cars to them for almost 20 years now for everything from simple oil changes to more serious issues that are way out of my league. Even now living downtown, I ll drive 45 minutes out of my way to their shop to get honest fair priced service that I simply cannot find anywhere else in the city. I ve trusted every vehicle I ve ever had with DSL Automotive and I personally refer all of my close friends and family to them, they are simply the best.

Was referred to try this shop by my father in law. I tried to call a couple times with no success so I decided to drive by and check it out for myself. I went on a Saturday which they were closed and to be honest I was a little skeptical of the shop due to its size and location.( yes I judged the book by its cover if you will) I followed up with a visit Monday and met David, who explained to me it would be a couple days before he could even look at my truck. I had my truck towed there and David was very accommodating with the driver of tow truck so it made the tow truck driver easy access to unload. So I explained to David I was planning a Michigan trip next week and he said he would see what he could do. Couple days later David calls me and tells me my issues and the approximate cost of the repairs and said he could have it ready Friday. Well it s Friday and my truck is in my driveway, not only did David fulfill his promise he added a couple turn signal bulbs at no charge plus the bill was about 30 bucks cheaper than the original cost. I strongly recommend this shop as they now gained all my vehicles work going forward. Thank you David and your son for the extraordinary customer service you provide!!

I had to have my A/C looked at because it was not blowing cold air. David was able to fix it on the spot and quickly. Very reasonably priced. I will be coming back if I have any car issues. Staff is knowledgeable and was able to find the problem swiftly. I would highly recommend

A wrecker driver recommended DSL to me about 8 years ago or so. I've never gone anywhere else since. They take great care in diagnosing your vehicle problems and give you the straight up facts. They are honest, fair and do a great job. I recommend them every chance I get. Update 2023 and this is still the only shop I will take my vehicle to. All total, DSL has maintained my vehicles for around 15 years. I do not know what I would do without those guys.Services: Electrical repair, Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

Highly recommended! The owner, Dave, is a very honest mechanic. DSL Automotive is the only place our family goes to when our vehicle needs repair. They're reasonably priced and we've never had any problems with their work.

Great service, affordable prices, and most important... HONEST!I've gone through several mechanics over the years, but that stopped once I found DSL Automotive. David & his staff are knowledgeable and have never steered me wrong. Turnaround time is generally very quick, even when they're swamped, and David always gives me a call and estimate before starting. DSL is the way a mechanic shop SHOULD be run, and they'll have my business for years to come.

I had them change an oil ascending unit. They were so cheap and fast that it was well worth it as I was short on time, back then. I've now had numerous friends and family members use them and we are all happy with them. Daivd always explains what is going on, and doesn't talk down to people that dont' understand cars. He has come out and worked on my cousins car while it was out front. I expected to leave it for the night and he fixed it right away, while we were standing around. He's also replaced 2 oil pumps, a timing belt, and an a/c compressor on various cars for our family. The timing belt my cousin had towed her car to a shop, after 2 weeks, she had it towed over to DSL and they basically fixed it in 24 hours. At this point I can say I know of 6+ cars that we have taken there and every time it was been easy communication, quick service/turn around and reasonably priced.One last note, we did call him about brining a car with transmission issues and were told that they didn't do transmissions at the time, and he recommended another shop.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Air conditioning

Don t waste your money going anywhere else! I was referred to DSL Automotive after one of our cars would not start, even with a boost. After a quick Google search, we figured it must be the starter and called the dealership for a quote. We were stunned when we were quoted just over $1,000 for the fix. We had to leave the car and get picked up since this was a very unexpected expense. After being referred to DSL, I reached out for pricing and was quoted a fraction of what the dealership quoted. Brian helped us out and he even recommended a very reasonably priced towing company, EMC towing, that promptly retrieved our car. Brian communicated with us every step of the process, even though it only took them a day to fix the car. I would give them a higher rating if I could because of their efficiency, professionalism, and price. I will never take any of my cars anywhere else. Thank you so much for doing everything possible to turn a nightmare around!

Thorough, professional, trustworthy, well-done. They did the 100,000 mile checkup on my Toyota Tundra truck, and they went through the truck with a fine-tooth comb. They took care of what they found right then, and had me back on the road a couple of hours later. Really pleased with the service. I'll go back in 20,000 miles for my next check up.If you make an appointment, they keep it. They don't make you wait a minute longer than it takes. So give them a call and get prompt service and good value for your money.

Best! Honest! Resonably priced! Quick! Reliable! and Knowledgeable Trust worthy Family owned Car Shop around Houston and it's suburbs! that will treat you like family and keep you from spending unnecessarily on unwanted repairs! Had 2 cars worked on by David and his son and would go back to DSL again! Do yourself and your ride a favour and take it to DSL, I highly recommend that you try DSL out before you waste another $ with anyone else if you live anywhere close to Houston! David loves cars!!!!! and will love your car as much as you and will Not disappoint you and will go above and beyond to get the job done!!!!! I live in Virginia and needed to have a car in Porter, TX checked out before I purchased it online. I chose DSL Automotive based on their ASE certification and proximity to the vehicle. I was amazed at how helpful David was and how fair his prices were. If I lived anywhere near Texas, DSL would be my favorite garage. I would highly recommend these guys!

I work in a medical office down Sorters road and left work at 5. My engine began misfiring shortly after I left and I began freaking out. Luckily, DSL was right down the road. I showed up right before closing and the owner, David pulled my car into the shop and had me on my way in 20 minutes after replacing an ignition coil. I was shocked at the level of service! Thank you David for your help! Highly recommend this shop!

David long. DSL. Awesome. Very honest. Very reasonably priced. Very professional. They don't guess they know what's wrong with your car. this will be my special Mechanic. I only do work here. I recommend everybody to go here. Great job DSL.

These guys are pretty knowledgeable and just good people. They are fair on their pricing and do good work. Need to call in advance and make an appointment as they stay busy. Good shops are always busy. They will let you watch as they work and do not sell you parts you do not need.

This place is horrible! I had a fan blade broken in my car and these people misdiagnosed and charged me for an engine mount! They scammed my sweet grandma for money and took total advantage of her! Over 300$ they weren t willing to refund after I had to pay a real mechanic to fix it for 500$! Please if you love your car don t bring it here!

I brought my truck in thinking my oil pump was going out and thinking I was gonna have to spend at least a grand, they took the time and diagnosed it correctly and saved me a bunch of money. Appreciate their honesty

This Place Is Awesome! Great mechanics that don't give you the run around saying you need a bunch of unnecessary parts. In other words it's very hard now days to find a honest mechanic this place has them.
