Really cool lighthouse to see with a lot of history! Read up on some of the Haunting stories before you go! You can't get up close because it is privately owned but we parked on the side of the road for a view and some pictures.

This is a historic lighthouse in Port Bolivar, Texas, which was built in 1872. It served for 61 years before being retired in 1933 when its function was replaced by a different light. The current lighthouse is at least the second structure at the site. It is worth seeing it.

This is an unusual place. The lighthouse cannot be accessed easily but the view is wonderful. The lighthouse has a very interesting history and it can be viewed at the Fort across the highway. This is a great place for photo opportunities.

Looks good. NOT open to the public. There IS a non-profit trying to acquire funds for restoring the structure.The light that operated here is in the Smithsonian.

Port Bolivar is a great place if you just want to have time to yourself and enjoy the beauty of nature the birds chirping the seagulls seagulling and people around you minding their own business let's keep one thing in mind for nature we must keep the trash picked up so the sea turtles don't get caught in plastic we must keep our fishing this clear thrown in the trash when not in use fishing lines thrown away as well overall this place is a beauty it's a gym it's a hidden gym enjoy folks enjoy this place cuz my little Max and my little Gidget really enjoyed it
