Brought my truck here after having issues with a dealership. Julio was great to work with, and overall the experience was the most pleasant I have ever had with car repairs. They let me know everything going on with my repair including updates, and the prices are honest and fair. Got my truck better and it's running better than ever. Couldn't recommend them enough and I would absolutely return if I ever need them again.

Julio was great and easy to work with. I was told by the dealership that I needed a new transmission. I took it to the transmission shop and after checking every thing out Julio told me they didn't find any thing wrong the fluid was clean and the car rode good. Turns out I don't need a new transmission or anything. I am thinking the dealership was just trying to get several thousand dollars. Thanks Julio and The Transmission Shop.

The Transmission Shop did a great job with my 09 challenger RT and got it done within a weeks time. Everything from communication, completion time, and overall work, these guys got it down for sure. I would recommend them 10/10 times to anyone looking for some quality transmission work. Thanks guys!

After reading the reviews I decided to try out this shop. Julio checked out my transmission and saw I only needed a small seal. They fixed it free of charge. Any other shop would have easily charged me hundreds of dollars. Overall I had an amazing experience. I definitely recommend trying them out.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Great work on transmission rebuild. The pan started leaking after the warranty period expired and The Transmission Shop took care of it for free. Great service and they stand behind their work.

After taking my truck to 2 shops because it wasn t shifting. I took it to them. After investing time in it they found out there was a loose speed sensor. They tightened it up and it worked again! They did not charge me at all. Handed me my keys and told me to have a great day. Honest and great people.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

This transmission Shop is a total SCAM. I took my truck in for a diagnostic. Won t be saying any names but I was told my transmission was failing and it was damaged and that I was needing a new transmission.The guy quoted me 3,000-4,000 plus on top of that $300 of labor to install a sensor in my transmission????Once he said I had to pay additional $300. I felt something sketchy.To see what his response was I asked him if it he could give me a set price. He said he wouldn t be able to until he started working on my truck. I wasn t satisfied with the answer they gave me.I went for a second opinion at the North Central Ford of Richardson. They did a diagnostic and told me my transmission is in good condition with no internal damage. The only thing that was needed was to replace the body valve from the transmission. What I m paying for to get my valve replacement is 6x lower the price this shop quoted me to replace my damaged transmission The Transmission Shop in Plano gives you a free diagnostics. BUTnow I see why LOL.I suggest you to spend some bucks on a second opinion before giving away all that money to these people.Also for reference Ford didn t not have to open up my transmission to let me know the transmission was in good or to find the valve issue my truck had.Looking at all the good reviews The Transmission shop had I thought these guys were the PROS .

Called this place yesterday 12/12/23 and spoke with the manager I told him I needed to get my transmission serviced, he had told me if I get it in Wednesday morning 12/13/23 that they would be able to get to it and get it done same day. I get there in the morning drove from celina to plano to get there and they tell me they can't get to it until 12/18/23!!! I was so pissed I had arranged my business for the following day so this really messed up my work day..... I took my business elsewhere......don't tell someone you can get something done and not follow through horrible business ethic

This is a great company/business to visit for your transmission repair. I got the full rebuild and the seal on the back of the motor replaced. Julio, who is maning he shop, was great to deal with. I appreciated the first rate service. The prices were in line with the seven other places that I called for quotes. The Transmission Shop was able to do the work in a very short amount of time. It only took them two and a half days when they called me and let me know it was ready. The only problem I have with places like this is that with transmission repairs, you may never need to see these nice folks again.Shawn M,Dallas TexasService: Transmission

Probably one of the easiest auto shops I ever dealt with. Didn't charge me "an arm and a leg" like some other shops. Quick, just 3 days they called to say it was ready.

This place does amazing work. They rebuilt the trany in my infinti M37. the work is impeccable. the shift is great and the performance is exhilarating.Julio is the greatest. I'm not sure who the mechanic is that did the wor, but the team as a whole did a performance job on the transition.I'm happy. If you have a transmission problem, visit this place!

71 Cutlass : torque converter swap.Found my new trans shop.Julio is great. He kept me informed and went the extra mile to make sure my car was kept inside and away from creepers (despite me dropping off on a Friday afternoon). The work was fast and my car runs like a scared rabbit with the new hardware. Heads up Julio - next visit will be a full swap to that 700R4 we talked about.Thanks!Service: Transmission

I brought my F150 here last week feeling quite confident that the transmission was going to need some major work. Julio was great at getting me in and having the truck looked at in the same day, which I really appreciated since I had to travel later in the week. He called me later in the day and informed me that the transmission was in great shape, and that they had found a code for what was wrong- it was a cylinder misfire. I did not have a check engine light on at the time, so this was extremely helpful.This place went above and beyond though, even writing the code and description down for me so that I could bring it to a general mechanic, and didn't charge me. They didn't have to do that, and could have easily charged a diagnostic fee, but didn't. Also, not all shops are honest, but this one, being in the transmission business telling me my 102k + mile transmission looked great, is also notable.In summary, if you have transmission issues, or suspect you do, this is a place you should feel very comfortable bringing your vehicle to. They will take care of you, and do so in a timely manner. Good places like this deserve to be recognized above the rest, and should I ever (hopefully not) have a transmission issue, this is where I will go. Highly recommend!

I have a 2006 ford f150, that had transmission failure. It was towed to frisco automotive. There estimate was over 5000 dollars for a rebuild of the transmission.I spoke to Julio at the transmission shop in Plano, who said he could rebuild the transmission for a little more than half that quote . It ended up my transmission could not be rebuilt and he had to get me a new core, also a new fly wheel since mine had a few teeth missing. With all of that the cost was still a 1000 dollars cheaper. I would definitely recommend this transmission shop because Julio is there to help you. Too bad the other transmission shop i called of their chain did not have him, i was quoted and entirely higher rebuild starting cost.Service: Transmission

First time at The Transmission Shop and it was a great experience! The gentleman Julio, who provided the services my car needed, was quick, efficient and very helpful! Once my tires were replaced, he mentioned that my battery needed to be replaced also and was more than willing to take the time to replace it. Excellent service by Julio and would recommend him for getting repairs and maintenance if your car needs any repairs!Services: Tires, Battery

The Transmission Shop finished rebuilding my transmission faster than the time frame that they had quoted. I appreciate Julio's professionalism and friendliness each time he called with an update. It's been a little more than 3 months, I've been on several long road trips, and my car still runs great. A friend recommended The Transmission Shop to me, and now I too recommend the Transmission Shop to anyone who needs help with their transmission.

The short story, is the guys at the Transmission Shop are awesome!Long story is that I came to them with a very non-standard transmission problem. You see, the Truck is a 1946 Ford � ton pickup with a NON stock drivetrain (i.e. a complicated mess).Its a Ford truck with a Small block Chevy V8 from a 1960 Bel Air, a transmission from a 1988 C1500 Truck with custom crossmembers and mounts, the pressure plate and clutch are from a 1993 Chevy Pickup, a custom clutch system with a Wilwood Master Cylinder and a dorman Slave cylinder, a Core products short throw long arm shifter, a custom drive shaft.. etc. The point is, this is not your average production vehicle. In addition, it s been in the family for as long as I can remember and this is the first time the truck has been left in the hands of anyone other than my father and I.I was nervous, but Julio the store manager and Mike the owner were great people first and foremost. They put me at ease. The whole team is top notch, honest and up front. They worked hard to resolve an issue with 4th gear in my gearbox (kept popping out on deceleration). One of those weird problems that sometimes does not make sense. Tom sorted it out, and solved it.I have 450 miles on it already and no issues! I don t do many reviews, but have to for these guys. Thanks everyone at the Transmission Shop. I got the hood back on and came up to take a picture, but got there late after you closed (see attached photo). Professional and very helpful! Out of all the places I called only The Transmission Shop actually ask me what happened when I drove my car. So not only a quote but gave me another possible cause. It ended up not being my clutch, still needed repair but way less costly. Thank you, so much for educating me and being patient with me but most of all being a shop we can all trust in!

Great customer service and fast fix. Our transmission was having issues and we had to get it towed here. They were able to diagnose and rebuild the transmission in 2 weeks. The car drives so much better! It's great that they do a 3 year 36k warranty on the service too!

Had some transmission problems due to low fluid. There had to be a leak, but they said they d look at it for free. I thought there would be a catch, but they looked and couldn t find a leak. I asked how much for their time, and he said No charge! Fast service, great communication, and good work.Definitely my new transmission shop!Service: Transmission

Had transmission rebuilt on my 03 Odyssey a few months back. Good price for the work and warranty. They forgot to reattach a harness in the engine compartment, but they got it figured out when I came back and Julio has always been an easy and helpful guy to communicate with.

I have used the transmission shop twice in the past 5 years and this past experience was even better than the first. The dealership told me I needed a new transmission or to have mine rebuilt. I took it to the transmission shop for a second opinion and turns out I was low on fluid, needed a flush and filter and a brake switch. They saved me so much money and were honest from the start. Another shop quoted replacing the entire transmission with new part. The Transmission Shop did a rebuild instead and came in with parts / labor at close to the quote of just the part from the other shop. It's been a few weeks since and it has worked great. Plus the warranty is plenty long for the life I wanted to get out of this car. Glad I came here! Great work!Service: Transmission
