Took my car in to get the power windows fixed on the passenger side rear door. They had to replace the mechanism that controlled the window going up and down but the power window switch only worked on that passenger door but not the central control from the driver's seat after they completed the work. Brought it back again to have a look at that and was told it was a broken switch control on the drivers side and whether I was wanting to pay to get that fixed. I said no as the cost was too high. When I got the car back the inside door panel was only attached with one screw and the door opened the first time and when it closed never opened again. I called about this and was told it would cost to find out why the door wouldn't open. At this point I was sick and tired of dealing with this group and took it to another group who had to cut into the door panel to get it opened and found the actuator was not engaging the inside door opener. Have had to get the inside door panel, with inside door handle and now outside door handle replaced to get this door working again on the side that had the power window fixed. Never again will I work with this group...

I thank the Sav-Mor Automotive staff & technicians that repaired my Oldsmobile SUV. It took several days for them to isolate the electrical problem, but they were courteous, diligent & professional. To date my SUV's battery hasn't died, nor have I noticed any other mechanical problems. I recommend Sav-Mor Automotive & it is now my primary automotive repair shop.

I have actually never left a review in my life, not good or bad. My transmission is having problems. It probably does need replacing. CTV transmissions are the worst in Nissan Pathfinders. However, I was very disappointed in this place. They charged $202 to run diagnostics, which is ok although high, but they never told me the price to see if it was what I wanted. Even when I came and paid to get my vehicle back, I had to ask for the diagnostic results that I paid for. Also, charging 3% to use a card and not cash is absurd. With all the business they handle and the amount of money spent there, they should never expect anyone to pay in cash, or they could at least tell you on the phone before you come to pay that it will cost more to use your card. This place lacks communication and professionalism. The cost of the transmission is more than what my Pathfinder is worth, so I took it home to park it until I can afford to change it. Once I looked at the diagnostics, they were going to charge $893.47 to change my spark plugs, which don t have to be changed. When a mechanic shop is charging up to $10k more than the Nissan dealership, something is not right. I will never use them again. I understand why they didn t want to give me the diagnostic results and the charges to replace the transmission because it shows all the high prices and unnecessary work they were going to do. $13,321.43 to change a transmission. You d think it was made of gold and glossed over by the elixir of the gods.

I brought my car in for an engine light. They found the problem and fixed it. But after my experience listed below, I found out I was charged more than triple the cost for the part they replaced. The repair cost me $1362.They were also going to repair a coolant leak. First, they said the initial cost was $600. Then, I got a call and was told the price was now $1100. They told me the price could go as high as $3500 if they found another leak.I called AAA to tow my car to another shop.The cost and explanation made no sense. At this point, I no longer trust them.The other shop I went to fixed it by the next morning for $532. They replaced the thermostat housing, 2 hoses, and the expansion tank.Had I not moved my business to another shop, my total experience would have cost me more than $4362 after taxes. And a 3.5% payment fee had I paid by credit or debit card.They got the $1300 from me the first time. As they say, ... fool me twice, shame on me.

The company I work for, Binswanger Glass, brings all of our plano branch vehicles here. Professional service and an honest approach. Hernan, the manager, is very knowledgeable and personable. His staff is equally so. I cannot express how great they are!

My first time to use Sav-Mor Automotive.I love the detail and the pics to show what was wrong, and how it was suppose to look, the first day I brought my car in.It was all sent via text showing the issues of my car, which was great.I did have to leave my car for 3 days with all of the issues to have my car running correctly.My only thing I wanted was for someone to call and let me know what the issues were, as I called to find out after not hearing from anyone. I approved of completing the issues. Again, would have liked to hear the status of my car each day it was being worked on. I called each time at the beginning, and the day it was completed for status.Also, since all the pictures of the beginning was taken to show the issues, would have loved to seen pictures to show the issues were done.Rob the Service Advisor, and Trent were very friendly.I am grateful for the detail of the present and future issues of my car.

I general hate doing surveys because i don't like glorifying mediocrity! But this shop was first class ALL THE WAY! Every person i spoke with was professional and very kind. No one attempted to talk to me in a dismissive tone, they thoroughly explained the issue and even got the work done early! No one likes spending money on they car to have it repaired, but I was happy to make that payment! And they did a phenomenal job! Car is running great.

Sav-Mor repaired the clutch master cylinder in my 1961 Chevrolet Apache 10 pick-up truck. It is a project vehicle and I have done some work on it, but in this case, it required the expertise of Sav-Mor. Good value, truck runs well and shifts as it should. These guys are always the best! We have used Sav-Mor for the past several years and officially became lifetime customers after an experience this week. We are trying not to put anymore money into our daughter's 2002 hand-me-down Lexus. The car is not holding a charge and after assessing the vehicle, Sav-Mor let us know that the alternator was faulty. They went on to say that the alternator appeared very new but they had not done the work. They even researched the report to help us narrow down where we'd had that work done so we could tow it to the other shop and have it replaced under warranty! Wow - this honesty and looking out for our best interest really sets this business apart. We highly recommend!

Sav-Mor made my Honda purr!!! I've been a loyal customer to Sav-Mor and I appreciate their professionalism and high quality work. I haven't really had to spend a lot on my Honda, because it's a Honda, but I got to drop a chunk of change today for timing belt/serpentine belt, spark plugs, new battery and cabin filter replacement and my Honda is driving so smoothly and quietly. I forgot it could drive this nicely. I ve used this place for over 10 years and I am so extremely grateful for their continued help. I ve had lots of mechanical and non-mechanical repairs done here as well as regular maintenance. I never worry if I m getting a good deal or about the quality of work. They are always there for me. I recommend this place to everyone.

This was the second time I've brought my car in for repairs. I needed it checked out since the "check engine light " was on. They did a thorough diagnosis and quickly let me know what repairs were needed. In addition to fixing that problem, they also recommended I replace a front.wheel bearing and replace the brake fluid. They let me know up front the cost for each repair and had my car ready when they promised. I was very hesitant about taking my vehicle to another auto repair shop. But once I got there. Hernan was very honest and provided me with options. He provided pictures of my car parts and explained in details what was going on. I was really surprised and thankful that Hernan kept me updated on the progress of my vehicle. This was a great experience doing something I hate... Car maintenance. But Hernan made it painless with his amazing customer service. I even watched as he helped an older couple trying to help their grandson. He was just very caring and empathetic and you can tell that this place is going to tell you the truth. I've done business through a ton of different auto repair establishments over the years. Until I was referred to Sav-Mor Automotive, I've never truly been happy with my service or repair prices. Sav-Mor is thorough, knowledgeable and trustworthy. They treat you with respect and let you know what you need to repair now and what you need to address down the road. Pricing is fair. They provide you with a detailed analysis and full inspection breakdown of your entire vehicle with pictures and explanations. You don't feel like they are trying to bend you over the barrel to empty your pockets.They communicate through out the entire process. They actually get to know their customers on a personal level which is refreshing and unheard of these days.
