Went to Plano Tire to have a battery replaced in my wife's 2017 Explorer. They are a Interstate Battery Dealer ( I prefer Interstate Batteries) and they had the correct size in stock. They were quick, and efficient getting the battery in the car. Gene, and Doris the owners are very nice to deal with, and have been there since 1973. They will work with you if you have an issue, and can work around your schedule as well. Would highly recommend.

These guys are simply the best. Old school with a get it done mentality. Gene is always nice and he remembers details about customers so the next time you see him, he will mention something that the average person would forget. The point that I am making is they are attentive to small details about their customers. This shop is one of the few places that I can get my truck aligned because its a quad cab with a long bed so I always get it aligned here after getting tires. They are always quick to handle inspections too. Many years ago I was a mechanic as my primary source of income so naturally I still do some things on my own. Its never a problem if i want to do a portion of work myself then have them do another part. Example would be like replacing my ball joints. I would do that then they would align it. Never give me dirty looks because I did the expensive stuff myself. I appreciate that so much that when money got better with my business, I would just drop it off for any repair I needed as I didnt have time to do my own work anymore. These guys stand behind their work. They are honest, friendly and this shop is the only place I go. I would gladly recommend them to family and friends. -pro tip they also work on large dump trucks and occasionally have seen semi trucks go there to get tires. Inspections for larger work vehicles too.

We were in Dallas for a couple days and badly needed a new set of tires. Marty was great tracking them down and getting us taken care of in one day. This was a really good experience. We got what we needed when we needed it at the price quoted, from some really nice, competent people. Highly recommended! We ll be back!!

Plano tire company did such a wonderful job fixing my Hummer H2. They figured out all the issues when all the other mechanic shops couldn t even get a clue and have the most reasonable prices I ve seen out of all the competition if you have a problem that nobody else can figure out then Plano tire company is the way to go

I called Plano tire, among other places. Rachel answered the phone and seemed really nice, she listened to what I needed and pointed me towards the right person, Drew I believe he said his name was. I had a serious emergency with my brakes and needed help until payday, drew didn t know if they could do that (understandable) and he was talking to his manager in the background while I was on hold. His manager said I could bring it in and they d do the fronts, pay on payday and they d do the back. I told my wife everything was taken care of and we d be up and running the next day. I called the take it up there the next day and the manager that Drew talked to said they don t do that and I d have to leave it until payments rendered , and gave me a 4 days time estimate. Not a good way to get business. Anyway, NuBrakes comes to you, 5 stars, they said they d be here at a certain time and called to ask if they could come 2 hours early. They changed my oil, bled my brakes, replaced my rotors and pads. All in my driveway and I can pay payments (not a dime out of my pocket) for services rendered, I honestly don t know how I never heard of them before.This has nothing to do with an employee review or quality of work. It s more about the quality of morals, I told my family I had everything taken care of, then had to tell them I failed. But it s ok manager I didn t tell them it was because you assured me. I m a man and took responsibility for trusting for trusting you. Thank you Drew and Rachel, please keep that kind of customer service going.

Gene, Doris and Marty are simply fantastic!! They have great prices, and you could not ask for better in terms of honesty, quality and knowing that they truly care for all their customers like family! Not just tires, but mechanical repairs too!!! Can't say enough how honest and diligent they are and truly treat you with the care they would for their own family!!!

I usually do not leave reviews but in the case of Plano Tire I just felt that I needed to let everyone know how a true business should be run. The owner, Gene, is a very kind Christian man and the people he has working for him are top-of-the-line. Marty & Doug...you guys really rock. Thank you for all your kindness and may you have a wonderful 2023

I rarely write google reviews but I just had to come on here and share my experience. This place exceeded my expectations. I needed one of my rims bent back into place and upon calling multiple tires shops this was the only one I made any traction with. I was debating on just buying a whole different rim but what complicated that was the rims I have on my car are discontinued. I was quoted at $180 which was significantly less then buying a new rim, I was in need of a quick fix as well and this place met all of my criteria. It was a 3 day job and let me tell you they went above and beyond. Not only did they bend my rim back in place they also fixed the serious curb rash my rim had. My rim looks brand new like the first day I got my car. I would like to see if I could get a quote on fixing the curb rash my other rims have because they did an excellent job. All in all I highly recommend this place with all your wheel and tire needs. I will definitely do business with them in the future.

Customer service can be much better. These men have a rough way of talking to customers. I brought my car in for a new set of tires a couple days later when I brought my car for service the dealer said whoever put my tires in broke a sensor now I m paying a significant amount for what they broke. I wouldn t recommend this placa starting with customer service.

Want to apologize about a review these guys do everything right. When you use to street mechanics doing things wrong. Simply satisfying is what these guys are. Balanced my Truck Tires like they where supposed too!

I've been a Customer Here for 3 years. I've received Service for tires and Inspections. But Today will be the last Day. The price to Mount a Tire adding a Stem and a Balance which I didn't ask for on my Semi $138 and change. The tire was mine and disposalI I've done. Very disappointing this place was a God send till today

I've been taking my 2007 Itasca Sunova to these folks for service for 8 years. They are fantastic! They get the work done when promised, have knowledge and patience and get the work done right the first time. Try them. You won't be disappointed.

Rim repair/straightening done on my tire after I hit a pothole. They did a fantastic job and the rim looks brand new. Price was very reasonable as well.

For decades this has been a wonderful family owned business where they treat you fair and honest and like family! This is an excellent place not only for tires but general service and mechanic work too! Gene the owner and his staff have serviced all of my cars, my parents cars and their business fleet teucks as well for over 3 decades. Can't recommend anyone else but them to take care of your car!

I got off work, went to my car and had a flat tire. I called Plano Tires and they were out within 30 minutes. Patched up my tire and I started home. The man that came out was really kind and did a great job. He worked fast and I was very pleased with the service. Cost was reasonable as well. I'm very appreciate they worked me in when it was almost time to close. Thank you!Val

I learned many years ago to steer clear of budget tire shops and lean towards independent dealers. This one. They know tires and I've been going to them for 16 years. I've never had issues with a poor tire mount to the rim and losing a seal with a slow leak. These guys are pros! Most highly recommend.

My experiences have always been positive. I have a car and an RV. Plano Tire has regularly serviced my vehicles and kept them on the road. Recently needed a state inspection. Their inspector was out, but they managed to call someone to take care of me. They really took the extra effort.

Cannot begin to describe the phenomenal service and care this company provides. So many auto repair places are untrustworthy. These guys are everything you will ever need for almost any car!! The first time they helped me - I had a flat tire. At work. It was a mile or two from their location but they came out on site and fixed it. Then, another time a car of ours experienced a catastrophic brake failure on 75. We drove straight to them. They could have fixed it...charged us...but they looked it up and found that there was a recall on it. They told us to save money -- go back to the dealer. That saved us $1000+ Those are just two of the many amazing experiences with them. They will always be our "go to" auto repair place.

Got a flat tire and was able to make it to the gas station around the corner; I called and Marty offered to walk over to see if it was drivable. Once I got my car to the shop, they offered to check if my spare was usable in addition to putting on a new tire. They told me upon pick up that while the spare fit, the lug nuts did not and Gene offered to purchase special lug nuts on my behalf so I could avoid the cost of new full sized spare.

The owner went above and beyond to help us out when we broke down on his property. If you like supporting companies that support disabled veterans, then this is the place to bring your business. If you have a converted school bus, he is more than willing and able to meet your needs. I cannot speak highly enough of this place and its employees. Everyone pitched in to help and even 4 months later still making sure everything went right!

I was in last week to get a front end alignment for my 2009 Chevy Colorado. A few days later I took my Truck to different shop to have some brake work done. While inspecting the brakes, the other mechanic found that I had a bad tie-rod. I mentioned to him that I just had the alignment done. His comment was that Plano Tire should have seen the issue when doing the alignment. So I asked him to fix the tie-rod. Not even thinking that I should have had him put it back together so I could take it to Plano tire them inspect what they missed to begin with. But that s what the owner (Gene) said I should have done when I asked him to re-align the steering now that the new tie-rod has been fixed.Gene instantly questioned my honesty and was not even slightly willing to accept that maybe his alignment guy did not catch the issue. I didn't even think this would be an issue with Gene because I had always known him to be a stand-up guy who stood behind the work done at Plano tire. I've been doing business with Plano Tire for about 8 years. I've bought several sets of tire for my truck, my boat trailer, my Jeep, my wife's car, my daughter's car, my son's car, and even a boat trailer. I've recommended Plano Tire to my friends on numerous occasions. I've even brought friends to their doorstep personally to do business with.What really would it cost Plano Tire to do a realignment and make a long-term customer happy? Not much when you consider the amount of future business lost! The funny thing about bad reviews, a business never really knows how much business a bad review will cost them.As for me, I won t be back to Plano Tire. And if you are looking for a mechanic/garage that will stand behind their work, treat you with respect, and honor your long history with them I suggest you look somewhere else.

Update 6/19/18 - I spoke with the owner. He said they do in fact have the equipment to properly align a Sprinter and doesn't know why his empolyee would have said they do not.. Because of the issues he refunded the cost of the alignment and I promised to edit my review which I am doing now that the credit card transaction has completed. I am revising my rating from 1 star to 3.They may be good at a lot of things, but not alignment of a Mercedes Benz Sprinter. I wish I would have read the negative review about their abilities to align before I wasted $179. When I told them it is as bad after as before, they gave me a lot of attitude, aligned it again, and told me the new tires are going to wear quickly. The tech also said they don't really have the equipment to do the job the way the dealer does and he wishes they wouldn't keep taking these jobs. After driving several miles, the vehicle handles worse than ever.

Sunday morning my rear tire popped and I was their in the area for business travel ( I work as a moover in relocation comoany) and they totally helped us out helped us w my cracked rim everything worked out perfectly and his shop is very clean and organized I loved also the fact its a family business
