If you re needing transmission work done HIGHLY RECOMMEND Plano Automatic Transmission! You won t be disappointed! They were amazing to work with. Very reasonably priced! Customer service with Liz is top notch! She explained everything to me every step of the way and kept me updated! This was my second vehicle to have work done here and we will never go anywhere else! Thank you so much Plano Automatic Transmission!

I needed a second opinion repair work for my clutch/transmission. Plano Auto Transmission was recommended by another respected auto repair shop. I found them to be honest, reasonable and do good work. The front desk was friendly. Maybe I caught them at a wrong time, but they are very busy which is kind of a good thing. In the future I plan to take my cars to them for any transmission work and also would recommend them to friends and family.

After extensive research, I decided to take my car to this shop for a transmission rebuilt. They were straightforward and answered all of my questions. My car is good to go, and I m overall happy with my experience. Highly recommend this shop!

I have nothing but good things to say about this business. I brought my truck in thinking that I was going to need a transmission rebuild however after their technicians looked at my truck we found out that the transmission is in great shape and it was a completely different problem. I really appreciate their honesty and their integrity. Thank you Liz as well for the great communication throughout the process. Highly highly highly recommend!!!

They replaced my transmission, and so far, it seems to work. 4 stars because it took them 6 weeks to get it done. They were super busy, had over 40 cars in queue (the owner told me when I called for status update). It's a good sign that they are trusted by so many, but I had to call almost daily on week 4 to get it going.

Called on a Thursday and they got me in on a Tuesday and had me all fixed up by Wednesday. They didn t just try to sell me a new transmission they truly did their research and due diligence to exhaust all potential problems in a fair and honest way. By far the best transmission service center in the DFW Metroplex. Diagnosed an issue on my try truck that I have been living with for over a year. They diagnosed and repaired the transmission in one day then charged me a very reasonable price for the service.

After buying my 2012 Tahoe 7 months later the transmission goes bad I drove it for another year limping it around and finally took it to Jeff at Plano transmission. I thought it would just be a torque converter at first turns out the whole transmission was bad after doing some research I found out the 6l80 has 100,000 mi lifespan set by general motors. So I let Jeff do the complete rebuild of the transmission and although it was a little more than I thought it was right in the price range of everyone else. But I know with Jeff from being a neighbor of his and my business he does good work and he stands behind it I finally after 3 years of payments love my Tahoe it drives normal. Dropped my truck off asking for a price to rebuild the trans. Gave them a paragraph long explanation of it's past symptoms and current symptoms, but asked for a price to rebuild it. I called them after a week to see where it was at. Got "it will be tomorrow" for another week. Finally they said they test drove it and couldn't replicate the problem. Picked the truck up after 2 and a half weeks and could not even get a price out of them. Waste of time.

The owner Jeff and the garage was recommended to me by another great garage, Quality First Auto Service in Richardson. My vehicle needed a clutch replacement. This shop did an amazing job. I had a performance clutch installed (not OEM) and Jeff was right on point and took the time to talk with me about my vehicle after the repairs. They charged exact amount of the quotation.I am very blessed that I have met Jeff and had him do the work needed. I definitely recommend this shop for all your transmission and clutch work.

Great guys! They did a fantastic job on my 87 Mustangs AOD fixing another shops poor work.These guys know their transmissions and take the time to explain the issue and how they will go about fixing it. The car came back performing better than ever before. I would highly recommend them!

My Jeep wrangler had a P107 and other codes come up. The dealer recommended a new transmission. As a challenge to the dealer's diagnostic I dropped the pan and replaced the transmission fluid and filter my self but the issue remained. My mechanic recommended this shop as an alternative to the dealer. I called and they gave me a quote over the phone. I took it there to have them rebuild the transmission as the dealer had recommended but 2 hours later the called me to let me know I was just short on transmission fluid. They added three quarts $21 in all and the Jeep is fine now. Honesty is one quality the owner has in running his business. I will recommend this shop to anyone.

For Auto transmission services, these guys are A#1 In N. Texas. The first time I visited there on recommendation of another happy customer, they informed me about a Lube Guard product that improved the "flutter" problem I was experiencing.Since that didn't eliminate it, I had them check out what else was needed. Their Tech, Dago, did a thorough analysis to discover engine misfires causing it all - the transmission is fine (No charge! How many shops would offer that).This place is busy, been at that locale for years and maintains a clean BBB record.

They've been in business since 1966. Very knowledgeable not only Transmissions but the whole vehicle if they don't do that kind of repair they can recommend somebody that does. They guarantee their work you get professional work at fair prices. We have been taking our vehicles there for years. I highly recommend this business.

Excellent service and extremely knowledgeable! They are very trustworthy and I highly recommend these guys. Took my car to another transmission company and they could not locate the issue, even with taking my car semi apart. The big chain brand transmission company then wanted $398 to tear down my car to look for the issue and estimated my bill would by $2000-$2600. Then I came to Plano Automatic Transmission and they test drove my car and located the issue in minutes. They referred me to several honest mechanics that could fix my non transmission issue, saving me over $2000. I am so thankful I got a second opinion and went here.

Awesome crew, did a perfect job rebuilding the transmission in my truck. They don't knickle and dime either so you know nobody's going to open your transmission and hold you hostage. I waited a good while before posting this review, must have been at least a year by now. Solid repair.

Jeff and Plano Transmission came highly recommended. I wanted a rebuilt AOD for my old ford truck. Jeff helped me get a good core, and took the time to answer all my questions about the rebuild plan.In the end the build didn't go as smoothly as either of us would have liked. Jeff kept working at a difficult-to-solve problem... at no extra charge. He also never acted frustrated by my frequent requests for updates. The transmission is done, my truck is on the road, and I'm very happy

Jeff came highly recommended by my mechanic. My mechanic thought there might be a transmission problem, but wasn't certain. I took it to Plano Transmission at the end of the business day, and Jeff offered to put it up on the rack and look at it right then. He spent about 45 minutes looking at it and finally came to the conclusion that there was no transmission problem. He charged NOTHING and sent me on my way. If I ever have a transmission issue, I will take it to Plano Transmission!

Just took my 21yr old car in to look at clutch or transmission noise. They narrowed down the cause and have a plan to fix it! Awesome since I don't want to buy a new car yet.

Liars & Crooks ,Going to sue in civil court .Took it back 3 times I over the coarse of a year .they would forget the same lies they told me months earlier .I'm having it fixed by a master mechanic.that is going to testify in court what was done or not done . There is a special place in hell for guys like jeff....Jeff.....I will not let this one go!

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a car repair. I was told to bring my car in, I did so left it for 2 days, I called for an update and was told they had no idea when they would get to it, so I picked it up. The owner promised to call the next week, but did not. I called again and was told I would be called for sure , and again nothing. This is the last place I would ever take my car. I have no idea how they even stay in business....

Club Odyssey is BACK!!!! Praise God!!! Plano Automatic Transmission is Heaven on Earth!! Jeff and Lee are simply SPECTACULAR ANGELS!!! No hard sale, no up sale - just the simple plain truth at the honest and simple price with a nationwide warranty. Guys if you aren't going to them, you are simply an IDIOT, yes - I said it, an idiot. If you want to pay everyone else's prices - go see these guys and pay me the rest (it will be about the same amount you pay them, if not more). They take the time to CARE about you and your vehicle. They understood this was my only car and put me at the top of the list. With the updates they gave me and the time they got it done in, it felt like the van was the only thing they were working on (oh and good luck finding parking with all of the cars they are working on there). Don't question, just do it - go. You won't be sorry.
