I d like to give a nod and 3 Thumbs Up to Kwik Kar Plano Preston Rd @ Spring Creek Pkwy. I got a State Inspection & a synthetic oil change. The service was outstanding, the pricing was fair and the Mgr went far above and beyond for me, including not getting my car s interior dirty and many other things to create an outstanding value for me. Thank you to Garrett the Mgr who worked with me and Dawn the sales associate who interacted with me initially. I am VERY Particular about my car and insist that nothing is overlooked. They were great. In addition, I spoke to several people in the waiting area who were repeat customers and also raved about the service here. If you need auto maintenance or repairs, try this shop. You won t be sorry.

There are no words to express how amazing and hard working and customer friendly that Joe, Aven and Jay are! They bent over backwards to find a solution to my horrible tie rods and flat tire. If I could give 100 stars I would. I will no longer use any other automotive company, even ones that have been nice to me in the past, because they have however gained my trust, confidence and loyalty for as long as I m fortunate to have cars that need servicing!

Highly recommend them. I have took several of my vehicles over the years here. They are always so nice and professional. They don't just try to take your money. Fixed my AC for $100 couldn't be happier.

Bradley is great and really cares about customers. I didn t feel like he is trying to schmooze me. First time I ve gotten my oil change and they told me my air filter did NOT need to be changed and was still good. Haha He was very friendly and efficient. Handled working by himself with several customers very well. Didn t give 5stars just because it was an expensive oil change but the ladies day discount definitely helps- $20 off first Wed of the month.Also not 5stars just because the coffee station was a mess and not stocked. Didn t really work well. Kids room dirty.

I called into Kwik Kar with mechanical questions regarding my battery and they were able to answer them quick and asked me to bring my car in for same day service. Noah worked on my car (oil change) and gave me reasonable suggestions for vehicle improvement. I was in and out and left feeling like my car was in amazing hands! This location has amazing customer service.

This kwik kar is a bit further than others but always happy to make it out to it for the customer service. Once again surprised with the exceptional service provided by Joe and the team. Joe was kind and helpful from the very start. Employees like Joe should be a staple as they set the example and keep customers coming back. Thanks again!

The team was very professional and thorough. I m disappointed that after I paid and came home there was a coupon in my mail. It would have been nice if the office proactively offered (especially a repeat customer like myself) $14 off synthetic oil change or $5 off state inspection. It would have been the perfect experience. Trust me, $20 off a $210 bill would have made me feel like a valued customer and I doubt the $20 would have eaten all the profit from us.

Had the state inspection done here. Staff was very quick and helpful. It didn't take much time at all. They have a nice kid playroom available if you bring your kids.

Amazing service at this place! I came in trying to diagnose my car but staff members corrected me kindly and fix my real issue which was a simple brake fluid replacement. That is integrity service at its finest. Im coming here evertime I need service for my car!

Lots of potential here. I called this morning and inquired about getting my annual inspection. Friendly enough guy answered the phone so I came by later in the day. Not warmly greeted at the desk but maybe I was expecting more. The waiting area needs some housekeeping but the service guy did his thing pleasantly and efficiently. I think I had work done on a car about 10 years ago here and I recall it being a busy business. Pro Tip: Great location and good curb appeal; maybe do some coaching at reception and update the waiting area and you can probably do a nice business here.

After a bad experience at one of their competitors five days prior, I brought my car in for (another) oil change. A corrective measure I thought was prudent. I was right. Keegan identified all the errors from the previous shop (professionally without trash-talking their ineptitude) and fixed them for me. He went above and beyond to make sure my concerns were addressed and my car was well cared for. He definitely earned a repeat customer today!

Very rude lady manager with ball cap doesn't know nothing about cars and then also wants to argue and fight with customers about how trained she is and how correct she is and it's her way or the highway. They even messed up and over filled the oil in my engine causing a seal to bust! I didn't even go in for an oil change either! I needed something else checked out. Smh! Stay far away from these unprofessionals! You have been warned

The Managers Mike and George have earned 2 loyal customers due to their amazing service! I brought my car in because my alignment was off turns out my tie rods and front struts were done for. That is not a cheap fix for the car I have, but they worked with me and we looked a few different options depending on what I could afford to make sure I left in a road safe vehicle. While we decided in the end to just replace everything ( most cost effective in the long run) they really did everything in their power to do right by me. My car is running great and the guys at this shop know what they are doing. They are also very polite without being condescending which I get a lot being a female while dealing with mechanics. They were open and transparent about everything they did. I feel confident recommending this shop to others! Take a chance on them I promise it's worth it!

Went in a couple of weeks ago to get an oil change done on my 2013 VW Passat. I've been taking my car here to get the oil done since it was purchased with no problems. Due to getting synthetic it has been on the pricey side, but this time they charged me $40 more than I had ever paid previously. When I asked about this difference the price of my oil change progressively got cheaper. Unsure if the guy was trying to take advantage of the situation as I am a 20-something year old female who doesn't know much about cars, but trying to charge that much extra and then decreasing it down seemed sketchy.On another note, when doing my oil change the technician noticed something wrong with a CV Axle on my vehicle. That wasn't the issue, the problem was when he proposed that I "ask my boyfriend" about it or "ask my dad". I didn't think that getting an oil change included being patronized these days.Wouldn't recommend, despite being a consistent customer for the past five years.

I highly recommend Kwik Kar on Preston Rd, Plano. Quick, efficient repairs, excellent communication when handling repairs that take time such as ordering parts; all in all, I've been very satisfied with this garage for a couple of years now and trust them completely!

I dropped by to get my street legal motorcycle inspected. First sign of a problem...I pulled up to ask where to park so I could get an inspection. I overheard the Kwik Kar employee tell a gentleman in a Nissan Small SUV that he had to use synthetic oil at over $100 dollars or they would not perform the oil change. He stated that if they used convential oil and the car broke down, the store would be liable for all repairs. Never heard that one before, especially when a customer requested conventional oil. That customer pulled way. Side note: I ran into him later at the store that did my inspection and he said he had never been treated like that at any oil change service vendor. He said it was idiotic, and he was right.I was asked if my bike had been there before and I stated yes, a year ago, so he directed me to the spot near the inspection work table. After a bit of time, I was told they would not do my inspection. When I asked why, I was told it was a "dirt bike". I explained they provided inspections and had done so before on THIS bike. So why not now? At this point, Employee Number One steps forward and said "We don't need no hypothecticals about inspections, we been trained and know. You gonna pay the $500 dollar fee when we get fined?" I said that there won't be a fine, because it is a street legal motorcycle. Employee Number One then says "See, you didn't say you'd pay the $500 fine". It was reminicent of a playground argument. Employee Number Two then explained to me that the laws have changed and my bike was not street legal. He said there are motorcycles and their are dual sports bikes. I said he was correct, but mine is a street legal dual sport (not an off road bike). When he said he can look at it and tell its not street legal, I explained it had horn, turn signals, and DOT tires. He said he did not care what brand of tires it had...unbelieveable. I offered to explain what the difference was between off road tires and DOT (Dept of Transportation) legal tires was. He didn't want to hear it. Fortunately, one gentleman that worked there asked Employee Number Two to hear me out. Employee Number Two refused to listen and I explained they lost all my business and anyone else I knew. At this point I told them they were ignorant (not stupid) of the rules. Employee Number One said it was my choice and be sure to tell the whole story. Employee One and Two were not discussing this with me, they were arguing this with me. Tone and demeanor were not professional in any sense.The sad thing is that my family and I used this location in the past and it was excellent and we received great service. Not sure what changed, but Ignorant Employees have taken over. Good news is that this will probably be self limiting and a change will probably be made in staff when upper management figures out they hired and staffed this location with a few Ignorant Employees. There was at least one gentleman there that tried to work with me. They need to promote him.My bike is a street legal dual sport with DOT street legal tires and the full complement of blinkers, tail light, brake light, horn, etc. I was able to go down the road and get an inspection done at a professionally run competitor to Kwik Kar.

Kwik Kar tried the most outrageous upsell ever on my wife. She took my son's car in for an inspection (was her old car but now his first car). It's a 2007 model but low mileage.The inspection failed because the center brake light bulb had burned out. It's a $4 part that takes less than a minute to replace. She overheard one of the mechanics arguing with 2 other people, one is apparently the manager, that it only needed the bulb replaced.When they went back into the office to tell her it failed, they said it had a cracked wheel (no cracks found just a pothole dent that's been there for years) and required full motor mount replacement and gave her a quote for over $2,500. When she refused, they kept pressuring her that the work has to be done now and it took her getting angry, arguing with them, and calling me at work before they would give the car back to her.We will never take any of our cars to Kwik Kar for any services again.

I was driving around gas stations trying to put air in my tires with my 3 month old upset in the car and was late for an appointment. I saw Kwik Kar and asked if they could do it for me. Without hesitation the woman at the front came out and filled them for me so I could stay in the car with my baby. When I went to pay she told me no need. I couldn t believe how nice and helpful she was to me! Just for this I ll be going back for future services :)

Took a long time for a kwik oil change and they didn t carry any wiper blades that could go on my VW Passat. I ve never had an issue anywhere else where the wiper blades they carry don t fit my vehicle. Silly.

I had an excellent experience at this Kwik Kar location. I asked them to perform a 5 different services on my car and they only did 3 of them saying they don't have their skilled professional to perform the other two. That gesture built a level of trust as they did not want to perform subpar work on my car and they preferred to lose the revenue to maintain trust and the quality of service. The staff is also super courteous and helpful. Additionally, their waiting lounge is also very comfortable. I also found their rates very reasonable as compared to many others where I inquired for the same services. I would definitely recommend them based on my today's experience.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Auto maintenance

Amazing experience and team. I showed up in the late afternoon on a Friday and was greeted immediately by the assistant manager Aven. He helped me fix a small issue on my car himself in about 5 minutes and didn't charge me anything. So professional. I can tell these guys really take care of their customers. If you need work on your car in Plano, seriously don't go anywhere else. I'll definitely be back if my car needs work. I am very grateful to have come here. Thank you so much Aven!

I bring company vehicles here for state inspections and other maintenance. Very easy to work with them, and they are up front about everything. I am in and out pretty fast, but it depends on how busy they are when I arrive.

Location is dirty in the customer area. Men's bathroom needs cleaning and moping and there are no paper towels. I was curious about the ladies room, the door was open and the floors were even worse than the men's room. Lobby has trash under many chairs. After checking in, the young lady at the counter was on headphones talking to someone about her airpod case and cussing loud enough I could hear it. Oil change was an oil change.
