I got an oil change via groupon, and yes I paid the extra $14 service/shop fee. It is still cheaper than paying for a full synthetic oil change regular price. If you use a groupon please read the fine print so there are no surprises. Customer service was great. Thanks again, will return.

Surprised about some bad reviews. This is the first time here and just got a state inspection. Customer service was friendly and it took less than 10 minutes to get me in and out. People need to realize when they come in changes how long thr wait is. Heard a customer didn't pass their inspection but if they made the changes they would reinspect it for no extra cost. Would highly recommend this place and I am for sure coming back.

I went to DEKRA PLANO by purchasing a $54 coupon from Groupon. (02.11.2023-sunday). He told me that I could use this coupon. and they did the oil change. Then they asked me to pay $14.50 extra. When I asked why, they said it was for labor and service. I paid without any problems. this is not true . I was not informed in advance. Everyone please be careful. This business is not honest.

I had gone for my vehicle's annual state inspection. The staff were extremely friendly and provided quick assistance. They also provided me with all the required details. I went on a weekday afternoon, so I didn't have to wait for long, the job was done in half hour. Thanks guys! :)

Stumbled upon DERKA after a suspicious visit to a Kwik Car for a state inspection where they claimed my brakes needed replacing right after I changed them. Dodged that scam and found DERKA for my state inspection. No nonsense, no fluff just honest service. The waiting room's a bit dusty, but hey, I still come back every year for inspections and even oil changes. They keep it real

The front desk person on Saturday is the rudest customer service rep you can find. The place needs to be gifted a clock so they value their time and their customers. Said 1 hour for the car to be inspected, went back in 1 hour and 15 min and the front desk told me (in a condescending manner, of course) that it will be an hour more. This place used to be OK, but is now a joke.

Came to this location because my 1st experience when I brought my motorcycle was great. Not today. They have only 1 guy working front & back on a Saturday, isn't very friendly & bit condescending when I was only trying to help. He goes into bathroom for 10 min, walks around like he's got all the time in the world. No sense of urgency whatsoever! Then the many people who come in to ask questions who aren't prepared take away from him going to the back to do the actual work. Waited an 1 hr 25 min before he took my car for state inspection, I feel bad for the guy, but you're in customer service industry. It took about 30 min for actual inspection itself. In my 30 yrs of driving, I've never experienced this type of wait but will drive a bit further and go back to my old location on Independence & Parker.

The service advisor here is a fraud. I brought my car for emission test. He took my keys and sent the car to the back for a while and came back telling me my inspection did not pass because my car windows tint are too dark. He knew the windows were dark before he entered and drove to the back. He could have told me sir I see your windows are too dark but he did not tell me until payment time just to charge me for nothing done. I can t remember his name - he is a matured white man and this happened few days ago.

I visited this station today for inspection at 4:56 pm and refused the service. Usually, they close 6 but still do NOT accept the vehicle for the inspection, saying early closure. A few minutes to 30 min are okay for early close, but more than an hour without proper NOTICE is not good. If you change the service timings, you should update the website or inform when someone calls the phone. LAST but not LEAST is the attitude of the person at the station. He is NOT a customer FRIENDLY, for sure.I hope you take feedback carefully and fix issues.

Came here for a smog check/state inspection and it was the easiest and fastest service I ve ever had. I did call ahead to make sure it was not busy. But it was literally in and out. Very happy with this service!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My girlfriend took our car in to get a state inspection on a Saturday around noon, and Josh who was working there said it would take about 20-30 mins...My girlfriend ended up waiting over 2 hours before getting the car in for a state inspection....TURNS OUT JOSH FELL ASLEEP IN THE CAR FOR ABOUT AN HOUR WHILE DOING THE STATE INSPECTION....Josh seemed out of it and was the only one working there on a busy Saturday.It is mind blowing to fall asleep in a customers car and making someone wait 3 hours for a 10 min state inspection..When I called the place to talk to Josh to see what was going on, he answered the phone very rudely, argued with me over the phone, and then HUNG UP ON ME.I am reporting this to the Texas DPS/DMV.If I could give a 0 star review, I would. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SOMEONE SO INCOMPETENT OF A SIMPLE STATE INSPECTION.Absolutely TERRIBLE SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE.DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. There are plenty of other places that are accommodating and competent on such a simple task.Owner - Take a look back on your cameras on 04/08/2023 around 2-3pm to see Josh asleep in a white BMW.

I bought a Groupon for 5 quarts all-synthetic oil change. Dekra charged me $25.38 over and above under the pretense that my car takes 6 quarts. I googled and found that my car only takes 5.3 quartz. So in effect they charged me $25.38 for .3 quarts. I asked them to only fill 5 quarts to which they did not agree. They had already redeemed the Groupon so I was left with no other option. So I ended up paying ~$70 for an oil change that I regularly get changed from the debater for $55.Unfortunately, we have such dis-honest oil change shops in the community. Buyers Beware!

The white guy with beard is very rude and talk to you like you own him a millions dollars, you don't have to smile or anything even though you are in services business, but at least don't talk to people rude, I was about to leave but since already in line and I did my inspection there, but a week later, my vehicle is still not registered with state, when I called him, all he said is not our problem, we already done your inspection, if you information is right, it should be registered, you need to check with the state, he didn't even bother to check who am I. by the way, where I was there, people came in to question him why he over charged them, his answer is that he already refunded it. But why would you over charge in the first place? I normally go to another location on Custer and Legacy and never had problem, but this one is for sure big no.

The staff in this facility are very friendly. I've been here twice for inspection, once when it was crowded once not so. Both times I was provided the same level of service. Hope they continue the good work!

Took my car in for oil change and was told it s too much of a liability to do Fiat oil change. Are you kidding me? It s a first time I hear that and been doing oil change for the past 4 years. Many times are the same location.

Never again. My wife was here last week and waited an hour. Was told only one person working at this location. I watched one person on my visit that took over an hour. Do yourself a favor, go someplace else.

Literally the slowest place I ve ever been in my life. Which is fine, if you tell me that. You can t tell everyone it ll be an hour and then take over double that (which has happened twice now)

Wow if I could give zero stars I would. Went to go get an oil change for my aunts car and we stood around waiting for someone to help us for at least ten minutes. We knocked loudly on the back door that goes to the work area. We also opened the same door and called out. No one came up so we left.

Last year 2021, I went to several places literally to get an inspection. I paid for them all only to be told that their diagnostic machine could not read my car? Finally, after stewing for three days, I did some asking around about which establishment knew how to inspect my type of car. In a search online I found DEKRA! I called ask questions and was happy that the Young man knew alot about my car. I got there clean store, no wait I was in and out in literally seconds, the two young men were friendly and very knowledgeable concerning my vehicle. They manage to get done in about 10-15mins what 5 other establishments could not do in 5 trips. I will definitely be back this year 2022

HORRIBLE, very bad experience. Brought my car in for an inspection on a Sunday afternoon, from the moment I walked in the door, both employees were unfriendly and extremely rude. It was very awkward and made me feel like maybe they think I m someone else. I was slow at locating my insurance information on my cell phone and both employees looked absolutely disgusted and annoyed. (Keep in mind I was the only customer in there) I gave them the benefit of the doubt and continued to maintain a friendly approach. They did the inspection, and one of the employees, David, seemed to take great pleasure in telling me my car failed because the window tint is too dark. He proceeded to charge me $25 before he would give my keys back. Why didn t he say he believed the tint was too dark before the inspection?I took my car to another inspection place down the street, they tested the windows and told me they are just fine. Don t do business with DEKRA.

Went here to get my oil changed. I didn t have an appt I walked in and the guy up front told me 45 mins so I went and got my daughter out of the car came in and he took my car right away got me In and out in under 30 mins Bc I had my 2 yr old with. They were very nice and did their job quickly. I will definitely go back their for any of my car needs.

Update 4/2023: Lousy experience 2 times in a row. My 8 vehicles won't be back. I brought my car in at 3pm on a Friday and was told it would be 1 hour. I walked 6 miles around the surrounding neighborhoods, came back at 5:00, and there were still 2 cars ahead of me, including a formerly young guy who got there right after I did. I presume that young fellow's grandkids just graduated from college while he was waiting for his inspection to be done.Real talk: Kwik Kar will get you in and out in like 5 minutes. Sayonara, DEKRA. You've gone downhill and are a bad use of time. I'd rather go to "Inspections are 1% of our business and we're gonna rip you off hard for wipers or something" if it means they can get me out the door in 20 minutes.Update 4/2022: Still a great, 5/5 experience.Original Review: Great inspection experience. Pass or fail, this place provides quick service with a great attitude.

Brought my motorcycle in for an inspection, took about 5 minutes in and out the door. Employees were friendly but quiet, but in the middle of the day on a Wednesday - I get it!Love how fast, reliable and close by they are. Thanks!
