I recently had a very disappointing experience with this car maintenance shop. I brought my car in for a routine oil change, and shortly after arriving, the manager suggested I change the air filter and coolant fluid, to which I agreed.Upon completion of the service, I noticed that the airbag light was illuminated on the dashboard. I immediately brought this to the manager's attention, and he assured me that the light would turn off after driving a few miles. When the problem persisted into the afternoon, I returned to the shop, only to be told that the issue had nothing to do with the recent maintenance. They then requested $150 to diagnose the problem.I attempted to explain that my car had no issues before the maintenance, and I was met with hostility from the general manager, who started yelling and suggested I leave the shop. Incredibly, I managed to diagnose and resolve the issue myself, despite being told that I didn't understand car mechanics. For context, I hold a master's degree in mechanical engineering.In summary, my experience with this establishment was highly negative. It appears to be a scam, and I would strongly advise against wasting your time and money there.

Came in in the middle of my work day. Joseph and Tay not only gave me the best customer service but great price on breaks, rotors, and my bearings. They did it in awesome time too! Was able to make it back to work in time for an important meeting. They took GREAT care of me and will definitely come back to see them!

Todays visit was great. They (visits) haven t always been at this shop, but definitely more often than not I enjoy the service, the timeliness and the effort. My issue in the past has been attitudes of certain employees rather execution. Even when I didn t have a wonderful experience it was corrected and I appreciate that.I don t like dropping lots of dollars but when I do, I like knowing that the job will be done well and I will be communicated with along the way. That s important to me. People change and have good days and bad days but when the service and execution are the same regardless of who s there then I ll go back, every time!

Great place for oil changes and brake service! Joseph was very affable and knowledgeable and made my son's elantra brake a lot more smoothly and safely! He was also very helpful in applying coupons for the service! Very trustworthy, and we will return for future maintenance!!!

This was my first time at Brakes Plus in Plano as I referred by Discount Tires. The front desk later was super kind and sweet which made the environment welcoming! They ve definitely gained a new customer. Great customer service.

I had my brake pads and rotors replaced. Overall, had a pleasant experience. Ray recommended the best services for long term with the best offer they can give. As for the quality of the job, I guess it is still too early to say anything yet for now.Found a charge of an unserved service, and cannot get the refund but the store credit which I hope can remember it next time. And numbers on the receipt don t seem right.

I've had really good experiences at the Ohio and 121 Brakes Plus and with the Coit and Parker location. I think the management and employees definitely make these 2 locations top rated. It's important to be able to trust and rely on their suggestions when it comes to cars and I know (from my opinion) that I know they are honest and don't try to price gouge you just because your lack of knowledge.

Every time I come to this shop the crew has been able to diagnose and fix any problem. They also have a variety of different services for routine maintenance and upkeep. Zach is especially helpful and really knows his stuff. A GREAT mechanic! I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a regular maintenance or extensive repair.

Tay Campbell and the mechanics here were wonderful! Everything was explained thoroughly and honest evaluations given. The mechanic was experienced to handle a tricky fix without further delays and expenses. Tay made sure I had a ride to and from and that extra care was given to all the auto fluids for a 500 mile drive I had. I will absolutely take my cars here again and highly recommend this team!

Received great service from Brakes Plus! Specifically Tay and Daniella. I needed to get an alignment after getting new tires next door, both explained the process and were very kind. When my car was finally done being inspected, they gave me a very thorough explanation of what maintenance I need to perform on my car and WHY. As well as what I can expect if I go without the maintenance. I will definitely be bringing my car back here! Thank you Tay and Daniella!

LADIES BEWARE! The men here think you re stupid and will attempt to grossly take advantage of that. Sent my wife here for an inspection- big mistake. They quoted her over $5,000 (yes , 5k) to fix a multitude of issues on her 2011 vehicle (which you could probably buy for that price). Took the car myself to two other independent shops who quoted $300 for an easy-fix issue. Worse, they made her write a 5 star review while she waited for the inspection to be done , with the promise of $5 off of her service. Scum.

Don t be fooled by the good reviews. They gave the customers $10-20 bucks discounts to leave 5 stars reviews while doing some sloppy work.I have been a customer for several times and they did okay replacing the brakes until the recent time - I had my brakes replaced front and back but the hand brake got loose and not working after that. So I brought back and they said cleaning would fix it. I wasn t happy to pay the $65 cleaning since it apparently resulted from replacing the brakes but eventually I said ok(after all they gave me a $30 discount from $95 - the discount trick). What s more is later I was told to pay another $160 to fix something else in order to get it resolved. I said no and they wouldn t give my car key back if not paying for the $65 cleaning.After all they are not responsible for their own incompetency, and I m taking the car the dealership to get it properly fixed. Paying for their mechanical mistakes is not acceptable at all. My takeaway is they are only good for simple tasks(hopefully), expect nothing more. And if you notice something wrong after their service, bring it back asap because I am sure I m not the only one who received their poor service.

Nate was extremely helpful and professional! Came in to get my car looked at before a long road trip and he was able to set me up with an oil change and break pad replacements. Everyone at this location is quick and efficient. Joseph took care of our 2018 Nissan Sentra today. They diagnosed the problem quickly and completed the work in about an hour. That was basically redoing the entire brake system. Great job guys. That's why our family has trusted Brakes Plus for over 20 years (about 10 cars). Had a defective rim. Wound up breaking the lug stud and damaging the others. The folks at Brakes plus were friendly and professional and got us in and out quickly replaced all the lug studs and waited while I had a new rim delivered.
