My late mother purchased a car battery for my brother in 2021. I don't have a car that can jump start my brother's car and his battery seemed to be dead, so we brought the battery to this store. The guy behind the counter said the battery was dead, so he'll have to charge it then test it and it would be about 35-45 minutes. We left and came back and he told us the battery was bad, but we didn't have proof of purchase. He told us that because they're an older store, we'd have to call the original store we bought it from and they'd be able to help us. We came back two days later after we called the original store and the guy behind the counter said that they might be able to help, but they need the manager. We came back about an hour or two later and the manager helped us out. Initially the battery was reading as "good" but he noticed the voltage was too low and got the battery replaced under warranty with the information we got from calling the original store. I was expecting to be out $200+ for a new battery but we got it replaced under warranty. It seems like the employees here really do care and want to help people out and that goes a long way with me as far as returning to the store for future auto needs.

Poor customer relations.Purchased an item and requested review if it was a part that would fit my vehicle. They said its compatible so I purchased it. Turns out it is NOT compatible and the manufacturer FRAM has a less than user friendly website to cross reference this.Tried to return the incompatible part but it would not be accepted without a receipt.Showed them my purchase history on the card I used but they still would not accept. They could have reviewed their historical transactions as it was just purchased yesterday too. But still no sense of resolution seeking effort by them. Just an outright No. Stupid me for trusting their compatibility verification and me throwing away the receipt thinking I would be Satisfied with my purchase.Dont go here for general automotive advice or even automotive parts knowledge as they will lie to your face just to seem knowledgeable. If you end up purchasing here, make sure to hold on to the receipt.Dallas is lacking in the customer relations department.

I stopped by for some oil but they were sold out. Tony and Arnold took care of my needs and I was VERY satisfied!!!!

I swore I wouldn't go back here. Well, I did and bought a defective set of spark plug wires. I troubleshot tons of issues and did tons of unnecessary work as a result. Took them in for a refund and got told no refund on electrical parts. These are wires. Defective wires. Unreal what the people and this company pulls. If you can put up with what works there, just know this company has the most restrictive return policy in the industry. AutoZone and O'Reilly's don't have that kind of restrictions. Just this sorry outfit.

AAP refused to provide warranty replacement without a paper receipt.It looks AAP is not taking responsibility for former Sears customers - though as manufacturer owners they should take full ownership of warranty issues even if Sears is gone.I bought DieHard battery from Sears and it started to malfunction exactly after one year. I got stuck in a couple of places due to battery issues even when it was on maintenance charge all night. I had a battery check and AAP confirmed the battery is the problem.Advance Auto Parts bought DieHard batteries brand from Sears for $200mln when Sears got closed.

I found this place as I was looking for a UPS drop off for an Amazon return. I called and asked what a UPS access point was since that was a new term and WAS inside an auto parts place. Sure enough, after chatting w the manager, I was able to drop off my package there and also buy a needed auto item. Which is the whole point of why the owners of the shop decided to become an access point. Sometimes the package people actually buy auto stuff before they leave. Clever!

Used the App and placed my order and was able to pick up within 30 minutes and was in and out with online discount. Associates were helpful and friendly when I came to get my order and with no wait!

Lazy staff lurking around behind the registers. Online orders never ready when I get there. Multiple times have had to stand around and wait for them to go find something that they were too lazy to unpack, or accidentally hid in some back corner.Final straw was when I ordered a gallon of gear oil, showed up and *surprise* they couldn't find it. I said that's fine just let me grab 4 of your 1-qt bottles. Mgr said "That's not fair to us, you're talking about 32oz bottles". Proceeded to argue for several minutes about whether or not 32oz = 1qt. After convincing him, he said he actually can't do a swap like that (BS, I've done it before at other stores when they don't have a jug of oil I want but they do have qt bottles)I give up, going to Garland 1st Street from now on even though it's further from me. My condolences to yalls personal cars if you show the same work ethic/competence when maintaining them.

They advertise that they price match but when you bring it up they give you lame excuses on why they won't price match. I used to go to the cedar hill location where not only do they price match but also try to beat the competition by a few bucks. The only good thing about this place is that they can get their hands on most of the parts you can't find at autozone and oriellys

One of employees in the location tried not to redeem a warranty on the bad battery I bought two years ago, which have three years warranty. Then I went to another store to redeem it.

Sunday 11/13/22 10:00 am and the store is closed. No sign outside with any new hours. Actually the sign on the door said 8:30 am

The employees here hardly answer the phone. If you end up wasting your time by going to the store, they're all huddled up in the back messing around and when you finally get someone to the front, they aren't very knowledgeable or even welcoming. There are 3 other auto parts stores on this street, any of them are better. But if you must go to advance Auto parts, go to the one on coit.

Dont bother going to this location during posted hours of operation, they will be closed and the workers inside will wave you away. Look at other reviews below, hasn't been the first time this happened. Cancelled my order and placed at a location that's more dependable.

You can get almost everything you need for your car here. There's always something good on sale, from Rain-X to Techron. They'll test your battery and install new windshield wipers for you, both free. They also have a good perks program for shade tree mechanics.

Super easy online ordering and pickup! It s crazy have fast it is! Online pricing is very good too!I continued to choose Advance Auto Parts over AutoZone.

Only issue I had was after ordering my parts online with in-store pickup at a store that was not close to me to only get there to find out that they did not have them and had to wait till next day

Came by at 7:45am on a random Monday in September and they were closed. Hours posted in Google and on their door said 7:30am-9:00pm

Tony is a really knowledgeable mechanic and sales person. He explained in technical detail why my cts check engine light is on and what's the fix. He spent a long time talking to me and I appreciated that.

This store has the best group of guys that I have worked with as a non professional customer. I have managed repair shops for years and they treat you the same as a walk in as I was treated as a daily customer in the past.

Dont lose your receipt you wont get your refund back they make you go back to the store you got it from stick to autozone or oreilly refund is the best without receipt
