After being in this RV Park for the past Year it is finally time to move to the next. Traci has been a GREAT park manager, she has done so great helping out when problems have arised such as people like Katie Jo Kendrick ~ who like to let their dogs off leash & run after people and try to attack them... and then decide to leave a nasty review full of lies. Thankfully Traci was vigilant & asked these people to leave who denied to follow the park rules that you do receive when checking into the park! As all other parks we have ever stayed at there is a leash policy for a reason, this park happens to have a dog park for the dogs to safely run, but not everyone things its important to utilize! Traci has taken great care of us the past year from keeping propane tanks full, to helping us with issues when it comes tothe washers & dryers, or even if we had water pressure issues. She keeps her door open all day for people to come speak with her. I have never had an issue trying to get ahold of her when necessary! She is always very quick to answer any questions especially with billing or problems arising with other park residents. We are very sad to be leaving her & this awesome park but are thankful to have had such a great experience with Traci! Hopefully the next rv park host will be just as delightful!

I would recommend staying as far away from this place as possible. When we got there we were never given a set of park rules or rental agreement... and the manager has zero respect for Texas tenant rights. The manager was drunk majority of the time we saw her or tried to talk to her for anything. She refuses to answer her phone... thank god we never had an emergency that we really needed to get ahold of anybody. We decided to stay there as it was advertised with multiple amenities such as wifi, dog park, laundry, and firepits. The wifi didn't work, the dog park is sad at best, the laundry was closed, and the firepits are just rusty car rims thrown on the ground. The manager targeted us and treated my husband and I like trash in response to me not dealing with her screaming at me over the phone while I was at work. Not only did she treat us like trash but she damaged our camper. She beat on our front door so hard that the deadbolt was bent and jammed. I reached out to the regional manager of the park about the situation and nothing was done to help us out although I do appreciate that she did genuinely seem sorry that the manager put us through that. The mail is delivered into a crate at the front of the property despite there being multiple small buildings that could be used as a mail delivery spot. Overall this is the worst trailer park I have experienced and we have stayed at multiple all over the country.

We stayed in our campers. The campground is clean, well taken care of, and quiet which I was not expecting since it is right off the highway. Owners are very nice and thoughtful. Needed to stay a little past check out time and they didn't even hesitate. Super nice. My only issue was our site was literally flooded. To get out of our camper, we had to step into a board, get on top of the picnic table and then jump in front of the camper to reach dry land. It was an experience. Even with that, we would definitely stay here again.

And the whole place is beyond my expectations for an RV PARK Management is exceptional, lots of over tge road workers here so it's always quiet. Close to town with lots of food choices. This place is definitely top knotch if your looking for a pla e to crash short or longterm.

Have never experienced such true kindness. My husband (age 84) & I were taken to local emergency room with Covid. ER MD recommended Hitchin Post as we were not able to continue drive. Tracy the Manager texted us after hours where we could stay and the next morning sent 2 wonderful guys to help us with hookups. She ten brought us several bags of groceries to help us with our illness. She is truly an Angel and saved us in so many ways. She would not let us pay her. Where do you find kindness like this and there are no words for thanks that are enough!

My husband and I are staying here for a work project. The hospitality is on point! The cabins are adorable and I even got a peek of one of the tiny homes and it's super nice! Laundry service is available or their laundromat. We have really enjoyed our stay!

Stayed here for a week when the reservations we had at a different park in town fell through at the last minute. I think most people here are permanent. It is very windy in west Texas and this spot is no exception. It is right off the interstate frontage road, so lots of highway noise. It would probably be good for a quick, overnight stay.

This is a hidden gem. I chose this place after reading the not so stellar reviews on the hotels in the area. We rented 2 cabins for a week. They were very clean, which is something that is a must for us. The bed was nice and firm. Cookware is provided in the cabin, which was great since they have fresh eggs available. Staff was very nice and accommodating. They have a nice playground for the kids, and a fenced in dog run. They also have a wash area for dogs with warm water, made us wish we brought our dogs. We really enjoyed our stay!

Such nice owners! We only stayed 1 night but such a nice stay. Really nice flat spots, full hook ups, and we didn't notice in the night but they do have cable. Have a little dog park and a great play area for the kids. The kids especially liked the chickens and the owners gave us some eggs for staying with them which were delicious for breakfast.

We love this place. We stopped here on our way to Denver and it was everything we would want in a RV park. Our water pump died in route and we contacted the owner after hours, they were more than willing to help us out.Kindest staff, we were treated like friends from first contact.Beautifully clean facilities, I even got up early to visit them and ran into an attendant cleaning every aspect of the wash room.Nice open area, dog park and playground.I will always make a point to stop by here when traveling through. Best wishes y all!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my stay at the Hitchin' Post! I stayed in one of the cabins for several weeks and it was a great experience. The cabins are cozy, well-maintained, and have everything you may need for your stay. They are roomy enough for multiple people and come equipped with a full kitchen. There is a large porch outside every cabin and a fire pit for those cool summer nights. The grounds are large and have plenty of space for camping tents, RVs, and kids/dogs to run around in. Page, Lori, and Gary (the owners) were such a pleasure to visit with. They are incredibly kind, thoughtful, and welcoming. I cannot recommend it enough! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Family owned and operated it shows!! Stopped at The Hitchin Post kind of unexpectedly on a road trip. We got in late (after office hours) but they had a very easy after hours drop box. We had to take our truck in for repairs in town and the maintenance man was super helpful and offered to drive my fianc to go pick it up! The family who owns the place is unbelievably kind and gave us fresh eggs when we went in to extend our stay another night! The sites are very well maintained, water was great for drinking straight from the spigot. The bathrooms and showers were VERY CLEAN we we greatly appreciated. Nice washer and dryers, dog wash, dog park, play ground and the most breathtaking sunsets. Overall this place was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend. Once the water park that is being built next door is finished this would be the perfect family destination! The only downside is you will be disappointed with any other RV park you stay at from here on out! <3 Thanks Hitchin Post for having us!

This being or first time out on the road with a new trailer I must say this was the best experience I could have ever hoped for! The staff are wonderful, grounds are very nice and for being close to the highway it's actually pretty quiet. Loved sitting outside in the morning with my coffee watching the chickens run around and the fresh eggs that were given to us was just icing in the cake! Will definitely be back the next time we're passing through. Thanks so much for making us feel at home!

The buildings and property were wonderful and well maintained. We were right by the freeway but didn't notice the noise at all. The dog park helped our dogs burn off their energy in a safe environment. The playground seemed to work well for the kids that were using it. I would love more big trees on the property to help with the wind. That would be a bonus. But everything takes time and the town itself is just windy. Can't turn off mother nature. I recommend.

A "Prarie RV Park" so don't expect big trees and shade. But if you like a hearty Texas welcome, immaculate and private bathroom/shower facilities, a large laundry room and a great porch to relax while you're clothes are washing, don't pass up this park. Yes, its close to 1-27 but the traffic was fairly light and we were not bothered by any noise. The owners/managers are very caring and work hard to provide a pleasant experience. We will be back!

The care that is put into the campground is amazing. This place takes time to insure that each guest is cared for and their satisfaction is priority one.Every space has a 50&30 amps plug, level and they have picnic tables and fire rings at each space. They are also large, you can open your awnings without even getting close to your neighbor. The bath house is outstanding. First off it s clean, it s private and the decor is too cute. And the laundry is new and it works! If you are looking for a long term place or over night they can take care of you.And it s dog friendly a large dog run and a dog wash with hot and cold water. Wow your dogs Can get that long over due bath they missed while you ve been away from home.

I felt like I was on my own with my new RV and never owning one before. My water froze up . And they went above and beyond to help me. They are amazing people with kind hearts. Everyone here is amazing. You couldn't ask for better people. The park is nice and well kept . This is a awesome place to stay.

Stayed here for a night while traveling south to San Antonio. Great layout, nice sites, great dog park with lots of room. Most importantly, excellent customer service. Will absolutely stay again if we're ever that way.

Randomly chose this place to crash on a long road trip from Wisconsin to West Texas Dec 22. We were SO impressed!! The best shower we had that week was here...pristine bathrooms, a cute little porch with hammocks, laundry. Our dogs were overjoyed to be able to play in the fenced in dog area. There was a playground for kids( we don't have those but I hear they enjoy playgrounds) and get this; on-site layer chickens and roosters! Every camper got a half dozen fresh eggs for free!!! Absolutely no view (right off the highway) but such a nice place to rest and recharge for the next day's haul!!

Great place to stay if you're heading any direction from that part of Texas. Owner held our reservation an extra 3 days, we had truck problems. Place is very new and well designed. Will definitely stay there anytime I'm close. They can handle any size rig and just a great place to stay.
